This is an unconfirmed rumor at this point, but there isn't much else out there to go on right now and that's the concensus. More will likely be learned after the SmackDown! tapings tonight from N. To the absolute surprise of nobody, except perhaps a few clueless residents of Not-So-Beautiful Upper Dudleyville, HHH made a triumphant return to The WWF and won the Rumble, thereby guaranteeing him a spot in the Main Event at Wrestlemania X8 (WM) for the Undisputed Championship of the Solar System. Those of you that follow The WWF know that "Guarantee" is The Emperor's favorite word. Who knows, we may see several matches with that spot on the line. We may also see The Title change hands before WM. Does HHH v. Chris Jericho really sound like a WM quality Main Event? Does it make you want to run out and buy an airline ticket to go see it? Does it even make you want to plunk down the $34.95 (or whatever The Emperor wants to change this time)? Methinks not. As that beloved old English sleuth would say, "Dr. Watson, the game is afoot." Taking a look back at The Royal Rumble, here are a few of my thoughts that I know you have been checking your E-mail hourly looking for: Taz(z) and Little Spike Dudley (LSD) retained the Tag Team Championship by defeating The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray and DeVon, in a match involving four of great-great grandpa Ebeneezer Dudley's offspring. You may not have known it but before Ebeneezer founded Dudleyville, he spent some time in Red Hook, Brooklyn. If you have read my history of The Dudley's, you may recall that Ebeneezer was quite prolific. Truth be known, he more properly could be called "The Father Of The Country," rather than George Washington. I digress; therefore Taz(z) is a distant cousin to the Dudley's, making the match a family affair. Bubba Ray and DeVon are arguably (and it's a small argument) the greatest Tag Team of all time. How they could lose to Taz(z) and LSD boggles the mind. How they could do it twice (at least on TV) in a row completely defies rationale. Grandpa Dudley has threatened to kick them out of the family if they don't win the Title back real soon. He has nothing against LSD, but hasn't spoken to the Red Hook branch of the family since the incident at the 1932 Thanksgiving Day Dinner. In yet another travesty of justice, that fountain of English chivalry, William Regal, again beat Edge, thereby retaining the Intercontinental Title he stole recently. Once more it was a result of the brass knuckles he sneaked into the ring. They could put this piece of rotting Fish And Chips thru a metal detector and he would still find a way to get the knucks in. He has them in his tights, under the ring, under the ring steps, held by a dozen drunken bar flies from Blackpool at ringside, in the ring lights, etc., etc. Aided by the blindest refs in The WWF, he manages to use them, but should his opponent (in this case Edge) get their hands on them, the refs put Eagles to shame spotting them. I see a short (the shorter the better) Title reign for Sir Willie. Sir Willie holding the Title proves that it pays to kiss the bosses ass. The Women's Championship was a classic Beauty and The Beast Match. Trish retained her Title by beating Jazz. I wouldn't call Jazz ugly, but if my dog looked like her, I'd shave its ass and make it walk backwards. Trish took a beating from Jazz, who has more muscles in her stools than most of the men have in their entire bodies, before giving her some Stratusfaction. With Terrific Trish, The She Devil With The 36 DDD's, Lovely Lita, Torrie, Legs, Jackie, Debra and even Ivory on the roster, it's hard to imagine The Beast coming to the ring as Champion. Next up was Emperor v. Icon, McMahon v. Mr. Woooooo, Co-Owner v. Co- Owner (Believe that and I have some very moist you in Upper Dudleyville.) McMahon kicks the living craopla out of Slick Ric the first half of the match, with The Slick One pulling his "Bleeding Like A Stuck Pig Routine." The Red Cross reports that if a human being lost half the blood Slickie does during a match, he would be a candidate for pushing up daisies. Two of Slickie's kids are at ringside taking pictures, so The Evil One rips the camera from their hands and takes a picture of Slickie bleeding to death. We are all shocked as the tide changes and The Emperor's turn as a blood recipient comes. He bleeds at least as much as Slickie did and not to be outdone, gets his picture taken by the fruit of Slickie's loins. The Evil One goes down to ignominious defeat to the delight of the crowd and the aforementioned fruit. Somewhere in the distant a voice is heard saying, "Can't we all just get along." Not in the WWF. To follow up on this match the next night on RAW, Slickie is crowing about his victory when The Evil One joins him and we find out that it isn't over yet. Boy, I never saw that one coming. Do you suppose the threat he made portends the "rumored" split of The WWF? We have Mr. ImPerect and Terri's ex, Goldie staying because of reaction they got at The Rumble; The "New and Improved" Godfather is back running a legitimate Escort Service, along with our favorite porn star. This puts some additional talent on the line for "The Draft." Speaking of The Godfather, he brought twelve (count 'em 12) Ho's, .... I mean Escorts with him to The Rumble. What a guy! The King was in Puppy Heaven. Too bad he only had four at RAW, but then again they were a very talented group. The Undisputed Championship Match was won by Y2J, defeating The Rock again. This after The Rock had the match won, but for our ever vigilant referee. Jericho also had help from fellow Canadians Christian and Mr. Charisma, Lance Storm. It would appear that The Rock has more scenes to reshoot in his latest Hollywood flick, so wont be around to defend the Title. This could be the reason Jericho will keep it a while longer. Then again, there is still eight weeks to WM and a lot can happen. Jericho v. HHH, nah. The Rumble itself was quite entertaining. The Ass That Swallowed Japan got a Stinkface in, Scottie "Wormed" it, and Mr. Sucka bored us with a Stinkaroonie. Kane, the man most deserving to be Championship, did the impossible: He singled handedly lifted The Big Slow up and threw him over the top rope. The last one to do that was a building crane. The Taker cleaned house and kept his yard clean, that is until Tough Enough winner Maven drop kicked him over the top rope as he was looking down at the carnage he created. Not exactly the smartest move ever made and Maven paid for it. The Taker tore Maven three or four more new assholes. He kicked his ass all over the arena, finally making him a permanent part of a popcorn machine. If and when Maven recovers, he has a uniform and hat waiting for him at his next job, providing he is able to say "Want fries with that?" The final four were Dr. What, Mr. ImPerfect, Our Olympic Zero and HHH. Zero eliminated Dr. What. Not the happiest beer guzzler in Texas, Dr. What returned to the ring and nailed the remaining three with chair shots. When the cow webs cleared, HHH got rid of Mr. ImPerfect, leaving only himself and Zero. HHH went over the top rope and Zero thought he won. Flashback to HBK going over, but only one foot touching the floor. Zero begins celebration, only to be given a reality check by HHH. Good-bye Zero, hello HHH as 2002 Rumble Winner. We flash ahead to RAW and HHH is in his dressing room with Mrs. HHH, Sweet Stephanie. Sweetness asks HHH why he hasn't acknowledged that she is the driving force behind his comeback. HHH does so; tells her to "Shut the F up." There appears to be trouble in paradise. Can the next step for Mr. and Mrs. HHH be on TV starring on Divorce Court? HHH wins the Rumble and gets rid of 125 (pure guess) pounds (including plastic enhancements) of spoiled, whining brat all in the same year. Life is good for HHH. ===================================================================== Remember...========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
