Place in My Heart
Her eyes that sparkle with the blink of an eye,
The look that she gives me just makes me ask why?
Why do I love this woman with all my heart,
Why did I even love her straight from the start?
Is it the anxiousness that I wait upon her arrival?
Is it the feeling that I get whenever she gives my a smile?
Is it the beauty that I see that is more than skin deep?
Is it knowing that I can�t be with her make me weep?
The soft gentle touch of her lips upon mine
Fill my heart with happiness to think that she would even give me the time.
How can one person bring you so much hope and joy,
But at the same time make you crumble like a soft fragile toy?
I would do anything for her that she may need
Because what it came down to was, I was just doing a good deed.
Love is that which conquers all
But why must it hurt so badly when it all comes down to fall.
I was seeing one thing but believing another
She just wasn�t ready but interested in some other.
Realization is hard when you can�t see through the space between a blink and a tear,
The raindrops falling from my face are that of change because she is gone and not even near.
I guess change does come at that end of every season
To show that everything does happen for a reason.
But since it happened that we did spread apart,
I just want her to know that she will always have a place in my heart.
