The bride from the sea By: Nanu107 Disclaimers: Seph and Aeris are not mine, never were, never will. They are own by Squarsoft and co. (Too bad though!) Part 9 Fight, wedding plans.... Taking the heavy bags of the counter, Sephiroth took a deep breath and headed outside. He turned in the corner and waited for Aeris. Who came seconds later. They began to walk quickly through the small village and once they arrived home, Sephiroth placed the bag inside, opened the door wide, and dissapeared in the stairs next to his apartment. Aeris watched him go, made a funny face and pulled the heavy bags to the kitchen. She left the door open and unpacked the supplies when suddenly Sephiroth came, basically, flying inside the room with Vincent hitting the floor as they fell. They began a furious fight. Aeris screamed and called them to stop. Sephiroth looked up at her and Vincent hitted him in the face, sending him to the floor. Vincent moved quickly and stood before Aeris, as if to protect her. When Sephiroth saw this he became even more enraged. 'STAY AWAY FROM HER!!!' He jumped to his feet and pulled Masamune out of his back. Vincent took his gun out while Aeris wondered where Sephiroth fastened his sword, or even when. Vincent pointed at him and was about to shoot when Aeris jumped on his back. 'Stop! Vincent! Stop!' 'Get off me Aeris!' 'Yeah Get off Him Aeris!!' Moving quickly Aeris felt Vincent trying to grab her to push her off him. Sephiroth pulled her and threw her over the couch, Vincent turned quickly and stopped his sword from meeting his flesh with his gun. They both gritted their theet. 'Sephiroth! Stop!' The strenght in the Masamune was slowly leaving. Vincent frowned and looked at Sephiroth as he pulled the sword away and turned into a neutral stance. Vincent noticed that he could leap at him, or simply just let him go the way he was standing. But aparently it was up to Aeris. The girl came between pillows and sheets and stood up. 'You two Stop It! I don't want anyone killed here!' 'He was following us!' 'So?' Aeris walked towards Vincent and hugged him. 'How have you been Vincent?' Vincent found himself returning the hug. 'I've been better...' Aeris smiled at his comment and turned to Sephiroth, who smirked. She, still smiling, pointed at their weapons. 'Let's have a nice talk, I'll make some tea!' She ran to the small kitchen and Vincent fastened his gun to his side. When he turned to Sephiroth, Masamune was gone. Sephiroth walked pass him and helped Aeris witht he tea. Vincent stood in the very same place, looking at the couple. He had to admit to himself, they made a great couple. "Oh yeah, they were dead. How could they both be here?" 'Please sit down Vincent. Tea will be ready in a few minutes.' 'Aeris?' The girl knew the tone of his voice. It was curiosity. 'A moment Vincent!' She tried to avoid him, but in any second she will have to sit next to him to tell him why she was alive. She heard the planet murmuring and turned to see Sephiroth walking towards the room. Vincent was looking at the same direction. There was something in his eyes, and he knew it was about Sephiroth's mother. 'Vincent?' She placed a hand over the man's shoulder. He turned and looked at her with his intense red eyes. 'Forgive Sephiroth, he is a little overprotective with me. Sinse he learned he had another chance, he changed completly. He now cares, even if you don't believe it.' 'Oh, but I do believe. He had his reasons to attack me, after all I was the one following you two.' 'It doesn't matter. I'm happy you did. Tea?' 'Of course.' Sephiroth heard them speaking in the kitchen about how well Vincent was doing in his new life. Aeris told him the story of her rebirth and asked about Cloud. 'He and Tifa had decided to get married.' 'Oh,' She seemed sad, even when she smiled up at him and said: 'I'm happy for them. They deserve each other.' 'Aeris...' 'I'm fine, don't worry. I expected that much. They know each other sinse they were small and Tifa can really take good care of him.' Vincent nodded. He heard Sephiroth spying on them and lowered his head. 'Who would have though, you are still alive and living in an almost desert island with Sephiroth.' She blushed, and Sephiroth cringed. What was this...man suggesting? Aeris was nothing but a lady! 'Oh, Sephiroth and I are friends now. We left our past behind... anyway I'm leaving with you guys, now that I have in what. Not many ships come around here you know?' She laughed softly and thanked Aeris silently before Vincent chuckled. It sounded scary. 'But yet, you could have moved with a single old lady that lived in the area, couldn't you?' 'Yeah, but there is no old single lady that lived around here so...' 'So you stayed with Sephiroth. Are you two good friends?' Was he trying to get them together? Sephiroth mussed, I should apologize, if he gets her to stay with him he'll call Vincent 'father', and marry Aeris without any doubt. Part 10 ...and 'goodbyes' Vincent left and Aeris closed the door with a small sense of regret. She was to be ready for tomorrow afternoon, before the boat left her here for another six months. How could she say goodbye to Sephiroth in such a short time? Why would it be so hard, anyway? Yes he had been a gentleman letting her stay without wanting nothing back, but her forgiveness, yet he had drilled a small part of her heart and was now filling it with his eyes. But the planet needed her, and she had to leave. The voices of the planet filled her ears softly and she felt tears swelling up into her eyes and wanting to spill, she wanted to hide and cry but Sephiroth was in the room and the bathroom was 'in' the room. The kitchen was too small, the living room was right next to the kitchen and... Falling to the floor she sobbed softly. Why did she felt so sad, so empty with only thinking about leaving Sephiroth? She was returning to her friends, to her life, to Cloud.... Cloud was to marry Tifa, but what about her? What will destiny have for her? Why can't she find a good man that will care for her and make her feel complete and happy? Where was that man? She felt someone pulling at her arms and into a warm embrace. She felt Sephiroth fully, his arms his hair around them. Suddenly something else covered her and opening her eyes she saw a pair of wings coming out of his back and embracing her. He was hushing her and caressing her hair and back. He was an angel... 'What's wrong, Aeris?' He asked softly as she stopped sobbing and held onto him. 'Cloud is getting married.' He stiffened and closed his eyes. His breath came out ragged and she realized he was trembling. 'I have to go tomorrow, Sephiroth. Vincent told me that Cloud and Tifa are getting married tomorrow morning before the boat moves to the rest of the islands.' 'If you have to go, then go. the planet needs you.' He was holding something else back. 'I want to go, I want to see everybody else again, I want to show them I'm alive...that I survived. But I just don't want to...' Sephiroth tightened his hold of her and his wings shuddered. He was still trembling. 'Aeris, your duty with the planet it calling for you. As the general I was, I must encourage your to continue to fulfill your mission. And then, perhaps, happiness will come to you. No matter with who, or when or where. And I'm sure that the man you so much want to care for you is waiting somewhere for you.' 'Oh, Sephiroth...' She sobbed and he swallowed hard. Why did she had such control over him? Why did he too wanted to cry and hold her to never let her go? Why was he so deep in love with her? He wanted to comfort her, to cuddle her in his arms and never let her go. But the planet called her and pulling her up softly he walked her to the bed and realized the sun was sinking. 'Maybe you should go to bed.' 'Sephiroth? Will you say goodbye to me tomorrow, before I leave?' 'Yes. But don't expect me to be there when you leave for the boat.' 'Why not?' She saw the hurt in his eyes and lowering her face felt the soft sheet and felt a little sleepy. He caressed her face and smiling softly turned. 'Where did you hide those huge wings?' She asked still very sleepy. He smiled softly at her and told her that those 'huge wings' where never gone. 'They had always been here. You just didn't look closely enough.' 'Uhmm. How come?' 'You are too sweet to see another angel, Aeris.' He kissed her cheek and nuzzled there. 'Sleep well.' End of Chapter 5
