Her first instrument was Khlui Phiang O. Later she practiced a Thai
string instrument, So Duang,
and So u at Sathit School, Srinakarinvirot
Campus, Pathumwan by being training by Acharn Sauwanee
Suetrong. Then she learned So Sam Sai with
Tuean Pharttayakul until Matthayom4 when she wished to play
guitar, Her brother recommended that she
learned classical guitar at Chintakarn Music Institute where
the
teacher was Panya Rukkhasirichai. At that time
she was not interested in classical guitar. Later she moved to
Acharn Somchai Khanom for about 2-3 months and
moved to Manrat Sangsawangwattana for 1 year.
Then she
seriously studied classical guitar with Tawee Maneecharuthat at Siam
Yamaha Music School,
Pathumwan. In 1989, she entered the Faculty of
Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, At her year 3 there, she
re-entered the Western Music and Communications
Art Department, Faculty of Humanities, Kasetsart University
in 1992 and studied classical guitar with
Vidhaya Vosbein and Kamol Achariyasart. In 1996 she graduated with
first class honors in 1996. She also received
Performer's Certificate (Guitar) and Licentiate Diploma (Guitar
Performance) from Trinity College (London) in
1994 and 1995 respectively.
Nalin took part
in founding Bangkok Guitar Society in 1993 and continues the guitar
activities in Thailand.
She also is one of the performers of Guitar Lai
Thai I,II (CD and Cassette in Thai Traditional Music Arranged
for Guitar). In 2001 she played at the Thailand
International Guitar Festival 2001. Further more she played
Vivaldi' Concerto in D with Salaya Chamber
Orchestra and played Thailand's premier of 'Bhudhachat' for flute,
guitar and cello, composed by Dr.Narongrit
Dhammabutra.
At present, she
is a part time teacher at College of Music, Mahidol University and also
she is a staff of
Bangkok Guitar Society.
