One of the keys to alleviating poverty in the Eastlands is accessible and affordable basic primary health care for all individuals.

NESC will provide a tremendous service for our community in providing basic health care. Consider the following statistics. There is opportunity to make a large impact through simple health care.

If you are born in Kenya:
right arrow You can reasonably expect to live to 51 years old
right arrow If you live in Nairobi, there is a 9% chance that you won't live past the age of 5. If you are in the lowest wealth quintile there is a 15% chance.
right arrow If you are 5 years old or younger and have acute repiratory infection and fever you have a 45% chance of visiting a health facility
right arrow If you or your child need to visit a physician be prepared to wait. There are only 4,500 physicians for 34,000,000 people.
right arrow There are 37,000 nurses so you may opt to see one of them instead to reduce your wait
