| GRANNYWORK Retired! NO WAY! You say! Okay! Grannies lets get on a roll! We have GRANNYWORK to do. Whether ya sit, rock, roll, run, climb, kneel, dance or get on your face! Its TIME to answer our CALLING! I know you may say, I hear Arthur-it is, or Ben-gay calling! No cop outs now! There is ONE calling on a higher plane for us to be about His Work. NOW IS THE TIME! In this day we have many crisis about us. Mebe its a crisis in your own life, your family, your church, community, your pastor, school, friendship circle, your nation, your world! GRANNIESWE ARE A MIGHTY ARMY WITH A MIGHTY WAR GOING ON! We have a MIGHTY WORKGODS MIGHTY WORK that He has called us to do! We can do our work ANYTIME, ANYWHERE. Some places, some times are more special to us each one. We can do it while we are knitting, hiking, gardening, traveling and so much more. Its for ALL GRANNIES WHO ARE CALLED BY JESUSto go into all the world. Here are a few scriptures to motivate us. I Thess 5:17 pray without ceasing I Samuel 12:23 Far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you Matt 11:28-30 Come to ME.. Ps 95:6,7a O come let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand Phil 4:6,7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. There is a lot of information in scripture about praying and a lot on the net and in books to study on prayer. Jesus disciples did ask only one thing and that was Lord Teach us to Pray. So its a learning experience and yet also experience to learn. Prayer is WORK and it is honorable work before the Lord. Sometimes we feel like we are over the hill n not good for much once we become grannies. It may seem live life is speedily passing you by like the days. Yet my dear Granny Friends we are still valuable. We still have WORK to do! And it is MIGHTY WORK. It may be the most important work you have done in all your life! We may be over the hill and headin down. But do you know WHERE we are heading. Weve been lookin from the top of that hill into that lush valley below. The mountain experiences of our youth were great, but now we have WORK to do in the Valley and its pastures are rich and green and its rivers run deep and refreshing as we Walk and Talk with Our Shepherd while He leads us HOME! Who was the first to know of the birth of Jesus? Kings? Wealthy? Famous? Young? Elderly? Poor? Religious? Well there were the Shepherds, Hannah and Simeon and yes the Oriental men of Wisdom. Of course there was Mary first of all. She was young and poor of common birth. And Joe, he was just a carpenter to be the Lords Father. So what does that tell us? Jesus comes to all people of all walks of life. So what should our response to Jesus be my dear GrannyFriends? Psalm 27:8 My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me. And my heart responds, "LORD, I am coming." Ephes. 6:18 Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere. Ephes. 6:12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. We have more to knit together than our yarn, grannies! We must knit together our hearts and spirits before the Lord. Lets put on Gods armor and get in the battle for our children, grandchildren, husbandsfamily; friends, communitiespastors, teachers, churches, schools; our nation, our world. We are WOGS and we are GOGSgrannies of His Grace! Let us go boldly before the throne in the grace in which we stand! (rom 5:1,2) In the following pages we will learn about prayer, scriptures and helps in our prayers, who we need to prayer for & more. Wont you join in this MIGHTY WORK? We have KINGDOM WORK TO DO!
