Speech Contests.
1. Namadgi Club Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contest Results:
The contests were held on Tuesday July 15 at the Lanyon Rugby Union Club at 7.00 pm.  The results are as follows:
Humorous Speech: First Place - Michael Kennedy, Second Place - Hema Arachi
Table Topics: First Place Christopher Rumley, Second Place - Kit Warusevitane

Area 26 Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests.
These contests were held on Saturday August 16 at the Palerang Council Chambers Hall, Majara Street, Bungendore, NSW.  38 people were in attendance.  Our contestants performed admirable but did not place.  The winner of the Humorous Speech contest was Scott Monson from Tuggeranong Club and the winner of the Table Topics contest was Dan Holliday from Queanbeyan Club.

Monaro Division Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests.
These will be held on Sunday September 21.  The host club will be Immigration Toastmasters Club.  The start time is 1.15 pm and the venue is the Majura Community Centre in Dickson, ACT.  The winners from all the Area Contests in Monaro Division (Canberra and South Western New South Wales) will compete at the Division Contests.

Namadgi Club Member gets a Major District 70 Award!
At the District 70 Changeover Dinner held at Bankstown Sports Club on Saturday June 28, our own Kaylene Ledgar DTM was awarded the District 70 Division Governor of the Year for 2007-2008!

First Distinguished Toastmaster Award for Namadgi Club!
At the Gala Dinner of the District 70 (NSW and ACT) Annual Conference at Penrith Panthers World of Entertainment on Saturday April 12, Vice President Membership Cheryl White was recognised for her second Distinguished Toastmaster award.  This award is the first Distinguished Toastmaster award to be credited to our club.
