The bride from the sea By: Nanu107 Disclaimers: Seph and Aeris are not mine, never were, never will. They are own by Squarsoft and co. (Too bad though!) Part 3 As night falls - Aeris. - He looked up at her and saw her sitting on the bed. He put his tray down, walking towards the flower girl. She looked at him and her eyes widened as she realized he was coming closer to her. - Se... Just them he knealed before her. - Please...forgive me. Stunned Aeris looked down at Sephiroth's kneeling form. His hair fell down his lap, touching her feet. His eyes weren't looking at her, but down at her lap. He was nervous and she knew this was the first time he had never done this. Looking at him Aeris smiled softly. Raising her hand she hesitated before touching his head. - It's ok, Sephiroth. It wasn't your fault. His shoulder blade relaxed, his arms rested in the floor, he took a deep breath and somehow ashamed stood up. Nervously he gathered the plates and walked quickly out of the room. Aeris watched him in silence. "He is so proud, I imagine how hard it was for him to do that. Wonder if he lives alone here?" Walking into the kitchen Sephiroth took deep breaths of air, his heart was beating fast and his blood was running in his veins. "Well at least you were brave enough." Closing his eyes Sephiroth swallowed hard. "Brave? I never looked into her eyes." Hearing the soft steps Aeris made in the wodden floor, Sephiroth turned. She was looking at the door. Her hand was in her mouth as she gasped at the well done finish. Looking at her, Sephiroth too a deep breath. - I hope you enjoyed your dinner. - He returned to the dishes and put them in a water bucket. Aeris was standing in the middle of the living room, looking at the small sofa Sephiroth had received from the last single man that had gotten married. The thing had being passed to single man from single man for years. 'And maybe I'll stay with you for the rest of your life.' Looking around Aeris noticed she was inside a cave. Although it seemed rather comfortble, it was still a cave. 'He'd done a pretty good job with this place.' Hearing a thunder clapping in the sky, Aeris jumped her eyes wide in fear. She hated storms, and not because of the rain, she always though storms were made for newly married couples in their first night, so they could cuddle and sleep peacefully with the rain drops on the windows. But she hated storms because of the thunders. They seemed loud and rude for soft occasions such as honeymoons. Finishing with the dinner plates, Sephiroth turned once again to her. 'And just how did she got here?' He put the chair he had used in place and decided to go for a shower. Aeris had being quiet all this time and he though she wouldn't mind if he took a short shower. Sephiroth smiled as he passed by her, she seemed nervous but he ignored the fact and walked pass her. - I'm going to take a shower. Do you mind? - Aeris nervously looked around and turned as his words sank in. - Oh! No, no. Go on. I'll be right here. - I doubt you'll go anywhere with this storm. - She didn't seem to get his joke. He smiled at her serious face. - Excuse me. - He took some clothing and dissapeared in the bathroom. Aeris decided to explore a bit more now that Sephiroth had gone for a shower. Looking at the kitchen she found it smaller than she thought. There was small a sink and some kind of cutting table. She noticed the boxes full of food and smiled. There was enough for the both of them. What time was it anyway? She remembered talking to her mother about returning to the planet then suddenly everything turned black and she was underwater. "Oops! A slight miscalculation!" She was sinking fast and trying to swim back she found her strengh gone. As her eyes closed and she figured she'll return back to the Lifestream she felt someone pulling her up. She had seen the light of the sun and then darkness again. When she awoke she had seen Sephiroth and frozen to death, but when he gave her dinner and ask her forgiveness she relaxed and knew he would not kill her. Perhaps he might even help her. Hearing the whispers of the Planet, Aeris looked outside by the small window in the kitchen. The shower started in the background and it was audible over the rain. Sitting in the couch she then noticed how bigh the t-shirt was really big on her. Wrapping her arms around her thin body she decided to go back to bed. "Wait a Minute!!" There was only one bed! How where they going to sleep!? Certainly she didn't think they could sleep together. She stood quickly from the sofa. Walking towards the small patch of light in the room, looking at the bed. "What is he going to do?" Sephiroth rinsed his hair and closed his eyes. One beautiful woman stood outside, and there was only one bed. He certainly couldn't send her to the sofa and he didn't like the hard floor. Perhaps he could go to the sofa, but it was too small for him. He'll go to the sofa even if its too small for him. He'll respect her, even if he have to go outside and sleep in the storm. Unaware he was rinsing the soap of his body Sephiroth blinked twice. Cleaning his face he realized he'll have to shave, but not today. Stopping the shower he climbed out and began drying himself. She was beautiful, yes. She was his type of woman, yes. He was living alone with her, yes, but for a few days. Maybe she'll want to go to the main continent and find her friends, he heard Cloud was now a living hero. She'll want to go with him. Why was she here anyway? Wasn't she death? Well he too was death, but the Lifestream sended him back, why? He had no idea. Maybe she was here to save the planet again. But she was too fragile and weak. And well alone she couldn't do much. Of course! She had her friends. Putting on his pants and shirt Sephiroth decided not to think or even talk about her return to the planet. Walking outside he saw Aeris standing in the middle of the room, her eyes wide with surprise as he came out and stood on the door. Smiling shyly she lowered her face. She looked pale, and a little tired. Sephiroth smiled and walked towards his closet. - You can go to sleep if you want. You may be tired and I'll sleep in the sofa. - Are you sure? It's so small. - She seemed reclutant but when she saw him pulling a sheet and pillow from the closet nodded and thanked him. Sephiroth walked outside and heard Aeris climbing into bed. - It's late now. - He said entering on the room. When he looked at her she was already asleep. Putting his hands on his hips Sephiroth shook his head. Walking silently he went over to the bed and covered Aeris with the thick sheets. Outside the wind roared on, the thunders were more and more loud but they didn't seem to affect her sleep. Admiring her beauty Sephiroth smiled and walked to the sofa. Part 4 After the storm The storm had fell silence and opening his eyes, Sephiroth heard one loud thunder and stood up to check on Aeris. Opening the door he saw her cuddled in the middle of the room, trembling. She was still asleep, of course, but all the sheets were over the floor. Rubbing his arms, Sephiroth walked softly towards the bed and picked all the sheet, noticing she was trembling harder than he expected. A thunder roared loudly outside and Sephiroth covered her. She sighned and rolled over, finding the bed warmer. In her sleep she smiled and her hair fell over her face. Softly, Sephiroth brushed the strands of brown hair away, finding her skin as soft as silk. She hummed and turned on her back, still smiling. Returning to his sofa, Sephiroth fell over the soft cushions of it. Closing his eyes he wrapped a pair of sheet around himself and closed his eyes. He wanted the morning to come, so he could see her green eyes staring at him. Yet he didn't understood why. Outside the storm had begun again, harder this time. Now he wanted to stay in this night, hearing her humming and smiling. Covering her body with the soft sheets, yet he wanted to be with her, in bed. Cuddling with her warm body. Yet morning came too soon and the storm outside had gone off, and the natives had gone out to see the damages. Knocking on the door the kids from the village called for Sephiroth, who didn't seem to hear them. Aeris who was already awake looked outside, the kids saw her and smiled. - HI! - They all called in chorus. - Hi. - She said waving. - It's Sephiroth home? - Asked the smaller gir, looking up at her with deep brown eyes. Aeris smiled and shook her head. - He's asleep. They leaned and saw Sephiroth sprawled over the sofa. The children looked at her and smiled. - Are you truly his wife? - What? - The chief told us you were to marry him. - Yeah, because the sea send you for him. - They all pointed at the sleeping Sephiroth. Looking at Sephiroth, Aeris felt horrorized. 'I can't marry HIM!!' End Of Chapter Two
