It is Thursday and the phone is silent.

Yamino brings somen in crystal bowls to the study, leaves with some coffee cups and curtains draped over his arm.

He feeds Ecchan a few strands and lets it lick the sauce off his fingers. It mewls in content, snuggling against his palm like a happy cat.

Beyond the rooftops and city smoke and barren trees the sky begins to pall with nightfall; he watches it through half-lidded eyes, strangely content.
