Character Replacing: Hououji Fuu.

Character Name: Aure Tiana, sometimes called A-chan.

Meaning of Name: “Soft Air Princess” Pronounced “AW-ree TI-ana”

Birthday: July 30.  That makes her a Leo.

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Family:
Elodie Tiana is the mother of Aure.  A very kind and gentle woman, Elodie raised her daughter with the greatest of care.  Always wishing for her safety and hoping to ensure Aure a good place in life, Elodie tries to be the parent in charge of the only child in the Tiana household.  She is a stay at home mom; she doesn’t need to do anything like a job due to her marriage to a man of great wealth.  Elodie was raised in a house that always required some sort of help but weren’t wealthy enough and gave the children good work ethic because of it.  Elodie usually is caught up in a book or painting.  She also enjoys writing, but she finds a greater joy in showing things visually.  Her paintings are hung up all around the house.
Jarman Tiana is A-chan’s father.  A stern face and a personality to match... when he’s out or having guests over.  Usually he’s making jokes or doing ridiculous things with the wealth he inherited.  He was raised in a manner much like Aure, but he had to travel all around the world for his mother was a famous actress and had to travel and do shows all over the world.  Jarman got many different experiences from travelling but he never made many friends for very long.  He didn’t want to push Aure into something like he had experienced when she was young because he wanted her to have an honest home and have friends as well.  He taught Aure that the stories you tell can be scary or funny, just as long as they’re entertaining to someone.
Siblings: Aure has no siblings, she’s the only child living in a mansion.
Pets:  Aure has over 100 butterflies, she even has her own room for them, with a large tree growing from the middle for the caterpillars and butterflies to munch on.

Personality:
Outer
-Facades: Aure is usually a happy, outgoing girl who enjoys making friends and sometimes tormenting them with what she has that they don’t.  She likes to make people happy or jealous, but doesn’t like doing so to the point of anger, just so that they get the point.  She doesn’t want people to be angry at her, she doesn’t want to be better than everybody else all the time...
-Body language: Aure usually makes a lot of facial and hand gestures, she likes to show and tell people what she’s talking about.  She can’t keep still for the most part, and she doesn’t enjoy silence one bit.  She can’t stand for it to be quiet.  She usually sleeps soundlessly but is very restless and moves around in her sleep, but doesn’t sleep walk.
-Demeanor: She is generally happy and a bit on the loud side, but not so much as to be the voice you hear above all others.
-Sense of humor: Aure laughs at what she thinks is funny.  This can range from one of her more serious times of nothing to one of the times she’s had way too much sugar which makes it just about everything.
-Flaws: Aure seems to be too much on the extremes.  A little too happy, a bit too sad.  Sometimes too silly, sometimes too serious.  People may think that she can’t find that middle ground.  Well, they’re about right.
-Strengths: Usually being “high” on sugar, she always seems very optimistic, outgoing and happy in general.
-Voice: Aure’s voice can be calm and quiet or loud and happy, but it never reaches a very heightened level unless she’s angry, but she’s not usually angry so you don’t have to worry about your ears getting blown out.  Her voice is soft and calming, like a mother’s gentle speech.
Inner
-Likes: Her butterflies, her wealth, having her revenge, making people jealous of her, sugary foods
-Dislikes: People who insist on “petting the butterflies,” (touching their wings takes the color off of them), her wealth, children who refuse to be terrified by her, people who are indifferent to what she does, being deprived of anything
-Dreams: To breed butterflies and maybe even write a book about them or herself.
-Flaws:  She often goes into states of deep depression and hides away in her room or her butterfly room (it’s attached to hers.)  She keeps a lot of things hidden inside her that she doesn’t show anyone and tries to forget about.  She also is very vulnerable if she is insulted or there is a matter of her reputation at stake.
-Mental intelligence: Aure has a relatively good ability to pick up on things, though sometimes she pays close attention to detail, but doesn’t see the big picture.
-Strengths: Because she fluctuates between emotions so much, she can relate very well to very many people.  She takes pride in being able to help people with their problems, even when she has many of her own.
Effects on Personality
-History: Aure was raised in a large, spacious house with anything she wanted there as soon as she asked for it.  Because of this, she has become very spoiled and cannot relate to some experiences others have had.  She doesn’t know what it’s like to have to drive around in the winter with no heat in your car.  She only knows the best and she has too much of a refined taste that she won’t have anything to do with something less than the best.  She doesn’t like being pushed into an area of non-importance and she always thinks of herself as the ‘shining star who lights up everyone’s lives.’  Her mother always told her she was...
-Other people: Because everyone was always jealous of Aure, sometimes people would get frustrated with her taunting them and even try to hurt her.  After such an attack, verbal or physical, Aure was often scared of other children and became very submissive for a day or two during school.  But she never seemed to be affected when she came home or was with her friends, unless they were the ones who scared her.  Aure’s grandparents were never seen by the girl, her parents told her that they weren’t worthy to see her.  Other people sometimes harass her because of her wealth, which is one reason why she hates it so much sometimes.
-Health: Aure was always on the thin side, she ate a lot and got sick many times as well.  She was often very pale, she didn’t like going outside and exposing herself to the bright hot sun.  She never liked being cold; she always had to be warm, but not too warm.  She would sometimes wear multiple sweaters in the winter to keep warm.
Eccentricities
-Compulsive behavior: When Aure is away from home, everything must be clean and accounted for, nothing can be a mess, which would be just unacceptable.  She has to make a good impression, perhaps that is her subconscious thought.
-Obsessions: Aure is overly obsessed with butterfly paraphernalia, she claims she started the trend as well. She loves her butterflies.  From pillows to hair clips.
-Cravings: She is in a constant craving for caffeine and she can’t live with out it, or she’ll quickly slip into depression.  Chocolate, soda, coffee, just as long as she gets her caffeine.
-Temper: As mentioned before, A-chan doesn’t get mad often, but when she does, she just explodes.  Her usual temperament is like her voice, fluctuating between calm and quiet and loud, outgoing and cheerful.  Usually the latter prevails, her high caffeine intake helping that along.
-Creativity: She finds great joy in storytelling, even if it is highly graphic and revolves around revenge.  It’s still very detailed and a good way for A-chan to “release her anger,” not to mention annoy all the parents and family of the people she’s babysitting.
-Fears: Aure is always scared that her family’s wealth is just going to disappear and she’ll be forced to live out on the streets and eat garbage for the rest of her life.
Anything Else

Physical Description: Aure has medium tone green hair that reaches to mid-thigh and bright blue eyes that are almost neon-ish.  She is 5’ and weighs in at about 85 lbs.  Her skin is always rather pale; she tends to lack color.  She is often found wear a short-sleeved white blouse with a long tie and a green plaid skirt, her school uniform.  She has her skirt a slight bit longer than her hair.  She is usually wearing jewelry of some sort, usually gold imbedded with jewels, often she wears amethyst, the symbol of royalty.  She usually sparkles with the gems.  Outside of school, she wears very formal clothes, often long skirts and blouses, usually whatever’s in, as well.

Armor: Aure’s armor is the same as Fuu’s, but the final form is almost completely different.  Instead of large shoulder plates with pointed extensions, Aure’s shoulder plates are rounded to her shoulders and have a large gem imbedded on the corner.  The main part of her fuku is a more or less skintight (but stretch) green dress that goes from her neck to about her knees.  Flowing from the two shoulder plates is a pale green cape that reaches to Aure’s ankles.  Also coming off the shoulder plates are two long, billowy see-through sleeves that end in the fabric that makes her gloves.  Holding the gems on her hands are two plain circlets of gold.  From the shoulder plates, there is a line of gold that goes up to the collar of the main part, the gold almost touching her chin and then it comes together and flows down to right above her chest into another circlet with a gem.  On her head there is a tiara that is triangular and there is a gem in the centre.  At Aure’s midsection, there is a triple stripe of off white.

Character's History: Fuu had a mother, father and older sister.  She was an archer who loved to study and wanted to be a computer engineer when she grew up.  She’s the one often referred to as ‘the smart one.’  She was brought to Cephiro as one of the Magic Knights and learned the magic of wind.  She was the third to receive her magic and only did so to help Umi, who was on the verge of death at the time.  She borrowed a bow and arrow set from Presea to defend herself on her way to the fountain of Eterna.  On the way there, she met a young man named Ferio.  She convinced him to be their bodyguard until they reached the Legendary Fountain, and he agreed.  The three progressed on, fighting and defeating Alcione, the first of Zagato’s underlings.  This was where Umi and Fuu both learned their magic.  Afterwards, they traveled into the Legendary Fountain and faced their loved ones.  Fuu faced off against herself and defeated the “evil clone” by using her magic.  When all three enemies were defeated, they found the Legendary Mineral Escude and their armor leveled up.  They then found Presea waiting for them when they went back into the realm of Cephiro.  The Chief Artisan then made each of them a specialized weapon.  They were told the weapons were made especially for them, that these would suit them better than the borrowed ones.  They then journeyed to the three shrines to the spirits, each time meeting a new foe and facing them, not killing them but ‘healing them.’  Fuu faced the Charmer Gardina, who enchanted her friends to attack her.  She talked to Gardina and the Charmer confessed that she was only working for Zagato for the money and told Fuu she was cool.  Fuu had given the Spirit Windam proof of Heart and went into waiting “until she was ready to don him.”  The trio’s armor (and swords) morphed after Fuu’s challenge and Hikaru’s as well.  When Hikaru’s challenge had been met, the Spirits were ready to be donned.  They were donned and the three flew up into the sky by Mokona’s knowledge and faced Zagato.   He had his own mashin, but was defeated when the three combined their powers and attacked with something called “Light Spiral.”  But the journey wasn’t over yet, the three didn’t return home after facing Zagato.  They then listened to the young Emeraude speak of why they had to become Magic Knights and why they had to kill her.  The older Emeraude then took over and fought with her own mashin as the Princess talked and when she was done, the three Spirits combined into one.  They gave Emeraude’s mashin a run-through with their light sword and then, having fulfilled what needed to be done, were sent back to Earth.

History: Aure was born into a house of leisure and was too often spoiled, something her mother wanted to change but let go.  She went to the top-of-the-line private school for the first few years of her schooling but she found all the other kids were snobs and she didn’t like them.  She was then sent to a “lower class” school, still private but more diverse.  She enjoyed it there and flourished, making friends and even a few enemies.  As she grew up, she used her wealth more and more and her interest grew in butterflies and her collection grew from a few monarchs to hundreds upon hundreds, tens of different species.  She even dared for a bit of paraphernalia and her collection in that grew as well.  She never did much physical work in her life, she concentrated on her studies to varying degrees and got good grades often.  She sometimes felt a tinge of envy for the ‘working class’ because they were stronger than she was and must’ve known much more, despite Aure’s interest in literature and other fine arts.  She currently resides in New England, more specifically Upper New York State, USA.

Magic:

Healing Wind --
Visual Description: Winds wrap around the wounded areas and heal the target, quickly making the wounds disappear as the wind rushes over them.  The target also rises and Aure holds one hand under them in case of interruption, one hand over.
Charge Time: Ten seconds, more if soul has been used a lot.
Damage/Effect: Heals the target as much as soul will allow.
Interruption-ability: If distracted away from before spell is finished or if hit while performing.
Dodge-ability: Why would you dodge a healing spell?
Resistances: Why would you resist one?
Cast number: 5

Green Whirlwind (once called Green Tornado) --
Visual Description: Aure holds her hand in something like a palm block (hand vertical, fingers slightly curved) as a small ball of magic appears.  She then tosses it up and it explodes into a giant gust of wind, hitting the target with a great deal of force.
Charge Time: Fifteen seconds.
Damage/Effect: Very powerful, capable of destroying weak enemies entirely and damaging strong ones.
Interruption-ability: With a blow or distraction.
Dodge-ability: Putting up a barrier or hiding behind something.
Resistances: Fire can absorb the attack and become significantly stronger, and strong shields and magical barriers can block it as well.
Cast number: 2

Guardian Wind --
Visual Description: Aure releases magic from her fingertips which then form into a magical shield of wind and magic which protects the target for a short while.
Charge Time: Seven seconds, more if shield being used longer.
Damage/Effect: Forms a shield for the target.
Interruption-ability: If she is hit, distracted or blinded/can’t see the target.
Dodge-ability: Same as Healing Wind.
Resistances: Ditto to that one.
Cast number: 10

Blinding Winds --
Visual Description: Aure holds her sword and then makes a few motions with one hand as she holds the sword in the other.  She kneels and puts her sword vertically, still holding it single-handed.  Winds swirl around her free hand and she looks at the target and the winds swirling around them bind them and blind them.
Charge Time: Twenty seconds.
Damage/Effect: Blinds and binds enemies for a short period of time.
Interruption-ability: If her vision of the target is blocked or interrupted.
Dodge-ability: If you’re quick, you can dodge it.
Resistances: Strong will or an excessive amount of force exerted on the spell.
Cast number: 2

Wind Sword --
Visual Description: Aure holds her sword up above her head with both hands.  She then twirls the hilt and plunges it into the ground.  Holding her hands around the hilt but not touching it, a small ball of magic encases part of the hilt as Aure picks the sword up with one hand and uses it.  The sword’s blade is encased in winds and has the wind’s power.
Charge Time: 30 seconds
Damage/Effect: Varying, depending on what Aure chooses to do with the sword.  Effect is described in the visual.
Interruption-ability: If Aure’s sword hilt is touched, she is physically attacked or she cuts into something made of fire.
Dodge-ability: Depending on Aure’s striking methods, the target may be able to dodge more quickly or slowly.
Resistances: Strong shields (magic or metal), fire.
Cast number: 1

Items: Aure’s sword -- slightly different than Fuu’s sword.  It has the same long, green hilt and gold bird-like image on top, jewel imbedded in the eye area.  Between the hilt and the blade there is a band of gold separating the hilt from the middle.  The middle is made purely out of gold except for a band of green after the gold one.  There is another band of green before the lining of gold around the edge before the blade where a green gem is imbedded into a golden circlet.
When Aure came to Cephiro, she was wearing her school uniform and had several candies in her pockets that she doesn’t want to share with anyone else.

Writing Sample
    ‘This field trip is as boring as the rest of them,’ thought Aure, looking around at the friends that surrounded her.  Her medium green hair swished around as she shook her head from side to side, seeing all that there was to see.  She put down her bookbag she'd brought along for a moment, pausing to make sure her shoes were properly laced up and wouldn’t slip off her feet.
    While she knelt, she felt the floor give way as if it were made of water.  A bright light shone and she fell through the floor quickly as it closed back up.  When she looked up, it was nothing but endless sky.  ‘Sky?’ Aure thought.
    As Aure fell plummeting down, she righted herself to look downwards at where she was going.  ‘Okay, this is not the field trip I had planned.  Where am I and where did everyone else go?’ the thought came and worry crossed her face.  She stared down at the volcano that was on what seemed to be the main island.  ‘I clearly don’t recall any islands in New York, let alone volcanoes.’
     Something caught Aure as she fell along with two others.  It seemed to be a giant flying beast, taking them into a soft landing onto one island.
     “Someone just tell me where the hell we are!” Aure shouted at the other two and to anyone else who happened to be listening.  Her face was contorted with rage, her hair still flowing down from getting off the beast whom stood nearby.

Required Situation:

  Aure stared at the monster for a moment, looking to see what it was.  She had seen it limp towards her, it must’ve been hurt by something.  She had heard its cry of pain.  Clearly now she knew, it must be pain.  She watched as it held back to attack her or not.
    Out from her glove gem came Aure’s sword.  She was so scared now... should she kill it or help it?  In this, the Forest of Silence, she couldn’t heal it with her Healing Wind but she could kill it with the sword she now hefted.
    She breathed a ragged sigh as the sword went back into the glove jewel.  She walked closer to the beast and looked to it, a sad expression on her face.  She looked to the monster’s leg and her sword came out of her glove jewel once more.  “Do you need me to amputate that?” she asked with a gleeful tone, a slight bit of a giggle afterwards.
