Act 1: Her Situation
Yukino is the smart, beauitful but of course 'oh so modest' student at Hokuei High School. Her popular shot to the top sa she charmed her way with the students and made her way to being 'the best.' But of course, with every up there is a down, and Yukino's down was that of Arima Shouchiriou.
Yukino at home is the truth behind the 'perfect student.' She dresses sloppy and yanks her hair back and puts on a tacky headband. Not only is Yukino grumpy, selfish and Oh so confident in herself, she's incredibly vain.
Sister's say:
"Our big sister students the whole night to get good marks, trains herself for gymnastics glass, and checks herself in front of the mirror to make herself look beautiful. She makes a big effort to tickle her vanity."
PARENTS:
"Since she was a little girl, she always pretended to be a good girl in front of others. Vanity is a already part of herself."
Yukino of course has to disagree with this. Stating... "Everyone why? I don't understand how you can be so normal?" Can we say, problem?? Even though Yukino concentrates on appearences alone, she also has an arch enemy. He's handsome, sweet, modest, comes from a rich family that runs a hospital and sports minded. So of course, girl flock and guys join, making Arima popular ASAP.
When it came to the first High School entrance Exams, of course Yukino studied hard to beat Arima, and when she knew that she had passed and Arima was right below her, she was crazy with joy inside. When she made her debut in high school, everyone admired her more because she had beaten Arima in the entrance exams, something that she was overly proud of. When she went to confront Arima, Arima gave her a smile which totally caught Yukino off. She then new that Arima is actually a really nice guy, and that he doesn't want or need other to admire him. He's just him.
Of course Yukino was disappointed that Arima wasn't mad or sad that Yukino had gotten No. 1 on the entrance exams. But one thing that made her really shocked is when Arima suddenly declared his love for her. With his Yukino rejected his love, (poor guy), but when she went hime she bragged about it in front of her sisters. It's true that Arima was her ideal man: smart, handsome, modest, everything. Yukino objected and went to sleep. So, Yukino seems to be against love. When Yukino's sisters had left for the movies, Yukino was left hanging around home. When someone knocked on the door, Yukino thought it was her sister coming to get something they had forgotten. She flew out the door and kicked the visitor.. whom was Arima. So, for the first time her face was shown to someone from school, her true face.
