Post Match Reaction: Another Three Points For Nairn
Two goals from Shaun Kerr shortly after half time ensured that Nairn County picked up another three points with their second 2-0 victory on the trot.
County failed the break down the hosts' resistence in the first half but the home side had no reply once hotshot Kerr's quick fire double had put Nairn two goals to the good. The win comes on the back of the success over Forres at Station Park last week and sets Les Fridge's men up nicely for their Scottish Cup match at Buckie Thistle next Saturday.
Manager Les Fridge said after the match: "It was always going to be a competitive match and we have come across a lot of games like this already this season.
"It was a case of working hard and trying to grind out a result and I thought the first half was very even. The Lossie goalkeeper had a great save from Steven Edwards and John Campbell had a great save for us at the other end."
He added: "We got the goal early on in the second half and I thought that settled us down and led to us controlling more of the game. We went on to create a lot of chances, especially late on when they were chasing the game.
"In the last ten minutes we had two or three great chances to really kill the game off but it never happened. At the end of the day though, it was another three points and a clean sheet at a hard place to come."
The win lifted Nairn up to third place in the current Highland League table, three points behind leaders Buckie Thistle.
Fridge said: "We can only take the games as they come. Out of eight league games so far, we have won five, drawn one and been beaten
Steven Edwards: Came close to scoring on a couple of occasions
in two of them and the defeats were at Inverurie away and Keith away. At the moment, we're doing OK but the games are difficult and I have always said that there are no easy games in this league so we have to just keep battling away."
