Mom

We've been through a lot,
in my teenage years
we've laughed, we've cried
and there's been a lot of tears.

The boyfriends I've had,
you've never liked,
and of course that just
made us continue to fight.

I know we only fought, cuz
you cared what i did,
but like i tried to tell you "mom",
let me make mistakes, I'm just a kid".

All these years I never
thought you cared,
it was always the younger sis,
and I never thought that was fair.

I feel closer to you now,
than I ever have.
I love going places with you,
instead of fighting, we laugh.

I've always wanted you to believe
in me and know I can succeed,
please try mom, I really am
a good person can't you see.

I'm sorry for all the
trouble I've caused you,
I don't mean to hurt
you as bad, as I do.

We both say things that,
I know we dont mean,
but we're just mother and daughter,
I think thats the way its supposed to be.

I only hope we grow closer through
the next few years
and this time we can laugh cry and
hopefully share some happy tears.

Happy mothers day, I,m glad your my mother,
from the bottom of my heart,
I couldn't think of any other.
