comments: bought it because i like naohito fujiki. my initial
thought was also "teacher-student relationship and terminal
disease again... how boring will it get this time?" but hey... it
was a bit more than that... the twist started when the student
mistaken herself as the one who has got the illness, and the teacher
kept the truth... in order to observe her, see her as himself in the
mirror, having someone to share the same fright and loneliness... and
eventually developed into a sweet, romantic relationship. Subplot of
another teacher's hidden secret and how he tried to save another
student from the hands of a playboy/gangster, as a form of payback for
his past deeds... which also had a twist in the story towards the end.
this a 2003 new version of an old drama "high school
teacher" in 1993(with a more queer and complicated story) by
Shinji Nojima, the same scriptwriter for "101 proposal",
"under the same roof", "le bel homme",
"strawberry on the shortcake", "golden bowl"...(NO
WONDER~) "high school teacher 2003" has caused my crave for
jap dramas once again... friends free/interested to watch this are
welcomed to borrow from me.
