September 11

on a beautiful day ..
the sky so blue...
darkness fell...
but what did we do?
why would someone do such harm to innocent people..
people unarmed !
and then we watched the buildings fall...
knowin there's no hope at all..
the twisted steel" the battered hearts
what to do "where to start!
for cowards came in the light of day..
over took our planes"
yet Made us pray
God be with us Please Make us strong
for what they did was so terribly wrong
give us strentgh to carry on "our flag is freedom"
yet our road is long
help us try to understand behind all this ..
is your master Hand..
i know its hard to look above"
to see that God is there with Love..but if you try i think you'll see"
he is still right here with you and me...
may the pain of those who lost the most be heard on high..
by the Holy Ghost and know their tears are not in vain its the very reason
Jesus came . i do believe that one sweet day he'll come again and he will say
"depart from me the evil one
your last day it now has come
enter hell be gone from me
dont even try to bow your knee!
come my children to the sky....
for on that day i heard your cry...
i never left you please just look theres your names
safe in my book! weep no more for i have come....
to take you home..
Gods will is done"

one year ... A tribute ..I woke up to the phone today..like I had one year ago..it wasnt someone crying ..nor was there terror in his tone..but it had the same effect.. in my heart i felt the fear ..just held my breath and listen to the words i knew i'd hear..we never will forget the horror of that daythe tragic loss of lives..yet united we have stayed...each and every one of us carry in our soul ..a memory or a vision of that day..it took it's toll.. Today I stand beside you .. as that very hour passes by to hold you and to comfort you .. to dry the tears you cry ..We Never will forget..the messege here is clear..altho you have been taken .. we will always hold you near!!

God Bless the U.S.A.

If tomorrow all the
things were gone worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife id thank my
lucky stars to be living here today,
Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they cant take that away.

And im proud to be an American where as least I know Im free.
And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
id gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.Cause there aint
no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there pride in every American heart,
and time to stand and say:

Im proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free.
And I forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And Id gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
Cause there no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

.An American
"You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So I just thought I would write to let them know what an American is, so they would know when they found one.

An American is English, French, Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Australian, Iranian, Asian, Arab, Pakistani, or Afghan. An American may also be a Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, Buddhist,Hindu, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American is from the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of each man and woman to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need. When Afghanistan was overrun by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country. As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. The best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best athletes.

Americans welcome the best, but they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were working in the Twin Towers in the morning of September 11, earning a better life for their families. [I've been told that the people in the Towers were from at least 30, and maybe many more, other countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.]

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and every bloodthirsty tyrant in the history of
the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

So look around you. You may find more Americans in your land than you thought were there. One day they will rise up and overthrow the old, ignorant, tired tyrants that trouble too many lands. Then those lands, too, will join the community of free and prosperous nations. And America will welcome them!
