| 1 each 1-1 1/2pound Steak per serving (1-1 1/2 inches thick) 1/2 fifth scotch whiskey 1 head garlic 6 ounces Worchestershire Sauce 1 large Bermuda onion 2 tablespoons meat tenderizer Place the steaks in a five gallon non-reactive container. Clean the garlic and place the cloves in a blender with the onion, tenderizer and Worchestershire sauce and liquidfy. Mix with the scotch and enough cold water to cover the steaks completely. Cover and allow to soak overnight in a cool place. Preheat your grill to its highest heat. When ready, place the steaks on the grill for approximately 1 minute per side. The marinade is sufficient for 20 steaks. If you're on a budget and would like to try this buy some 1 1/2 pound chuck roasts the next time you catch them on sale and substitute them. I guarantee they'll be just as tender and tasty. I prepared these steaks using 40-1 1/2 pound round steaks (1 1/2 inches thick) for friends in England twelve years ago and they're still talking about them. Yield: 20 servings |
