8th November

Scorpio

manipulation and mutilation (physical or mental, self or otherwise administered),

Pacifists, Pro-Life people (in any way), people who can’t take responsibility,

(particularly cutting himself), watching gory things, challenging people
to duels (especially those he knows he can beat)

Skilled in many weapons, sometimes can almost control people with his actions

Sometimes won’t care who the enemy is and just attack at random, has a
tinge of laziness (which can grow substantially if left to sit and grow)
Current Residence:
Vit currently resides in and all-too-humble abode above his co-owned tattoo
shop. This apartment has four rooms: a bathroom, bedroom, living
room and kitchen. When you first walk up the stairs to Vit’s
apartment, you are greeted with a heavy grey steel door with a gold “696”
at the upper of the door in an upside-down V shape. A small peephole
lays in the space under the “9” and below that is a white piece of plastic
with the words “Lel et Company” inscribed in black script letters, held
onto the door with a gold cuff.
After
opening the bland door, you are greeted with bright fuchsia walls, polished
hardwood floors, and a plain standing wooden coat rack to your right.
A few feet down the hall, you can look to your left and see a large painting
of a field of tulips with a windmill in the background, hanging in a faux
gold frame.
Another
couple of feet and the wall to your right changes suddenly from fuchsia
to an earthy green, almost a light pea. This is the living room,
you notice as you see a black TV in front of you, in the centre of the
room, while a slim bookcase resides along the wall, only partially filled.
But beside it, nearly ready to snap, is Vit and his buddies’ video collection.
Mostly porn and gory samurai movies, there is the occasional “actually
shown in a movie theatre” movie. Closer to you, in the same line
of sight as the videos is a purply-burgundy leather couch that can seat
two to three people.
Turning
around the corner, keeping the living room on your right, another few feet
pass until you reach the whitewashed bathroom door. Tiled in blue
up to about 6’6”, there is then a row of white tile to flush it to the
smooth, blue walls above, or until the white ceiling at least. The
bathroom is complete with all the necessary furnishings – shower with a
clear or white liner (depending on what they want for the next three or
so months, a white sink which rests on a panel of white marble (an inch
thick) before dipping into the small faux wood cabinet underneath (where
cleaners and the like are held), a white toilet, a medicine cabinet which
is white plastic inside but the door is a mirror, a white plastic organizer
for the towels, and finally, a white bar screwed into the wall for putting
hand towels on and for “easy getting out of the shower” for old people
(yeah, old people, right.)
Next
to the bathroom door is a swinging green half-door for entrance into the
pale yellow kitchen. A couple of feet in front of the door is a full-size
white refrigerator. With enough space to walk around it, there’s
a small island in the centre of the kitchen with a white tiled top and
polished oak around the edges and as the base, in which there are cabinets.
Up over the white tiled, polished cherry edged counters that fill two and
all but the door space of the third, are cabinets with doors of frosted
glass framed in polished cherry. There is an ordering window (meaning
only a partial wall, like a glass-less rectangular window) on the same
wall as the door.
Exiting
the kitchen and going back to the fuchsia hallway, going as far down the
hallway (another several feet) as one can, on the right-hand side there
is a white door with “The REAL Let et Company” inscribed in black script.
Upon opening the door, the first thing that greets you is a strong scent
of incense; the next thing is the dimly lit, very dark room itself.
The walls are all maroon, even the ceiling. The floor is no longer
just plain, cold polished hardwood, but black carpeting, adding to the
deep darkness and mystery of the room. A single lamp upon a table
provides the lighting in this room; the table close to the door and the
bulb never seems to be bright enough. The bed is up against the walls
farthest from the door, often covered in black and/or red satin sheets.
The closet of the room is on the same line as the bed and not as big as
one would think, but still fits all of Vit’s clothes, along with most of
his roommate’s. In between the closet and the bed is a black-painted
chest of drawers for other clothes and other things. Various things lay
up on top of it, various things in it. All shoes are kept either
in the closet or where ever else you choose to leave them.
Current Occupation:
Tattoo artist, porn star.
Financial
Status: Varies on the jobs, but usually Vit’s just living paycheck to paycheck,
not often splurging on clothes and things anymore.
Goal in Life:
To find out everyone’s secret.
Appearance:
General: Vit’s
broad, solid frame has slight curves to it, but they aren’t so terribly
noticeable as Vit sometimes would like. Vit has somewhat thick arms,
ready to deal out a blow from his hand or concealed weapon. His legs
aren’t as strong, but can deliver a powerful kick, just not very high.
Vit isn’t fat; he’s mostly muscle, actually, though he does have this ability
to put on weight easily. But his movements are never just random
and outlandish, he almost seems to have his movements planned out, knowing
just when to move, and standing calmly until the next time comes around.
He tends to stand in a planned way; sometimes very sexual, others just
straight and uncaring, others falsely cheerful and happy. But the
main thing about Vit’s appearance is the way that he just seems to have
a concentrated sense about him like the air around him vibrates with some
unseen aura of power, and that, in turn, spreads upon him, and he wears
it like a cloak.
Hair: Vit’s
hair is a spiky maroon, and seems almost to be gelled in place. But
if you touch it or put him in the wind, it’ll wave around like normal hair
not the gelled stuff. Most of the spikes are thin; a few in the back
of his hair are thick, but not many. It looks as if it had been cut
to try to be layered everywhere but the cutter wasn’t very skilled and
only made it look odder than it should. Bangs to his eyebrows in
the front, a few pieces on the sides and one in the direct middle longer,
and those in between significantly shorter. Vit’s hair stretches
in the back to where his neck becomes his shoulder line, and therefore
almost always hides his Pluto tattoo. A few short spikes always stick
up from the top of Vit’s head, never long ones and never extremely many.
Face: Vit’s
face isn’t a softly curving, cherubim-like one, it’s a sharp, square face,
resting upon a thick neck. Though there is enough flesh on his face
to form delicate curves, the frame of his face is very square and sharp.
The features are all very rich as well, but it’s his eyes that are the
centre of attention in his face. Even with all the varied states
of darks on his face and in his hair, his eyes are the things that just
pull you in. Vit’s neck, though thick, rolls his head well, lets
him see everything without being too obtrusive. Vit’s face is somewhat
large, but not so bad when taken in full proportion.
Features:
Vit is known for his eyes – the deep chocolate, nearly black, they seem
to pierce through one’s soul. Large and wide, they always have an
inner shine or flame to them. Almost everyone who looks into his
eyes feels compelled to like him, love him, or just absolutely detest him,
all to various degrees. Framed by long, black, feminine lashes, they
sometimes invite makeup or glitter around them, to bring a happy sparkle
while the one inside is cynical. His eyebrows, which are occasionally
plucked or shaved off, are long and curving, looking almost to be comets
from the side, with an arch over the eye in their path, their bulk in the
front, the tail behind stretching only slightly past the lashes.
Vit’s nose is short, and looks just to be a little rounded pull of skin.
His lips are very full and, therefore, seemingly feminine. Vit’s
chin softly curves in between his jaw and fuller lower lip.
Complexion:
Tanned, but not deeply so, almost a Mediterranean look
Height: 5’2”
Weight: 125
lbs.
Voice:
Vit’s voice sometimes sounds like he’s yelling a little, but mostly it’s
a smooth, a little high-toned for a guy, low alto/mid tenor. He tends
to rush certain words to get to the longer, more important ones.
His voice isn’t too loud or too soft, if anything it’s a little soft.
He tends to cut his words off very slowly, not suddenly unless it’s got
a sharp S or T at the end of it. He rolls his R’s just a little bit,
not much. His voice isn’t high mannered and upper class; it’s more
of a cynical voice, one that works best with more slang words than proper
ones.
Dress: The
colors you see Vit wearing most are reds and blacks: colors of passion
and death. They’re worn as the main colors, not usually as decorating
colors. Vit, as with any Scorpio, hates pale and frivolous colors;
he likes colors that give off emotion, grab attention, get a reaction.
This is the thought throughout his whole style, not liking lots of frill
and useless things. He enjoys clothes that fit tightly, especially
leather, and things that show off the body and seem almost to have to be
tight to contain him, his essence so strong and lethal it has to be contained.
He especially likes leather as a pallet on which the red, black, and all
shades of both are mixed, intertwined and compliment each other.
He has a long, black leather duster that he favors particularly.
From the seams comes red flames, the longest reaching three or so inches
out. Accompanying this, he usually wears a red shirt (sleeveless
or short sleeved, which ever he prefers that day) and a pair of tight black
leather pants with flames coming up from the flared bottom, reaching about
7 inches before dying. This is his normal dress, but he’s been known
to take other things of his closet, and he does so often, just not as often
as the duster outfit. On his feet he almost always wears heeled black
boots. Sometimes army boots come up, but it’s more often black leather
boots from ankle to knee length. He’s most famous for his black leather
ankle boots with zippers on the inside of the shoe (meaning not facing
out into the public, but in towards the other shoe) which have a two inch
heel and pointed toe. Many people believe he got them from the women’s
section of the shoe department, but no one knows for sure.
Other: Vit
has 5 tattoos and 4 scars, all of which he had done. He was born
with none of these, just so you know and get the point. Starting at the
top, he has a small tattoo of a capital P with a line on the bottom, a
symbol of death, on his neck in the lower centre. The next two come
on his shoulders, and each one gets a different one. On his right
shoulder is a small tattoo of a black flower, the centre is transparent.
On his left shoulder is a scar of what looks like a kid’s drawing of a
bowling ball, a circle with three dots in it. This, in fact, is the
symbol of Death’s head. The scar was made by cutting the flesh.
On his back, stretching in the space between his shoulder blades, is another
scar. This time, it is a scar of a cross. This cross is indeed
the Christian style of crosses, where the bottom spoke is the longest.
This is a symbol of death and sin and was burned onto his back as opposed
to being cut. Continuing down, there is a scar, this time cut, on
his abdomen, in the shape of a sideways Y with all its ends curled.
The V parts of the Y’s ends curl outward and make nearly full circles and
the line curls downward and in and makes about a quarter circle.
Down further still, on his left upper thigh about 2 inches from his crotch
is another scar, this time of the symbol of men, a circle with an arrow
coming out on a diagonal, also used for passion. This scar, like
the cross, was burned. Another inch below that, on the right thigh,
is what looks to be a filled David’s Star on a cross with a triply thick
horizontal bar. This tattoo is a symbol for sexual relationships.
On his right hand, on the topside, is a tattoo of an equilateral cross
(all 4 spokes are the same length). This is another symbol of death.
Finally, on his left ankle, there is a small tattoo of an upside down pentacle,
which is a known symbol of the Devil.
Personality:
Vitalis has a few key points, also known as the three M’s: Murder, Manipulation,
And finally, Mutilation. These are his most favorite things in the
whole world, what he revolves around to an extent, the things he knows
he’s addicted himself to, something he can’t get off of. He’s conniving,
sneaky, and will do just about anything to get to where he wants to be.
He isn’t one to be pushed around, because despite his appearance, he can
pack a blow that’ll hit home, by his words that mess with your mind, his
demonic tricks that’ll make you think he’s someone else. He’ll do
anything – at least, almost anything – to get his way. And, mind
you, he always packs at least one weapon.
Vitalis
isn’t someone you meet on the street, someone you immediately connect with.
Well, at least not as a friend. He’s someone you’ll make friends
with, probably through someone else, become close to, then get you’re head
chopped off after you’ve been used up – or found him out, whichever comes
first. He’ll tell someone his secrets, in a quiet setting, then quickly
execute them – it’s what he does. He’ll know if someone’s watching,
use them the same way. He’s a murderer, and not one that’s ever found
out. If they did, he’d be in jail for life before a second word.
But what Vit does before he kills them is always asking them about their
deepest, darkest secret, and then secrets remain secrets.
He’s
not just a person infatuated with death and killing people, even though
that runs through his mind constantly, he’s also about sex, drugs, and
various other sins and unacceptable behaviors, though those sides of him
are rarely seen, if ever. Nonetheless, he could get killed by many
of these things if taken in large enough quantities. Vit is just
one who wants to take in life, then mangle with it, and then end it.
And he’s bisexual, doesn’t care who he’s messing with. He’ll dress
up as a girl for all he cares, if it’ll give someone a good run for their
money, and a good death.
Vit
is also into self-mutilation, as you’ve probably figured out from his appearance.
He thinks it’s fun to test just how far the body can go, just how much
you can do before it’s too much. But doing this can always take it
a step too far: get him killed, put him into severe pain, injure him for
life. He’s always ready for a challenge, welcomes them more often
than not and never second-guesses himself. He’d never care if he could
get killed, because he’d just even up the odds with a few more weapons
and even some phrases for any occasion and he’d test how far he could push
himself before he gave them a good bullet to their brain.
So some
would think that, if you could sum up Vit in one phrase it would be “epitome
of evil,” while others would argue “a whole mess of fun.”
Friends: Alma Nani (Soul Charmer) – A hardworking and serious Capricorn, Alma is the co-owner of Vit’s tattoo shoppe, Soul Taker. She’s not the one who goes out and advertises, she’s the one slaving through all the paper work, working as long and hard as she has to, to get it done. She’s pale from all the staying inside, all the work somehow doesn’t give her circles under her eyes, she doesn’t get bored with it, she thinks it’s fun. Alma has one thing that she prefers to hide, yet still treasures: her tattoo. It stretches from her face, where her ear and face join, over to her chin, down her neck, over to her shoulder, down her arm and to the end of her pinky. Her face appears longer than it really is due to how thin it is. Two slightly large, dark blue eyes rest inside of thin eyelashes, not in any way show-off-y, under two thin eyebrows which seem to just be curved lines, no comet shape to them. Alma’s nose is small but straight and pointed, quite rigid. Her lips are most often painted red; they seem to turn down at the corners and make her look a little sadder or more disappointed, depending on what her eyes are doing. Her shoulders and hips aren’t very broad, but people don’t tend to notice her general appearance under all the clothes she wears in public and all the papers she hides behind otherwise. But the thing about Alma is, contrary to most women, her shoulders are slightly wider than her hips. Her arms are quite thin, as is the rest of her body, and slightly child-like, very delicate. Black hair frames Alma’s face in straight locks down to her chin and with bangs just above her eyebrows. She actually is a co-star of Vit’s in quite a few porn movies.
Eulalie Amador Lehana Dorjan (Sweet Talk Lover who Refuses the Dark Man) – More commonly known as “El”, he’s the guy who was hired to advertise Soul Taker, make it more attractive and more inviting. El himself is always on the move; never wanting to stay committed to something for a long time. Unfortunately, Vit found El more than just someone to help with Soul Taker, he found the traveler’s seldom-seen personality enticing, something Vit had to find out about. But El’s always on the move and doesn’t even like Vit, not one bit. He knows the tattoo artist is good and a good source of work, but he’s not willing to go farther than he has to on this job. Being a Sagittarius means having a good time, and he’s always willing to go out for a drink with his buddies – and Vit’s not a buddy. El’s got his own posse, and doesn’t want Vit to mess with them and make him take Vit on in a personal way, like the Scorpio wants. El has butt-length dark brown hair, usually up in a ponytail, bangs to his chin surrounding his face. Brilliant green eyes sparkle with laughter most of the time, and his nose stands out, firm and straight. Often with a reddish tone to his face from the travel – mostly running – he does, his movements are more caught as a speed around the bend, with more grace there than sitting around discussing things. El is the person you’d want for an assistant to go run out and get you this, fetch you that, etceteras.
Part Two - Past
History: Vit was born to an annoyed mother and a gleeful father. Always taken to work with his mother, her co-workers almost thought that her husband had abandoned her – they saw the ring – or that she was just a one-woman band and that she just put the ring on to trick people. But Vit grew up more in his mother’s office and at school than at home, and almost never with his dad, not that the little boy wanted to. He had his personality early and always pretended, usually after a movie, that he was a fearless samurai and his dad was always the bad guy. It was always intentional, but his father never really noticed it until he asked his son to go play with his mother, make her the bad guy. Vit replied, “No, you’re the bad guy and nothin’s gonna change that!” Vit learned his full personality and his whole sexuality from his mother, she taught him just what she knew. Vit learned early on what he wanted to do, where he wanted to go with his life: the first thing he wanted to do was be a samurai. He never accomplished this first dream, but he found a samurai sword under the Christmas tree when he was 14. It was to hang on the wall, not intended for use, but he got a sharpening stone, sharpened it, and then hung it up, and could take it down any time he wanted. Vit learned martial arts, and became skilled in every weapon they had to offer. When he was 16, 11 years after he’d begun he quit, a second-degree black belt, he’d learned all he needed to. He still practices often, and uses it to catch victims. Vit grew up, learning more and more how to take people out physically while learning the mental way as well. He made several friends throughout his schooling career, but the one who stuck with him most was Alma, who he’d met through another friend in 4th grade. They bonded immediately, and soon the other friend was left in the dust. They both pranced through the rest of their years, through numerous other friends and Vit through various affairs. Vit didn’t have many girlfriends, due to the fact that most people thought Vit and Alma were an item. All lies, of course, but only those two really knew that. Vit would lie and cheat people, saying he needed money because Alma wanted this really pretty necklace and he was broke. Well, the being broke part may or may not have been true, but the Alma part was always a lie, so was the “I’ll pay you back,” unless he paid them back in bed. Vit never did anything to set himself above and beyond being a normal partaker of public schooling, Alma may have done things, but Vit didn’t concern himself with the condition of her schooling. He went home, practiced his skills in swords, fans, staves, etc and his manipulative abilities as well. Sometimes, he’d practice on his father and Vit would laugh when he actually submitted to his son’s will. He’d occasionally practice on Alma, and she was happy to play along. Vit’s murder record didn’t start until he left his parent’s house, he didn’t want to stain their carpets and the sheets they’d bought him, it would just be inconsiderate. When Vit left the house he also looked for work when Alma suggested they open a tattoo shop. Vit had already acquired his shoulder tattoos, the tattoo at the back of his neck, his stomach scar, and his ankle tattoo, so he figured “Why not?” In the course of the next three months, he’d acquired all 9 of his tattoos and scars. For several years, now, the shop’s been running nicely, business coming in and out all the time, and some people have even consented to working in the porn that Vit so proudly helps make.
Family: Mother:
Cora Lel (Heart/Maiden Taker) – Vit’s mother is a Scorpio, just like her
son. She isn’t one who always wanted to settle down and have a family:
that’s the exact opposite of what she wanted. But she got it anyway
when she found out that she indeed could have children, she previously
thought she couldn’t. She forced herself to make a family with this
man that she didn’t particularly like at first, not as much a family as
somewhere for her little boy to grow up. She decided that when he
left and was on his own, she’d go and do the same thing: finally get out
of the hellhole she’d made for herself. She never grew closer to
her husband in all the years they were together, she didn’t want to and
she didn’t want to have a reason to stay. She was always the one
who went out and worked out of the two, she always wanted to get out of
the house as fast as she could. Cora has pink-red hair, straight
with spiking ends coming down to her elbows and with a spiking mess of
bangs down to her eyebrows. Her near-black brown eyes rest within
thin black lashes, fanning out at the outer ends with black eyebrows curving
from where the lashes begin to just before they fan out. With a full
mouth like Vit, her nose is much firmer and sterner than his is.
Her body is less broad and has more curves to it, as a woman’s should,
but still radiates that aura of power. Vit loves his mother and she
does so in return. It was his mom who seemed to be more wanting to
raise him, keep him away from his father.
Father: Tristram
Lel (Sadness Taker) – Vit hated his father, mostly for his personality.
Always happy, bouncy and gleeful, never wanting to look on the dark side
of life and certainly never wanting to have to make decisions. He
has many friends, all of them willing to be called up at any random time
to help him choose this over that, and be happy and such. Not that
Tristram particularly had time to like his son, his mother always grabbing
him away so that they could go and talk and have fun watching samurai movies,
which just grossed him out beyond belief. He was shocked when Cora
had first approached him, nearly raped him, but she got consent from his
stuttering self. But when she annoyedly reproached him, asking him
to be a father to her child, he was happy beyond belief. He had a
son! They’d go out and play baseball, he could help him with his
math homework, oh how happy he was! But with Cora’s constantly annoyed
attitude around him seemed to be the constant pattern, he wanted to help,
but she just ignored his attempts, not wanting to hear about it.
So Tristram just seemed to drift off to his friends, stay with them more
of the time than his own wife, which made him depressed, though being with
his friends uplifted his spirit. When Vit left and Cora filed for
divorce, Tristram was so happy! He finally didn’t have to hang around
that boring, mean, child-stealing witch anymore! He has since gotten
re-married to someone much happier to be around. He has ear-length
black hair in a mushroom cut with a little styling in the front so that
it makes an upside down V so that one can see his light blue eyes, speckled
with green. His eyes are perfectly centered and his nose is quite
small, though his lips are full. His clothes tend to be loose and
pastels, which is the opposite of Cora and Vit’s wardrobes. His Libran
steps are graceful, and almost as if he’s walking on air, not the restricted
movements of the two Scorpios.
Siblings:
Vit has no siblings, Cora had no desire to have any more children, especially
with Tristram.
Part Three - True Power
Armor Name/Alter
Ego:
Oni
Virtue (if
any): Slaughter
Armor Description:
The Oni helmet is topped with a 5” forked blade (forked like a snake tongue,
curled at the ends, note that this is the meaning of this term throughout
this description) with a visible division of the halves and a four pointed
star cut from it after the fork. This blade rests on a small circle of
red with two other little blades on either side of the 5” one. Under this
is a piece of deep burgundy (looks black, but is burgundy) which curves
on all sides, but separates all the red pieces. On the tip closet
to the face, the black is cut and replaced with a red tip. On the
sides of the face, there are what seem to be two flaps, which are connected
in the back, red with black markings that look like rays coming off of
the face. Over the nose and below (with a rounded mouth space cut
out) is a facial mask, all black with a line dividing it down the centre.
This mask ends at the chin.
The
breastplate of the Oni armor actually starts at the neck with 4 rings of
red to protect the neck (the underside of the chin/jaw is unprotected).
There is then a collar of black which is cut squarely with three sides
to the front, two across the connective piece between the shoulder and
neck, on either side and one at the back of the neck, each about an inch
thick. Continuing down, is a plate of plain red covered by two rounded
burgundy plates at where the breasts would be (if outline shown, just looks
like a script X) with a curl at the side where a piece in the shape of
a curved blade is removed, one to the front, one to the back. After
this are four panels of red covering the solarplexus, the first two arching
up, the third a buffer shaping between the second and fourth and the fourth
curving down with small pinches of blades at the sides.
The
“belt” of the Oni armor, which has the two flaps covering the thighs, is
centered with a connecting piece, which features a design similar to the
blade on the top of the helmet, only upside down and missing the curved
blades, in burgundy on red. The two flaps are burgundy, with a unique
design. The shape of each flap is pretty much straight, but does
have a sharp semi-circle cut out in the upper front where the two flaps
would meet each other and the connector. Each flap has six sections
to it. The first is basically just separating the first third of
the flap from the rest. The second through fifth sections are merely
divisions of the last two thirds of the flap which curve at the end, signifying
each section as its own, looking to be one on top of the other, and each
has it’s own strip. The sixth section shares the point of touching
to the semi-circle with the fifth, but is different in another way from
the second through fifth. This section ends not in a soft curve but
in a pointed curve, like a blade. At the back of the belt is a small
square panel of burgundy to make a full-around belt.
The
thighs of the Oni armor are left uncovered, the black underarmor showing.
On the knees are burgundy plates that look like diamonds but with the side
edges shaves down to curves. On those, like everything else, is blades,
this time a pair of seemingly reflected curved red ones, which look to
be very close to puncturing his knee plates. On his calves are a pair of
once again-burgundy plates that cover the entire front of his calves, but
the back half is dominated by the underarmor. The first third of
the plate has a pair of red straight spikes about an inch and a half in
length, an inch in length, at the bottom of the third and about an inch
away from the back of the plate. At the second third’s bottom is
a pair of red, heavily curved blades, about an inch and a half out but
curling back that last half inch, so that the tip is somewhat protected
but still able to be used to attack with. This pair is once again
vertically symmetrical (as was the first) but these are about a quarter
inch from the edge, but are about as wide as they are long and hang on
well, nonetheless. In the final third is an inch and a half-wide,
three-inch long straight spike set in the centre of the third and the centre
of the plate. There is a small space between the calf plate and shoes,
but the underarmor protects it. The shoes are mostly burgundy and
in the same fashion as the trooper’s shoes, but with a half-inch red curved
blade protruding at the halfway point.
Going
back up to the arms and their covering, the Oni armor has a pair of shoulder
guards in burgundy that curve into blades at the top and bottom ends with
another small prick of a blade about an inch in. Another inch in,
at the centre, is five rows of small spikes for grating, or generally using
like sandpaper. Nothing covers his upper arm besides his shoulder
plates, which can and may be upturned to expose his underarmor. His
underarmor also shows on his elbow, hand, and underside of his forearm
as well. On the topside of his forearm is a red plate covering all
but about an inch at the elbow side. Once again, on that side, a
small curved blade has been shaped out of the red metal where on the other
end there is a silver blade that stretches over the black hand plate but
doesn’t reach the fingers. A raised burgundy plate about two inches
in length lays on top of the centre of the red plate and atop that is a
forked black blade of about the same length, but placed a half inch from
the bottom of the burgundy plate, therefore pushing the blade over the
red plate, still raised. Under the red plate, and holding it on or
decorating it, is a burgundy strap, tucked under the sides of the red plate.
A small blade, approximately a half-inch long and a quarter inch wide,
is in the centre of the strap, and therefore the centre (in both ways)
of the forearm.
As for
the weapons of the Oni armor, there is a pair of katanas, but each is unique.
They both have a forked blade at the place where the pommel would normally
reside, the blade growing from the hilt. The hilts are each a different
color – the left is red with burgundy silk making a diamond pattern across
it, the right the inversion of those colors (burgundy hilt, red silk).
The silk criss-crosses along the hilt, seeming to stem from the point in
between the forks of the blade and pool at the end of the hilt, being caught
at the silver guard. From there, the sword blades protrude from the
scabbards about two and a half inches. The scabbard’s colors match
those of the hilts, red for the left and burgundy for the right.
Attack Descriptions:
“Demon Blood Gusher!” Vit grabs his left katana with his right hand and
unsheathes it quickly as the armor on his abdomen dissipates.
He cuts on his stomach, which leaves no afterward mark, and black acid
gushes out, and onto his left hand, and he can throw it at his enemies
this way. The only thing is, more armor disappears than he needs
when he cuts, so that someone could get in a strike there, but if they
strike too close the acid will splash at them from the wound. It
only stays there for about 30 seconds and it stops heavily gushing after
about five or six. It can injure Vit if he uses it too many times
during a battle or tries to keep the wound gushing. The acid can
only burn through one layer of armor after three to four hits of it, but
it can mangle skin very easily and can act like poison and seep into the
bloodstream if pressed on the skin.
Usually, Vit
just uses the two katanas and only uses his magic in situations he feels
absolutely necessary, and in places where he believes he can’t just attack
with his swords.
Attitude when
facing the enemy: Generally his normal attitude, but probably he’s a touch
more cynical and conniving than normal, trying to find what would work
best to defeat and destroy his enemy.
What your
character will absolutely not do in a fight: There’s almost nothing that
Vit wouldn’t do in a battle, except the thing he never does when more than
him and only a single other person is around: share his secrets, though
he might reveal others’ secrets (those of people who were close to his
enemy, etc.) if they’re asking for it.
Part Four - Alliances
What does your
character think of the Ronin Warriors? Vit thinks that they’re probably
such little goody-two-shoes that they’d faint at the sight of blood, never
approve of his ways in any shape or form, and also faint from the sexual
advances he’d no doubt start.
What does
your character think of the new evil that is rising? He thinks it’s delightful
to finally get some power to support his whole mindset, and he believes
that they can indeed win over a bunch of goody-goodies who aren’t as well
experienced in the ways of the world – both the real world and the world
of the sinners.
Who does your
character trust most? Most of all, Vit probably trusts himself and
Alma the most. He knows she knows about him and doesn’t mind, mostly
because she never gets out, but due to her knowledge, Vit knows he can
turn to her in any time of need.
Who does your
character feel that they could depend on most? Alma, mostly because
she’s not one to go around and leave him hanging at any time, she just
sticks around at Soul Taker and buries herself in work. She’s the
one person he could call for anything, because he trusts her and she doesn’t
really question his motives, she knows all about him.
Who is your
character's role model? His mother. He knows all the hardship she
had to go through, how hard she had to work to provide for his family,
and he knows just how much she taught him and how much she helped get him
to where he is today: helping run a business...or two, keeping numerous
secrets safe, and all else he’s doing and has done.
Part Five - Writing Sample
Vit smiled
as he slid his black duster on quickly, his leather pants and red sleeveless
shirt already on for the day, his shoes were quickly slipped on and zipped
up. He opened the heavy portal to the grey concrete stairwell below,
and jumped down one flight, then the next where his feet rested on the
ground. Another heavy door was opened and he was greeted by the buzzing
of a needle and Alma furiously working on bills and other such things.
She looked up at him a moment after the door had slammed shut and smiled.
Vit smiled back and continued to face her as his walk took him out into
the shop and he was forced to turn from her, his face looked almost pained
to do so before he did, but as he did it turned into a cruel smile.
Today was a day to be seized.
He walked
calmly down the street, smiling at people he knew or some that he didn’t.
Today wasn’t the day to find a new target; he could do that any day through
a client. Today was a day for buying something, at very least looking.
What he was looking for wasn’t anything normal, he didn’t quite know what
he wanted, but it had to be something out of the ordinary. It had
to be extraordinary.
He felt
inclined to go into one store, but it wasn’t good enough for what he was
looking for. Another store, and another, and a third, all did the same
thing. They just weren’t good enough. Nothing seemed to be
good enough anymore, not with this lingering idea in his head of a great
thing, something he had to find. He shrugged and turned his way back
to Soul Taker.
He hung
his head, ashamed of himself that he was letting himself be manipulated
by some unseen object. ‘I’d rather be manipulated by a person, if
nothing else,’ the thought as he smirked, raising his head to be greeted
by a darkness surrounding one of the buildings, almost a shining but inverted.
He ran there as fast as he could, careful of the traffic and all else,
and rushed to see what could be making this, but there were no lights that
made darkness emit from them. Vit looked at his hands, only to find
that they too were glowing in an odd light, maroon with veins of red and
black reaching through them.
He looked
at his hands in confusion for a moment and then shook his head. He
looked into one of the cases of items they had and found a large, marble-like
object with some sort of kanji on it, glowing with that same bright black
light. He resisted the urge to shield his eyes and look completely
weird. “How much is that large marble?” he asked the man behind the
counter.
In a
careless voice he replied, “1,000 yen.” He had the same look in his
eyes as he finished, “You want it, kid?”
Vit
resisted an urge to punch him in the face, and hard. “Yes, please,”
he responded in mock politeness as he pulled out the correct money. “Here
you go,” he said as he slammed the money on the counter. He grabbed
the marble from the man and stormed off, back over to Soul Taker, as he
slid the marble into his pants pocket. ‘What a waste of time,’ he
thought to himself, not even taking the time to look at Alma again as he
passed her and went back upstairs to go watch some TV.
