L7

I bought the "Spirit of '73: Rock For Choice" benefit album without knowing that L7 actually helped to start Rock For Choice. The song on that album that they did with Joan Jett didn't cause me to run out and become a L7 freak. That happened later. Anyway, I read a favorable review of "The Beauty Process: Triple Platinum" in Rolling Stone and decided to give it a shot. I did not like it. I listened to it some more. I still didn't like it. Then slowly, like some kind of addict I became hooked on the sheer power of the music. I then proceeded to buy each preceding album that they recorded, disliking each one in order. Then cranking it up like an idiot. I can't explain it. Just FYI, the older the albums the more punk they sound. The pinnacle of my stupidity occurred when I went to see them at the now defunct Rockafella's in Columbia, SC. The show was LOUD, SWEATY, FAST, PURE ENERGY and I can't wait until I see them again! This wild bunch of punk rock women are a cure for whatever ails you.
