Nani Mahina Lovebirds

Sapphire & Opie chicks

These chicks were hand fed and are now eating
seeds, pellets, millet and veggies.

Because Sapphire is a visual Opaline hen, and Opie
is a split Opaline male, their male chicks
will either be visual Opalines or guaranteed
split Opaline, and the female chicks will be either
visual Opaline or completely non-Opaline.

Here is the flock minus one chick, from left to right:
band #8, Band #6, band #7 and band #9

April 2007 chicks

These peeps were hatched in April 2007.
It looks like only the slate on the far right will be opaline,
however, if any of the others are male,
they will be split to opaline.

Of the April 2007 chicks, two of them are cobalt,
and will look very similar to their father, Opie,
except they seem a bit more blue colored

This DNA sexed male is named Kirby,
he is going to be a good little peep and stay here
He is an Opaline SF Violet Aqua
band NML #7
