Leon Lai has a faithful assistant that follows him everywhere over the years. Becoz this assistant is a funny fellow, many insiders and celebrities like to talk abt him. In fact, he is rather well-known to the media as well. Ah Baw gossiped that there was once when Leon was leaving a promotion scene and hordes of fans surrounded him. This assistant naturally tried to 'protect' Leon from those crazed fans by blocking them, Instead, he got knocked down by the fans and fell flat on the ground. He reached out his hand in a dramatic way (while still lying on the dirt) and hollered : "Lai-sang (Mr Lai)! Nei mo lei ngor! Nei zao xin la! [Mr Lai, no need to care about me, you go first!]
There was a time when the media interviewed him and asked him what kind of person Leon Lai was. The assistant said with a straight face in a serious tone : "Lai-sang ng hai yan, hoei hai San! [Mr Lai is not human, he is God!] Ah Baw was very fascinated by this assistant so she asked around in the make-up room to see what position he held; whether if he was from the record company or Leon's personal assistant but no one seemed to know. When Ah Baw asked some insiders during dinner one night, the person beside her said in a serious way, "Yah, we know what position he holds, we all know, you don't? He is ... Assistant Of God."
That was the nickname of this mysterious faithful assistant that insiders of the entertainment circle gave him.
