JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO

(You probably know her as the lead singer of Concrete Blonde)

LATEST NEWS - 02/21/06

Sketchbook 2 is now for sale.

Concrete Blonde is apparently no longer a band. At least one that will tour. This long article has some choice statements that lead one to that conclusion.

antiMUSIC: What's the current status with Concrete Blonde?
Johnette: We're done.

Johnette has accomplished alot in her time. Aside from the music career, she is also an artist with paint, clay, found objects, etc. and at one time owned an art gallery in L.A. called The Lucky Nun. She was scheduled to have an art book out in the Spring of 2005. It seems to have been put on indefinite delay.

I have followed Johnette's career from Concrete Blonde, Vowel Movement, Pretty & Twisted, Los Illegals, and The Heads. I have bootlegs, videos, posters, imports, magazines, and pictures. It never seems to be enough. I have actually had to stop buying items off Ebay. How many Australian music magazine interviews does one person need? Doesn't the German copy of "Bloodletting" sound just like the USA edition? Now I just try to pick up some unique or really special stuff, instead of anything and everything.
