SEAT DEDICATED IN MEMORY

The Narborough and Littlethorpe Cricket Club have sited a seat at the Narborough Playing Fields,which is the home of the Club, in memory of Kathleen Hall.

The Cricket Club held a Memorial Cricket Match on the day that Mr.Eric Hall, husband of the late Kathleen, was invited to cut the ribbon on the seat to make this available to the
public. His two grandsons captained the two sides, Chris and Stuart Hall. Included in the teams were Mr. Hall's son Peter and relations David Gibson and Paul Fisher Junior. The remainder of the players came from people how had been associated with Kathleen during her years in office at Blaby District Council and Narborough Parish Council of which she had been Chairman.

The Narborough Parish Council were represented by Mr. Ron Marshall- Nicholls and Tom Bates. Also in attendance was Mr. Ray Hurd and his wife who was Clerk to the Narborough Parish Council during the earlier years of Mrs. Hall's Council work during which they had struck up such a good relationship.
During the interval the ladies of the Club had put on a spread for those present. These were headed by Mrs. Hall's daughter Peggy and her daughter-in-law Margaret.
