Over the past ten years Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard have produced a bewildering array of musical styles, ranging from Ambient thru to hard core electro body-popping sounds, dark jungle fusion and the more melodious sound of Drum N Bass, as favoured by producer LTJ Bukem. They have also remixed a variety of artists work from Depeche Mode, Lamb, thru to All Saints and Pulp. Although extremely varied, the finished product is always instantly recognisable, due to its impeccable timing, arrangement, and the unique "feel" the finished track exudes. They have released on album of original material, namely 1994s, 76'14", which suprisingly, lasts 76 minutes and 14 seconds! They have also released two remix collections, the first called 'Remotion', which is a collection of different remixes, of tracks by The Grid, Nav Katze, and Chapterhouse, to name a few, and the second, 'Pentamerous Metamorphosis', which a collection of remixes of work by Chapterhouse. Other releases include 'Tom Middleton-A Jedi's Night Out', a dance remix compilation superbly mixed by one half of the duo, a seamless mix of what can only be described as tunes perfectly chosen and mixed, it also includes a couple of tracks by the pair themselves, 'The Way (Secret Ingredients Mix)', and 'Aural Sedative', which if you were to describe it as mellow, would be a HUGE understatement....it is extremely low-key, and the whole collection is well worth adding to yours! Other highlights include tracks on various other compilation albums, such as the superb 9'25" on "Apollo 2 - The Divine Compilation" on RS Records, "Avatar" on "Trance Europe Express 2", and "Links", and "Close Your Eyes" on LTJ Bukems "Logical Progression" 1 and 2. Various remix work has followed, such as All Saints' "Pure Shores", Pulps' "Party Hard", Lambs' "Gorecki" and "B-Line" (an instrumental edit of the Gorecki track), and not to forget their astounding reworking of South American jazz legends Azymuth, who's track "Jazz Carnival Part 1" became another Global Remix masterpiece! Finally on a more recent note, after being threatened with legal action by George Lucas over the use of the 'Jedi Knights' name, the Jedis (as they are now known…although still not popular with Mr Lucas!) have released a collection of remixed Jedi tracks on "The Jedi Selector" album, now available on SMUGG Records (G-GUMSCD004) mixed together by none other than Tom Middleton himself! Nuff' said! Other recent remix work includes Schillers' "Ruhe", and Ian Pooleys' "900 Degrees Part 2", both given the treatment by Mr Middleton, and both are certainly well worth seeking out!
