After a the points frenzy at Countesthorpe Narborough travelled to 'slightly not as backwards and nicer set of lads' Billesdon.

Narborough batted on the wicket of perpetual dampness, helpfully aided by the groundmen who had sweated the wicket under 3 inches of plastic sheeting while the surrounding wickets sat nicely dry.

Andy & Tony Weathered the opening Billesdon attack thinking they were fantastically skilled whilst the ball bit and lifted from spot that Jim Sperry could have looked good on. Even a fielding player commented to a Narb umpire "It's not him it's the wicket".

Eventually Tony did succumb for a creditable 30+ but this time at the crease was to prove am important boost for Narborough later on. Coops Joined Bush for a mutually agressive stand that was to set the tone for the rest of the innings.
Matt again looked good before falling in mid teens, And Mr Young (Jnr) looked untroubled as he danced down the wicket to dispatch a bowler for a straight six. Brief Partnerships with Mr young included the Duke (quick 16 incl BIG six) the brayster( baseball style six). Shaun eventually fell stumped to the local pie spinner leaving Hall (C) and Daz to do as much damage as possible in two overs.  Narborough finishing on a season best of 234-7.

Shaun Young - what the hell is he doing here ?
Narborough commenced to systematically remove the opposition with a mixture of pace/consitency and variety and occasionally very poor balls dollied to mid on. Daz soldiers through almost all of the game at the non orad end with 3 wickets and unlucky not to have more. C Hall remained fastish yet
lacking radar mostly yet still managed 3 wickets. Bob proved to bamboozle Billesdon and removed a threatening youngster with a googly who seemed 3 ferrets short of an walnut.

With the game appearing to peter to boring draw Filth was summoned in a masterstroke that saw him
remove the last the batsmen for only 3 runs. An excellent spell including accurate flighted deleiveries
that bowled the No 11 middle stump.
