Red skies from fallen mortar shells beyond
Crossing the river behind their leader quickly they follow
Faith gives strength as onward they go
Into the fight
In the heat of the jungle and the smoke of battle
Their march continues over mine filled lands
Ever alert their eyes ever watching they march forth
Into the fight
Many will return to homelands they love
Many will die in the trenches and fields
But never without bravery courageous they go
Into the battle
