Fall Concert 2001
What a wonderful spring concert, and what an exhilerating experience for me! Woah, to be in front of so many of my friends and my family was pressuring. But, everything went well and I'm so glad that we pulled off this really complicated piece, "Kyrie" by Sam Pluta (a fellow barritone). Anyway, it was a wonderful concert and I thank everyone for supporting the SCU Concert Choir. Our Spring Concert 2001 is coming up and if you loved this concert, you will definitely love the next because it's going to be HUGE!!! We're colaborating with other organizations to create a choir of 100+ singers, and same with the orchestra! I'll tell you more as soon as I find out all the information...keep checking my info on my "SirPeter18" AIM account.

Here's Joyce acting all cute just before getting dressed for the concert=) This picture was taken in the Science buildings on campus. We had a major Physics assignment due at 5:00pm...2 hours before we had to report in for the concert. That didn't give me any time to relax in between=/
Here's the SCU Fall Concert Choir 2001. Many people don't know that we have so many talented musicians at SCU. I didn't even know! but we do have a very good music department, but of course SCU isn't known for that. Our main departments are in Business and Engineering.

It's a bit hard to see me in this picture, but I'm in the front row, right smack in the middle=) I'm next to the alto's on the far right.

I usually can't clap and sing at the same time, but this was an exception..hehhehe=P So I'm rythmically(sp) challenged...but I'm getting much better. I guess that's pretty bad considering my dad is a professional drummer (he can play and sing at the same time!!!). I guess I didn't inherit that natural ability and have to work at it=) I love the challenge.

Oh! There I am, all snazzed up for this performance in my tuxedo.

heheheh...it's me smiling. I think this was when Leroy, our choir director, was making faces to break our nervous faces.

Here's most of the male section of the choir. You know, because I am the shortest male in choir I was placed right in front. Darn! I guess I won't be hiding. Eh...oh well, I wasn't afraid to sing out.

We sang many wonderfully dynamic pieces. Challenging, and quite satisfying to sing...as well as appealing to the ear=) But the next concert is going to be a 100 times more spectacular. I hope you don't miss it considering it is on a weekend ;)

Here are the Soprano's located on the far left risers. Hey! the risers are exactly the kind concert choir at Moreau used! Thank goodness I helped put away the risers at Moreau....it was good practice=) I love singing! I wish I knew that earlier in my life...but thank you Little1.

Everyone, meet Bill...Bill meet everyone=P heheheh...Bill had a solo and he sure does have a wonderful voice. Bravo! Bravo! He sang "Sure on this Shinging Night" at the concert.

Woah! it's kind of freaky to have a blured figure right in front! It's a ghostly effect (no thanks to the camera). She danced to "Bill's" song "Sure on this Shining Night". It just made the song that much more beautiful and meaningful=)

This is Leroy, our director and conductor. He's such an awesome person. We all love yah!

Awww...here's a my rara for the concert. Well, the one's from Santa Clara. It sure feels wonderful to have their support. (from left to right) Uyen, LeHang, Grace, Me, and Kathy...AND I GOT FLOWERS!!! That was great. Thank You Kathy=)

Another picture taken after the performance.

Wow! I was so totally wired after the performance. Like I said, it was extremely exhilerating...more so because it was my first one in a long time. The first one was when I was in 7th grade I believe. Hahaha, funny I've been a baritone since 8th grade...actually my voice has gotten higher and lower at the same time...hahaha, who would have thought that was possible for me to have a pretty good range=)

It's my Mom and that's Uyen's back. I wonder what they were talking about. I hope nothing embarassing. And That's LeHang smiling for the camera, and for once I didn't take the picture.

It was so great to see Marlene, Deepa, and Jay! Thank you so much for coming....unfortunately, Deepa and Marlene avoided the camera. This is Joy to the right of me. She's one of my good friends here at scu, and the camera woman at the concert.
