Mom

We have so much we want to say
We dont know where to start,
You gave us the precious gift of life
When you delivered us from your heart.

You took each of us by the hand
Each minute of the day,
And led us down the right path
And showed us the best way.

From our very first steps
To our first days of school,
You cared for us so lovingly
It was everything but cruel.

We had the perfect family
Life for us was great,
Then a tragic accident came
And erased the entire slate.

An important part of our family
Was suddenly taken away,
It was almost as if our sunny days
Quickly turned to gray.

Why did it happen?
And what are we going to do,
Those were a few of the familiar words
That we heard through and through.

But somehow we got through
The three of us stuck together,
We changed the way we lived
Because we wouldnt live forever.

Although things were different
And would never be the same,
It brought us closer knowing
None of us were to blame.

You continued raising us
The best that you could,
In fact you raised us better
Than anybody would.

You are the best Mom
That anybody could ask for,
When youve thought youve given enough
You give a little more.

We cant understand
Just how you do it,
You do everything so perfect
Like theres nothing to it.

No words can explain
What a great person you are,
And all the things you do for people
Make you a shining star.

Theres one last thing
We want you to know,
Our love is undiing
And will forever grow.
