OBSCURE & JOKE CHARACTERS

 

The Shredder

Made in iHEL because there was a large iAPWF population in that fed at the time. There was a way to cheat Cyberslam’s “randomization” of what indy fed you ended up in so a bunch of us made a home there. Back in the iAPWF there was an RP event on Midway Island and the Shredder, bane of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, popped up in it. I re-used the jokes here. At the time I was writing my BRB for Nakedman and knew that I would be leaving for Texas in a week and wouldn’t have an internet connection. So his lifespan was intentionally very short. It was the first ever character I intended to never last. This run had nothing to do with the Shredder that popped up for the Evil Empire plotline later.

 

Rob Pugh

When I went into Wrassle I wanted to break with my CSlam past and start with new characters. But someone, and I’m still pretty sure that it was Whitelight, made a fake Nakedman. So I then made this fake Whitelight character to dish it back. I can’t even remember what fed it was in, and I couldn’t have done more than 2 posts or something.

 

Jayson Williams

Jayson Williams’s gimmick was that he was a retired basketball player who drinks alcohol, plays with shotguns, accidentally kills people, and then runs away or tries to cover it up. Who knows where the idea for such a zany and original storyline came from?

 

Skeletor

When the Evil Empire re-united for another run at breaking policies and killing people (something that I had missed the first time) I took on the responsibility of Skeletor since the original  (Homeless J) was gone.

 

Dixie

Dixie was just Jailbait pretending to be a lesbian to mock horny masturbating men who pretend to be lesbians on the internet and to test the waters at Ring Wars. The dumbasses there didn’t get the joke and RPed with her like she was being serious. Which is why RW sucks.

 

Onslaught

Onslaught was an attempt I made to prove that I could create a serious character from scratch, not tell anyone it was me, and still get over. Thus I would prove wrong criticism of only being able to be a comedy guy, and only getting over based on my name and past success. The fact that I abandoned Onslaught, whose gimmick was that he was a hitman for hire, in about a week and a half – proved that everyone else was right, and I was wrong.

 

Redskins O Line

In this gimmick I played Chris Samuels, David Dockery, Larry Moore, Randy Thomas, and Jon Jansen. Yes, all of them… the 2003 Washington Redskins Offensive Line.  Usually they all spoke together as one, like a Greek chorus. What they did was constantly allow Patrick Ramsey to get killed by various things. It was fun for the week and a half it lasted!

 

Cave Man

Oog the Cave Man was created because Aujam and Holy made the “Man Stable,” a group of assholes that all had “Man” in their name and pissed people off while acting like untalented regional garbage (the heir apparent to “Ashamed of My Son”). I wanted someone to join but had no ideas, so I settled on a Cave Man. We got into a load of trouble just as we intended and laughed our asses off. My favorite part is still when at the very end we pretended to be nice guys and befriend everyone… Cave Man became “Care Man” who cared about people. It was great. Cave Man may actually be important enough to have a more detailed bio made and added to my list of “real” characters instead of these joke misfit characters who don’t really count considering that his gimmick ran longer than Toaster’s ever did, and I count Toaster as a “real character.” However, I won’t do that… because the difference is that Toaster was waaaaay over, and Cave Man was intended to not last.

 

Streakender

Pretty self explanatory. I ran this character soon after Streakender disappeared from the community, after myself, Aujam and Holy had pissed him off too much. He essentially ran away scared like a bitch in every post.

 

Dr. JBortion

This was a joke character that was a combination of Dr. Abortion and Jailbait, dating to my 5th Anniversary plotline. Only created because Super Dave showed up in AWA and I wanted to RP with him. As he faded to inactivity, Benny Blair arrived and I continued on for a bit more. But after Benny went inactive, so did Dr. JB. I do not count this character’s existence as canon with the Dr. A character, and it should just be assumed to be Jailbait pretending to be merged with Dr. A rather than actually a gestalt.

 

Old Lace

I was contemplating bringing Arsenic back for some time, when someone made another character named Arsenic. I created Old Lace to run him off, and I quickly did. But this Old Lace had a radically different personality than the original Old Lace valet Dr. A had, and was supposed to be a different woman. She eventually became known as Old Lace 2.0, and was revealed to be Arsenic’s daughter.

 

The Rock

The Rock came from the fact that I was really getting back into Wrassle again and decided I had enough interest to run a second character. The Rock is a rock. Like a literal stone. He was soon joined by NPC “Stone Cold” (another actual stone), and “The Game,” which was a game of Monopoly. There was also a sub-plot that The Rock was possessed by Satan. This made it slightly different than Toaster, as it was more than an inanimate object – but an EVIL inanimate object, spit from a fiery volcano out of hell. It petered out pretty quickly.
