Transfer News: Nairn Secure Jarvie and Skinner Deals
Nairn County have brought their summer additions up to eight with the captures of defensive players Darren Jarvie and Stephen Skinner.
Both played the full 90 minutes in last night's North of Scotland Cup victory over Forres Mechanics at Station Park while Jarvie also featured in the pre-season friendly win at Strathspey Thistle on Saturday on top of that. Centre half Skinner has joined on loan from parent club Ross County while 19-year-old Jarvie has penned a two-year permanent contract.
Jarvie played three games with Clachnacuddin last season before moving on to Edinburgh University where he starred in their Scottish Cup run, which included a convincing victory over Highland League champions Keith. Fridge said: "Darren was full time at Inverness CT and played regularly in the reserves and under-19's. He's at university but he's going to be home most weekends and he is up here just now and we are delighted to have him on board."
Six foot defender Skinner, who is also 19-years-old, has previous Highland League experience after making 11 appearances during a loan spell with Forres Mechanics.
