The most important fair is held in the month of feb-march called the 84 kos (chaurasi kos) Parikrama.It starts from Pratipada of Phalgun and ends on the day of the festival Holi.There is a very big fair at a place called Mishrikh 11 kms from Naimisaranyam.There are halts at 11 places,and the parikrama starts from Naimisaranyam and ends in the place called Mishrikh.Essentially 2 rounds of the entire Khetra is performed

In Naimisaranya the five pandavas performed Tapasya for 12 years in order to take bath on Amavasya day but unfortunately Amavasya did not occur during the 12 years then they got annoyed and wished that in Kaliyug Amavasya should fall every year and all sorts of people would be benifitted by taking bath on Amavasya day.So on amavasya day many devotess come to chatra theerth for taking bath.Apart from this Ekadesi is very important every month in this place.
