Replacing or
Created: Replacing Hashiba Touma/Rowen Hashiba
Name: Alex
Kaori
Nicknames:
None
Meaning: Protector
of Mankind (Greek) Strong (Japanese) Interpreted: Strong Protector of Mankind
Alias (if
any): Touma, Alex no Tenku
Age: 18
Birthday:
October 16
Astrological
Sign: Libra
Appearance:
General: Almost
as if he was weightless, Alex seems to glide on his feet when he walks,
sometimes tossing his head. He’s tall, almost 6’0”, and is very thin,
weighing only about 150 lbs., but has enough meat on his bones not to look
like someone who’s been starved all their life and has to beg people to
give him food. His frame is almost identical top to bottom; his legs
are slightly longer. He looks feminine, his face and long hair give
off the illusion along with his dress code. He doesn’t mean to give
off the deception, just does so as if by accident. His body is slightly
curvier as well, not as angular as he should be. His complexion tends
to be either very pale or rosy.
Face: Alex
has large, child-like pistachio eyes framed by somewhat long black lashes
and topped off with long sky blue eyebrows. His nose is small but
has a rounded tip despite its firm straightness. His mouth is rather
small, but full, giving him the overall look of a typical “angel.”
His face is very balanced, his eyes in the direct centre.
Hair: Knee-length
sky blue hair, three bangs come down on either side of his face, framing
it as they each get longer than the last, the first about to his upper
cheek, the second to his chin, the last to his shoulder. His hair
flows behind him more often than not, due to his almost constant movement
and the tossing of his head. It is very glossy and thick but moves
quickly.
Voice: Alex
often talks with crescendos, going from a whisper to a slightly loud tone
as he speaks, like a violin’s crooning. He doesn’t often speak loudly
when he only has a few words to say, but the more he goes on, the more
the tone seems to go from loud to soft with the phrases. He often
almost seems to sing, a gentle voice yet still masculine, though it does
tend to lean toward a feminine air often.
Dress: Usually
Alex wears loose clothes, and often shirts of pallid colors. His
pants are often loose, and sometimes may be, or are mistaken for, skirts.
He has a very loose clothing choice, nothing excruciatingly hip and trendy
(well, usually) and absolutely nothing that would be restrictive.
His clothes are usually made out of something like cotton or linen, nothing
man-made like nylon or spandex. Alex likes to be able to move easily
and give off an almost old air in his dress choice. He also paints
his nails (finger and toe) pistachio and almost never wears shoes.
Social Life:
Alex’s like is very social. He has several close friends and many
more slight ones, along with acquaintances more than anyone else he knows
does. He has a very wide variety of friends, and enjoys all of their
company. He isn’t a loner at all; he’s very much a people person.
He doesn’t like being alone at any time, and enjoys hanging out with his
friends most of the time.
Love Life:
Alex doesn’t really have one, he’s just a kind of general friend.
I’m sure someone has a crush on him, maybe a few people, but he would rather
just be everyone’s friend and get along with everyone.
Likes: Chickens,
pastels, pretty things, people making decisions for him, being a hippie
Dislikes:
People who don’t like chickens, Communists, anyone Chinese, dark colors,
being forced to do things on his own.
Hobbies: Making
friends, hanging out in the bus, painting his nails, and playing with his
sisters.
Favorite Subject:
He doesn’t really go to school, but art and creative writing
Least Favorite

Sapphire

Sky blue, pistachio and pink.
Favorite Anime:
Card Captor Sakura
Favorite Movie:
Babe: A Pig in the City
Favorite Anime
Character: Utena
Favorite Non-Anime
Character: Foghorn Leghorn
Strengths:
Alex tends to be a very happy person, often uplifting other people’s spirits.
He loves to talk and converse with anyone and everyone. He is very
popular and makes friends very easily. He’s also very optimistic,
seeing the good before the bad, making the best of everything, never wanting
to argue.
Weaknesses:
Alex has a problem with calling people he doesn’t like or doesn’t agree
with either Chinese Boy/Girl/Man/Lady or Commie Boy/Girl/Man/Lady.
He also tends to take people literally and at their first words and impressions,
which isn’t always a good thing. If you’re wearing something very
dark, being commanding, being selfish, or something along those lines and
you just happen to meet up with Alex that day, no matter how nice you are,
no matter how different you are from that on any other day, he’ll keep
you at that first impression. He also tends to be very undecided
on things, not sure what to choose over the other, tending to just shrug
and ask one of his friends to decide for him.
Dreams: To
help build a world where everything is ruled by freedom and you can do
anything you want.
Family: Mother:
Corazon Kaori (Strong Heart). Corazon, normally just called “Cora”
was a very major part of Alex’s life. As a baby and small child,
she was the one who mostly took care of him and she showed her son what
she was doing, teaching him the ways of the woman. She loved her
son very much and all the time, and often held him when she walked around
visiting the other buses. Her heritage is unclear; her eyes are bright
green, and her hair is dark blue. Her hair reaches down to her waist,
but is held back with a silver ring at the space between her shoulder blades.
She usually wears a kimono, oddly enough for a hippie, but it gives her
a very refined look. Her skin is quite well tanned; her limbs are
rather long. Cora seems to be the picture of elegance. She
has a very soft voice, but she screams louder and shriller than anyone
else in the hippie park. She is a very kind soul and it takes a very
long time for her to get angry enough to scream. She spends most
of her time talking with the other women or doing the housework.
Cora keeps Alex by her a lot; she enjoys having him around, being quite
the good little houseboy.
Father: Nori
Kaori (Strong Belief). An ethnically Japanese hippie, however contradictory
that sounds, Nori is one of the driving forces in Alex’s life. Shoulder
length white hair and bright red-brown eyes dance around in his commonly
angry features. He seeks peace on earth as well as within himself.
He is short and stout and his complexion is often red with fury or exertion.
Nori gave Alex a good portion of his education that featured lessons like
“God sent them Chinese Commies to test us! To test freedom!” and
“God loves us... except those Commies!” Deeply religious, this was
the area where his teaching exceeded all others. Raised in a religious
household, Nori passes it onto his children to help make their lives as
good as his. Or at least that’s his belief. He is very stubborn and
does not back down for anything on his belief. He does not encourage
people who are like noodles on their positions, just going along with everyone
else. So Nori didn’t really like his parents, who didn’t happen to
care what was going on or what the issues were. So he moved out into
a school bus which he painted and made his, and found a wife. He
had several children, and was somewhat disappointed with the way Alex turned
out, but still loves his son. Nori personally thinks that it comes
from all the sisters and his over-protective mother.
Sister: Rothrock
Kaori (Strong Weak One). The younger twin, also the lazy and less active
one. She doesn’t really like running around and playing like her
sister, she prefers to talk and gossip. She’s the girly one; she doesn’t
really appreciate what her sister does all the time, but will sometimes
take part in the sports when they’re down a person. Rothrock is often
called “Roth,” “Goth,” “Rock,” or “Rock head,” but she prefers “Roth” by
far. She likes her brother, even though she’s a little weirded-out
when he steals her nail polish or something of the like, but appreciates
his willingness to gossip and be girly with her. Roth has chin-length
dark blue hair, curled slightly into her face, and eyebrow-length bangs.
She doesn’t tend to do much with her hair; she tends to leave it down.
She has green-brown eyes and long eyebrows. She is 10 years old and
still acts like a 10-year-old, maybe a bit like a teenager or pre-teen
at times, as well. She usually wears dresses or loose pants and blouses.
Sister: Rangle
Kaori (Strong Cowboy). The older twin, also more athletic and willing
to run around, Rangle loves to play sports of any kind at any time.
She acts more tomboyish and wears things more like her brother, pants and
shirts. She tends to get his hand-me-downs but doesn’t really care
that they’re hand-me-downs, mostly because she knows she’ll make them her
own by the time they’re worn out with all the grass and mud stains she
gets on them. She is almost always addressed as “Rangle” but sometimes
is called “Rang.” She couldn’t care less what people call her as
long as they’re not insulting her. She takes any harassment very
seriously and has a very quick temper, and will proceed to beat you up
if you insult any part of her family. She has the same dark blue
hair, but hers is cut ear-length and her green brown eyes are the same
as Roth’s. The same 10 years old, but Rangle is slightly more mature
than her sister is, trying to act up to a higher number age. Rangle
likes her brother, but isn’t a big fan of his weird opinions on things,
like his dress code of painted nails. She’s hung around with boys
her whole life, but doesn’t see Alex as a normal guy.
Sister: Umeko
Kaori (Strong Plum Blossom). Alex’s older sister, Umeko is more like
her father than her mother. She has straight white hair with a few
dark blue streaks running through it. Her eyes are strictly red-brown,
and sometimes have a flame rearing its head in them. She has a raring
temper some of the time, especially when her family has been insulted.
She isn’t like Rangle, in fact, she’s not athletic at all. She just
is very quick to judge anyone who comes near her, even at her current age
of 24. She still lives at home, she helps her mother out most of
the time. She loves to watch her sisters growing up, her brother
as well. She doesn’t think that Alex will ever get anywhere in life,
but then again, Umeko doesn’t think too highly of herself. She wonders
if she’ll ever be able to marry and have kids of her own, but she knows
she’ll have to get out of the “Hippie Park” first. Umeko loves kids
almost as much as one can, and wants to help her sisters grow up to be
fine, upstanding citizens. She also wishes them a better life that
she has.
Friends: Officer
Officer Elmo (Officer, Protector) – Officer Elmo is a smiling, happy and
sometimes confused character. He’s not an idiot or anything, he just
doesn’t understand why people who KNOW him call him by his LAST name and
people who DON’T know him call him by his FIRST name. He’s Euri’s
superior, and is one of the several officers who tends to sample what he
confiscates. He’s always called Elmo around the workplace but
no one makes fun of that, no references are ever made to Sesame Street
or the little red monster. This is even as Elmo occasionally impersonates
the monster and his irritating giggle, and has the same red, semi-curly
hair as the puppet and pale pink eyes that almost look white—not unlike
our puppety friend. Elmo is always happy, never wants to be down,
and always wants everything to be happy smappy – not unlike Alex.
In fact, Alex and Elmo are very close personality wise. Always happy,
wanting everyone else to be happy. Elmo has the oddest nose; it’s
extremely rounded, as if it were a parenthesis. His semi-curly red
hair is in a big clump on top of his head and also comes down his neck;
sometimes it curls to the front a little. He’s always seen with a
smile on his pale face. He is found most commonly in uniform; a light
blue jacket-shirt with two breast pockets. Underneath he wears a white
collared shirt with a navy blue tie. He wears a brown belt and navy blue
pants as well. His ethnicity is unclear. He is currently 37
years of age.
Officer Euridice
Enos (Justice Man) – Officer Elmo’s partner, Euridice is more commonly
called “Pallie”, “Skipper,” or something to that like. His actual
real nickname is “Euri,” and he prefers that a terribly lot more than “Skipper.”
He is often the one yelling at Elmo, telling him that he needs to get to
work and stop smoking all the confiscated drugs. But due to the fact
that everyone loves Elmo, Euri is often the one who gets the punishment
instead of him. He knows that Elmo’s not being a good officer, but
he can’t really do much about it. A 35-year old “Junior Police Officer”,
Euri is most commonly found in “uniform;” which is a white collared shirt
with a black tie underneath a long-sleeved navy sweater. Black pants;
shiny black loafers and his hat complete the outfit. His hat has
a shiny black visor with a ¼ inch gold band around the head.
Above the band is another ½ inch of the shiny black material, which
is then stitched onto the rest of the hat, about an inch of navy blue cloth
made into the flat-topped general “people protectors” hat (IE Army, Navy,
Marines, etc.). Euri has shoulder-length black hair with a seemingly
receding hairline. His eyes are black as well; you can’t make out
where the pupil is or where the iris is, it’s all just one slanty mess
of eye. If you haven’t guessed by now, Euri is ethnically Chinese
and happy to be that way. He dislikes very much how the hippies call
him a Communist. He is very stoic and cold; he doesn’t ever smile,
at least not in the company of the buffoons he’s been assigned to.
Ellema Yaron
(Milking a Cow while Singing) – Ellema, commonly addressed as “El” or “Ron”,
is Alex’s oldest buddy, coming in at 42 years of age. Ethnically
Japanese, he has black hair and white eyes. Only the irises are white,
not the pupils. His black hair is straight but styled oddly; the
first part comes around and shapes in toward his chin, cupping his face.
The second part is an overly long rattail; it comes all the way down to
his waist with a silver band holding the hair together an inch or so up.
His skin is lightly tanned and he always looks like he’s going to ask a
question. His nose and mouth are quite small, and pointed.
He is most commonly found wearing a white tank top with an odd cuff at
the bottom, a green gem holding it in place. His pants start at his
belly button but are hidden under the tank top until about his waist, a
little below. His pants are grey, relatively baggy and have a bulge
in them about mid-thigh. They also have those white chuffs on the
bottom, held on by green gems. He has matching cuffs on his wrists.
He never wears shoes, just like any other hippie, it seems. His best
friend is actually a squinty-eyed cow he named “Bessie.” Bessie has
her own chunk of land at the Hippie Park and Ron just loves her to death.
When he first came to become a hippie, his parents came as well.
They stayed for only a day and quickly turned tail and went back to the
city. Ron is very well disciplined and likes to think of Alex and
company as friends, and his family as well.
Giles Stavros
(Baby Goat Crowned with a Wreath) – Giles is addressed as either “Guy”,
“Stavros”, “Juice Man” or simply “Giles.” He’s 21, came about 6 years
ago. His parents are a mystery; he never seems to want to talk about
them. He came on his own and has his own bus though sometimes he
stays with other families. He has a bit of a girly appearance, but
not to the degree Alex does. He has dirty blonde hair that reaches
to his shoulders with chin-length bangs. He holds the bangs back,
at least somewhat, with a black headband he always wears. His eyes
are oddly purple and his smile is soft. He wears a tea stained long-sleeved
collared dress shirt and brown deerskin vest and pants. He, like
any proper hippie, never wears shoes. He’s always smiling when people
talk to him, but when he’s just sitting and zoning out he looks very much
depressed and sad, as if there’s something he’s still missing. He
tends to actually be one of the smarter ones in the group, one of the pillars
of knowledge due to his schooling on the other side of the line.
He does tend to be happy when he’s talked to, he doesn’t ever really tend
to want to show his depression, he more wants to hide it and cover it up
with a smile, but he never seems to do a very good job.
Filipina Tao
(Lover of Horses with Peaches) – More commonly addressed as “Fillip”, he’s
scared to death of horses, no matter what his name means. When he
was 6, he had just gotten the cutest little mushroom cut and so they went
down to a near-by petting zoo to celebrate. Fillip immediately ran
over to the horses – his favorite animals in the whole world at the time.
But his parents were slow to run behind, at least before the horse started
munching on the back of his hair, thinking it was grass or hay. They
complained to the owner of the zoo and he just told them to “read the signs
and watch the kids”. While he grew up, Fillip always tended to keep
the back of his hair long so that the horses couldn’t eat it as fast.
Currently, at his age of 18, he has hair a combination of his mother’s
straight, long “banged” black hair, and his dad’s short tightly-waving
black; his hair comes down to the middle of his upper arm, and is straight
until it reaches his shoulders, where it begins to have tight waves. His
bangs are very much like clumps of hair being pulled out, but they still
flow down nicely to the bottoms of his eyes. All of his hair is black,
like both of his parents, though his eyes aren’t. His father’s bright
green ones carry over in a slightly dulled tone, due to his mother’s stern
black ones. Fillip’s eyes are long and wide, a combination of his
mother’s typical Chinese – slanty, wide, and short – and his father’s not-so-typical
Chinese – long and thin. His eyebrows are also unique: with his mother’s
comet-like ones (larger weight in the inside and then a long ‘tail’) and
his father’s simple line-like ones, his are shorter comets, with a thicker
tail, but less thereof. All three members of the family have small
noses and mouths. Fillip was also forced, throughout his entire life
experience so far, to wear a Chinese dress, like the one most commonly
thought of as either a shirt or a dress: mock turtleneck with three buttons
on the side, mid-upper arm length sleeves, slit at the bottom, accents
of a different color on the edges of the fabric. His is a dark green
with accents of sky blue. Luckily, as he grew older, Fillip
was also able to receive a pair of pants – the same green with a sky blue
accent at the waistband (hidden under shirt/dress) and at the ends of the
pants. Usually he, like Alex, does not wear shoes, but when he does,
they’re dark green slipper-like shoes with sky blue accents around the
outside. Alex and Fillip get along well, they both have cheerful
personalities, but Fillip tends to be a worrier and doesn’t like it when
people don’t tell him what’s happening. (Note: Fillip’s parents were from
China, but were redeemed for this by coming to their hippie colony and
converting.)
(Past) History:
In his past life, Alex was a wine connoisseur. Erm, no. Sorry, they
switched the cards on me. No, it wasn’t funny, Sparkly. Anyway, in
his past life, Alex happened to be a warrior serving mankind, a “Ronin
Warrior,” but the real title was “Youriden Samurai Trooper.” He bore
the Armor of Tenku, the Sky and Space, with a spirit of Wisdom about him
all the time. His, Touma Hashiba’s, parents were divorced, but all
three were friendly with one another. He battled many foes throughout
his escapades as a Trooper, and, in the end, died as a warrior. Touma
was a very wise and intelligent young man, with a hunger for dinner, lunch,
breakfast, brunch, supper, snacks and knowledge. Alex would probably
have somewhat of a hard time identifying with Touma’s great sense of Wisdom,
but Alex would probably make friends with him nonetheless, had they ever
the chance to meet.
(New) History:
Born and raised as a hippie, Alex was a very happy child. He was
always making friends with everyone, trying never to leave anyone out.
He seemed to always have a sense of kindness and gentleness about him,
one that would never let anyone get hurt emotionally so long as he could
help it. Alex was always a place for kids to go to get help with
a problem, someone they could trust, but he also depended on his friends
to help make decisions that would change and shape his life, he trusted
his friends with that.
Alex came
to quite a lot of disappointment when he went into the dating world (which
was at about 10, 11, 12); everyone was his friend and he never wanted to
jeopardize that relationship with anyone. The older he got, the less
appealing he seemed to girls as he grew into being a teenager, with his
long hair and feminine appearance. Some girls believed him to be
gay, but he denies it any time you ask him; all the girls abandoned him,
so all he has is guy friends.
Alex has pretty
much had easy sailing so far in his life, and even when his sisters were
born, it didn’t seem to affect him as much as it would have a year or two
before, even if he was only eight. He always took an interest in
seeing people happy and being friends with everyone and meeting new people
and being friends with them, and spreading a sort of “love” all around
the world.
Armor: Tenku
/Strata. It is mostly a dark medium blue with accents of sky blue.
Symbol: An
upwards arrow with two other lines under the tip
Attacks: “Atmosphere
Crash!” – Alex holds his shepherd’s crook in front of him, and the space
inside the crook (rounded part) becomes filled with dark blue light.
He raises it and a sheet of blue light forms from what was in the crook.
He cries, “Atmosphere!” Alex smashes the crook down until it hits the ground,
when he cries, “Crash!” and there falls the pane over the victim.
The pane shatters and the shards fall into the person sharply, causing
great pain. They can sometimes cut through armor but it isn’t often.
Shards can also fly at people other than the intended victim.
Alex also enjoys
smacking people around with his crook.
Weapon: Shepherd’s
Crook. It’s made out of that unbreakable metal. It’s mainly
dark blue with two stripes on it in light blue, with a stripe of dark blue
in the middle. The stripes come to a point in the front. Its name
is Lucy!
Character
Secrets: Alex sometimes gets depressed that he has no love life.
But then he hangs out with people and “gets happy” again.
Hidden Talent:
Alex can communicate telepathically with animals, especially chickens and
things in the rodent family (squirrels, chipmunks, rats, hamsters, etc.)
Personality:
Alex has a very happy personality, one that is always good for making friends.
He tends to have an air of good will radiating around him. He’s never
sad, never upset, never troubled by anything. Well, except for making
decisions. He’s just a happy guy, never wanting to cause any
trouble, never wanting any trouble to be made. He just wants to be
friends with the whole entire world, it seems, for everything to be one
big happy peace, where everyone can be happy and hold hands. Maybe
that’s the hippie in him speaking, but that’s his approach to life.
Alex is always
only really focused on what he likes; he doesn’t tend to bother with things
he doesn’t. If he has some chore to do that he really hates, he’ll
say, “I’ll get around to it,” really intending to, but then focuses on
something more interesting, more happy to him. Something that makes
him happy. He doesn’t like being forced into doing bad things or
getting into disagreements. He prefers everyone be happy and peaceful.
Alex also
doesn’t like things off balance. If he has a ring on one hand, he
has to have it one on the other as well. He just has this weird need for
completeness, a need for things to match, to balance out, to be even.
It’s just something that nags him and he just feels awkward for him to
lack a simple balance. He always needs emotions and the like to be
in a balance as well. If he were in an abusive situation, he’d feel
a need to be completely affectionate toward the abuser, making the emotions
balance out.
Alex also
feels a need to always be around someone, always have some sort of relationship
going. And not necessarily just a friendly relationship, but he also
feels the need for a more intimate relationship. He always forms a deep
bond with every person he meets; he always connects with them. They can
find something good in him and he can always find something good in them.
He tends to look almost never at the bad qualities as the good ones.
Alex almost
seems like some sort of flirt that does so with every person he meets,
it’s something to do with his needing to make bonds and make them strong
and well. Flirting seems to be a good way to meet people, to get
closer. So if you want to be friends with the world, why not flirt
a little and make them like you back? Alex doesn’t always intend
to be such an incredible flirt, and doesn’t always mean to be, but it just
seems to happen. He sometimes seems to flirt with guys and they will
seriously flirt back, thinking that he is indeed a girl, due to his appearance.
He’ll take it for quite a while and then just tell them the truth.
They often get irritated at that point, and Alex will usually apologize
heavily then, not wanting any bad feelings.
Due to his
very one-on-one, close-relations personality, he tends only to be able
to pay attention to one person at a time when he’s with a group.
He has trouble getting many different emotions at once, and tends to work
with one person at a time, as if he were some sort of doctor or therapist.
And it’s also
this that helps him see both sides of any argument. He is extremely
fair in anything he does, always looking at both sides before asking for
help choosing, seeing as both sides have good points, and it wouldn’t be
fair to choose just one, now would it?
Writing Sample (1-4 paragraphs): “And that’s when he wrote the po-em.”
Other info you may want to share with us: I’m a GM. I don’t have to fill out a full writing sample! Mrahaha! Also note that the only way to be redeemed from being a Commie is to become a hippie.
