Dennis officially joined our family on 27
November 1999. Governmental red-tape interfered so that we were only able to go
to Bulgaria to get him on February 26 though the red tape had not cleared. The
Ministry of Home Affairs here in Namibia, which had to clear Dennis' visa, had
gotten far behind during Christmas break. Though his visa was promised on 9
February, it still had not come out by the next week. We decided that we could
not let Dennis (our son, right?) sit in Bulgaria without us so we launched out,
hoping that the visa would emerge in time for us to leave on schedule. It didn't
arrive on schedule, so we spent three weeks in snowy Bulgaria. We were finally
able to return to Namibia on March 17.

Peaceful
Sleeper

Sofia.
Thanks, Roger, Janice
and Ljubo!
The Bulgarian trip
could have been incredibly difficult. Instead, it was a blessing from God that
we could not have imagined. Roger and Janice Capps, IMB representatives in
Bulgaria, took care of us during our stay and became special members of our
family (or us of theirs). Ljubomir Hristov hosted us in his apartment for two
weeks. What a blessing he was (and is) to our lives.
