Oasis, watch out!
Deliriou5? or Dilerious is earning a whole lot of respect as a band, even in the secular scene. Their popularity is very detectable over in the U.K. They are often compared to Oasis, but we think that they have little bit of a different feel. They do an awesome live show and have an over all good sound.
Delirious started out as a praise and worship band and now are more of a rock band while still praising in a metiphorical way, I'm sure. They received a lot of recognition over here in the U.S. for doing the praise and worship song 'Did You Feel The Mountians Tremble?' Some of their singles have even been given away in cerial boxes in the U.K.!
They started doing the more rockier songs starting with their last album, 'Mezamorphis.' This album has a lot of good songs on it. I believe that their first release off this album was 'Metamorphasis' This song is very catchy! Other really cool songs on this album are 'Heaven' and 'Jesus' Blood.' In 'Jesus' Blood' there is a choir part. Delirious use more choir music in their most recent album 'Glo.' From what I have heard of it, 'Glo' is a very good album. I have only heard them perform a couple of songs from it live, and have heard a couple of the same songs on the CD before it was really mixed. It sounded Cool. It was released over here on October 10, 2000.
I would suggest buying 'Mezamorphis' and 'Glo.' Other albums that they have are 'King Of Fools' (also a pretty good one, bordering on praise and just plain rock, if the two can be distinguished)'Live and in The Can' and 'Cutting Edge.' Check 'em out at most Christian music stores, and at some regular CD stores. On a scale of 1-5 we give them a 3.7.
