Here I am in the infamous Silicon Valley, the heart of where computer industries in the US flourish. Yep, I am right smack in the middle of where most of the Technology of today is created. I couldn't have chosen a better place to attend college considering I am a Computer Engineering Major. Anyway, I had to put up some more pictures. Besides, I still have a lot of memory to fill up on this site so why not add to the 140+ pics already on this site alone!!! Crazy? Why yes i am, thank you very much=) Here's a look at SCU and a few of the friends I have met here. Keep checking on this page for photo updates...
Here's just another picture of Santa Clara University. Actually this the Mission Gardens. It's a wonderful place to have a picnic, or just sit down and relax. It is so beautiful especially when the flowers in bloom. Of course, it is still so beautiful in the Winter time. I wish you all could see it=) This is usually the place I walk to (even at night) to relax and reflect.
Here's my Swig 2 roomates. This isn't the whole floor, unfortunately, but this is the majority of whom I spend the wonderful days of college with. One person who isn't in the picture is my roomate=) He was STILL sleeping at 11am. So can you find Peter? Well, if you find me, the guy next to me is my RA, George, and he's also Guamanian!!! What a small world.
So what do you think of my room? This is before it was decorated, so excuse how blah it may look at the moment. It's cozy, and my home away from home=) Hmmmm...let me list some of stuff I brought...a boom box, laptop, printer, microphone, digital camera, pictures of y'all, phone + cell phone(still the same #...call me;), my dragons!!! TV, VCR, Playstation, video (including Senior Documentary), my infamously huge backpack, feather bed, refrigerator, microwave...oh you can see all the fun goodies and food I've packed under my bed...hehhehe
Everyone, meet Tim and Harry. Two new friends I've made here and both Computer Engineers. We are the future Bill Gates =P
This is wonderful LeHang;) Another Computer Engineer Friend who amazes me at how fast she has picked up Java!
I Love Swig (the party dorm) for this one reason. Most of the Engineers are located here. Eleven stories of really really smart peopple. Unfortunately, we've already come across a Computer Program that no one in the building could figure out...later we realized we had made a stupid mistake! Oh well, c'est la vie...
Woah, so far I've introduced all Computer Engineering Friends...Guess what...This is Yashmine who is....Yup! another Computer Engineer=)
This is my goodfriend Celina I met during SCU orientation.
This is Harry and Margaret. This was one of our little outing, and we were planning to go clubbing, but one thing led to the next(I won't get into the details) and we ended up playing pool instead. It was only a little before 12, but Margaret felt like sleeping=)
Alright, so I got a little bored and curious at the same time=) I was just standing in the hallway one day, and had an epiphany! "I wonder if I can do the splits on the wall?" I said to myself. As you can see, I can...and yes, it kind of hurts (ouch). But you've got to admit, it's pretty cool...heheheh =D
Alright, this is another group of friends I hang out with often. In the far left hand in the very back is Sarah, Then there's Roy, and then Nicole, and then Rachel...and that's Lorraine who's back you see;) This is in San Jose and we WERE planning to go ice skating, but unfortunately the place was full. So here we are looking at everyone skating:(
Here we are in San Francisco for Jason's B-day. It was obviously raining and so here is Sarah with her pink umbrella trying to stay warm.
So here's my date for Friday December 11th, 2000 festivities!!! yupyup! I went to another boatdance and for those of you who went to Moreau. It was the same boat!!! But it was so much more fun than Highschool dances. Anyway, this is Rachel posing for the camera on Swig 2.
Everyone meet Jason! He's my future roomate and has to be one of the greatest guys I have ever met. You meet guys like him once in a blue moon. Don't you just love his leather pants?
Here's the cool group I went with to the boatdance. This was taken in Swig 2 hallway just before we left. (from left to right) Rachel, Me, Nicole, Jason, and Jaime.
Here's the couple picture of Rachel and I=) Wow!!! She sure can dance! One of her dreams is to go to one of those MTV dance parties. I wouldn't be surprised if that dream came true=)
Awwwww...it's Jason and Roy. They're are wonderful people to hang out with and they sure livend up the boatdance with their free spirits! =)
Ok, this is pretty scandelous dancing for Rachel and Roy...No worries parents viewing this page. We are just good friends having a blast and goofing around=)
Here's Jason and Jaime on the second floor deck of the yacht.
Here's the whole group now right on the dock. It really was the same boat docked in the same exact place as was the ship at Moreau. Isn't that freakish? I was so shocked, but it helped me to plan out the itinerary for the night and become the lead driver. I tell you, though, there were too many ghosts of the past on the ship...fortunately the three levels of music (1st floor-hip/hop rap...2nd-dance music...3rd-moonlighting and swing music) distracted me from journeying back in time. The only thing that I didn't like about this dance was the fact that it lasted until 2 am and I had to drive all the way back to Santa Clara. I was sooooooooooooo tired =/
Here's the wonderful Church choir at Santa Clara University. Actually, we're all dressed up to go around SCU and the local community to do some caroling. Our choir director is the Greg, who is on the far left hand side with the Santa hat. He's a wonderfully radiating director...ummm...that's the best way I can describe how cool he is=)
He's some more Swigians. Straight from Panama is Adriana(left), from Hawaii is Lindsey(center), and from Danville, CA is Nate(right).
Here's Joy taking out her bags while skating=)
Caught off guard while talking on the phone is Michaela.
This is the infamous Swig elevators, which if you look closely, you can see the graffiti that has cost us every now and then access to our elevators =/ Of course, it doesn't really concern Swig 2, but still!!! It's really stupid! (top row from left to right) Mark, Lyndsey, Steve, and Heidi. (bottom from left to right) Abid and Lindsey.
Ok, for Santa Clara's 150th Anniversary, we ordered a 19 table long cake! I'm not sure how long that is but I would say approximately 150 feet long!!! Yowsers!!!
I'm assuming they put it all together on the spot considering I don't think there's a truck that could transport this cake to the spot. As you can see, the icing is just being put on in this picture.
Here's an airial view of how crazy this cake is=P
Here's yet another picture of the spectacular production of this cake.
It's time to eat this crazy, yet amazing work of art.
As you can tell, it was a pretty good turn-out, but I didn't try the cake. After all, I saw how long this cake was baking in the sun! I lost my appetite =/
This is Maribell and Jeff goofing off in the Swig 2 Hallway=P
So where am I if you can't find me in my room at night? Well, you can check Lehang's room to see if I'm in there=) She's one of many Swigians I visit.
For taking that beautiful shot of LeHang reading her phonebill, I reluctantly agreed to take a photo of me=) And yes, that's me on the other side of Lehang's room, and that's Nova's (Her roomate) bed behind me.
This is Jason again. My future roomate. He's all dressed up to compete. Actually, this was after. He's on the crew team, and doesn't he look good in his spandex =)
Here's Jason's group of friends, all together in Alemeda (Oakland) to cheer him on! (fron left to right) Daryl, Helena, Vahn, Jason, Rachel, Me, and Sarah (excuse me if I spelled your name wrong =/)
Here's jason again and the boat
Here he is again just before the race. Oh yah! I should mention we raced against UC Berkeley! Woohoo! Santa Clara Won! Sorry Berkeley...but great race!
