How do we let go?



Sometimes we meet people who
Unexpectedly become part of us,
Unaware they touch our hearts
And change our lives forever!



Day by day we look forward to
Spending each moment with them,
Unaware we get accustomed to it
'Til suddenly everythin's changed.



And leave they do!
Tear us into pieces,
Leave us nothing but memories,
Memories! What are they for?



Torn we are without a clue
Why have they left,
Or why have we met?
So swift they came, so sudden they left!



Must we forget them, too?
Keep them somewhere in our hearts,
Or bury them in the past?
But how do we let go?
