9/7/07 Transfer News: County Complete Quadruple Swoop Nairn County have bolstered their ranks with the arrival of four new faces in time for tomorrow night's friendly clash with Livingston. Sean Kerr, Angus Lawrie, Scott Graham and John Calder have all been added to the squad by County boss Les Fridge. Former Clach striker Kerr arrives at Station Park on a three-year deal. The 21-year-old starred for North Caledonian League outfit Golspie Sutherland during the latter part of last season finishing top of the club's scoring charts as they claimed the league title. He also made four appearances in the Highland League for Clach earlier last season. Fridge said: "Sean Kerr is a player who definitely knows where the goal is. He has been training with us recently and has looked very sharp and is itching to get going. We have lost Darren Shallicker to Elgin but we have countered this by bringing Sean on board." Kerr began his career as a full time player in the youth set up at Ross County. He then moved to Clach, initially on loan before making the switch permamant last summer.

Fridge said: "He was with Clach last season but missed a lot of games due to work commitments which eventually forced him to move on. But his work situation has changed now and that has made him available to commit to playing in the Highland League again and we're delighted he has chosen to come to us." Midfielder Angus Lawrie is set to sign a two-year contract in time to be available for tomorrow's match. The diminutive 24-year-old arrives at Station Park having previously played in the Highland League with Fort William. Fridge said: "He has been training with us since the start of pre-season and has agreed to sign so we are very happy about that. He has been a regular in the Highland League over the past few years with Fort William and the fact that we already have John Campbell travelling up from Fort is very helpful as the two of them can arrange to travel up the road together."

The addition of Scott Graham to the squad represents somewhat of a coup for the club as the attacking midfielder was also being tracked by both Clachnacuddin and Buckie Thistle. The 21-year-old also arrives from Fort William and will ink a two-year deal with the club in time to play against Livingston. Fridge said: "Scott Graham comes from Skye but he works in Inverness so is used to travelling back and fore. He played a few games for Fort William last season and had attracked interest from several Highland League clubs so we are delighted that he has agreed to come and join us. He can also play up front so that gives us more options in that department." The final addition to the squad is one player that Fridge knows all about already. 19-year-old goalkeeper John Calder was on the books of Inverness CT - where Fridge was previously a goalkeeper coach - until the summer when he was released following the end of his stint in under-19 football. County have now moved fast to snap him up on a one-year deal. "The manager said: "John was previously on a full-time contract at Inverness CT and is a player I knew about already. It means we will have three goalkeepers at the club along with John Campbell and Callum Donaldson.

"We are aiming to build a squad here because it became evident that we needed more depth at times last season when we were hit with several injuries and suspensions and had to call on some of the under-19s." The manager was looking forward to tomorrow night's clash with First Division side Livingston. The match takes place at Station Park and kicks off at 7.45 pm. Fridge said: "I'm definitely looking forward to getting going again. We could have played an amateur or a welfare team in our first game but I think we will get more out of playing against a team of Livingston's calibre. |

"It will be along similar lines ot our first friendly last year when we played Ross County and we will have to be switched on form the off." The manager is expected to be without his first summer signing though, as Chris Finnigan is working away through this week. He added: "I'm not too worried about the result - the aim is to get things right in time for the start of the season."
