One would think that Jericho's title is safe due to the Rocky's erratic schedule. Then again, the erratic way they've booked Jericho so far it wouldn't surprise me to see a switch. Source// dave scherer of 1wrestling ===================================================================== RATINGS//============================================================ --WWF RAW last night scored a disappointing 4.4 rating, coming off hours of 4.4 and 4.5. Down from last week's 4.9 number. This has to be looked upon as a terrible number for the WWF as there was no football on ABC to take away ratings. Traditionally, ratings have always gone up at least by half a million people the week after football ends on Monday's. Instead, it decreased by that many. Also, as a fallout of HHH's return last week, one would think that most fans would return to hear what he really had to say on the show as last week, there wasn't much said at all. That, perhaps was their downfall for this week. *WWF Sunday Night Heat scored a 1.3 rating *WWF Excess did a low 0.7 rating. Both shows featured Spike Dudley ===================================================================== News from the WWF -- WWF.com//======================================= --Slam! Wrestling reports that once Lita is brought back, she will valet for Rob Vam Dam. --Slam! also reports that Goldberg could be the next one brought in to help the "WWF split ". --When Raw went off the air Monday, Undertaker simply went up the ramp and left HHH and Stone Cold laying. Booker T and Kurt Angle then rushed to the ring and took full advantage. However, they were met with a stunner and pedigree after a little while. H and Austin then stayed in teh ring and entertained the fans. H apparently made fun of the "what" catch-phrase. --The WWF has a graphic and mini-preview for SmackDown! tomorrow up at their website promoting HHH's first match on TV since his return. A full preview will follow late today or tomorrow. --Bossman and DDP are the latest entries in the Royal Rumble. There are only four more to go. --Thursday is said to be the day when Booker T will appear on the Howard Stern radio show. --Interview with Jerry Lawler Never fear, ladies: as soon his divorce is finalized, Jerry "The King" Lawler will become one of Memphis' most eligible bachelors. (AP) -- A confidential pre-sentencing report was placed in an open court file in the case of a teen-ager who was convicted of killing a 6-year-old girl in what he said was an attempt to imitate pro wrestlers. Attorneys for convicted killer Lionel Tate filed papers Monday giving notice that they plan to sue the Broward County clerk of courts over the document, which was obtained by the World Wrestling Federation. The WWF included information from the document in a defamation lawsuit against Tate's trial attorney, Jim Lewis. Tate's appellate attorney Richard Rosenbaum told Broward Clerk Howard Forman that the disclosure could affect Tate's chances of having his conviction overturned or gaining clemency from Gov. Jeb Bush. The notice of intent to sue seeks $1 million in damages, saying the "disclosure of unsubstantiated facts has caused irreparable harm to this child." Tate, 14, is serving a life sentence for the first-degree murder of Tiffany Eunick in July 1999, when he was 12. He is appealing his conviction. The governor rejected his request for clemency last year. In the document, reported by The Miami Herald in Tuesday's editions, the teen talks directly with state Juvenile Justice authorities. Tate did not testify during his trial. "I didn't mean to hurt Tiffany, and I feel real sad and sorry for her and (her mother) ...," the report quoted him as saying. "If I could repeat that day, I wouldn't play wrestle with Tiffany." It also said Tate's father, John Tate, "described Lionel as immature and a liar." Florida statutes bar any pre-sentencing investigations from becoming public. The reports are supposed to be disclosed only to the judge and attorneys in the case. Clerks removed the Tate report from the court file Monday afternoon, after Rosenbaum told them of it. Forman said his staff is investigating, adding that longtime employees "don't remember this happening before." World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Inc. sued Lewis in 2000, accusing the attorney and others of making false statements about WWF in interviews and blaming Tiffany's death on Tate's mimicking of pro wrestlers. Lewis' attorney Robert Buschel said Lewis "was just defending his client and acting in Tate's best interest." Tate initially told police he and Tiffany had been playing and he picked her up and accidentally hit her head against a table. But prosecutors said the girl's injuries were at odds with Tate's account. They also said that the boy never said he was imitating wrestlers until a month after the girl's death. Apparently not everyone likes "What?", and wish that it would go away. I say Amen to that. It is funny in very small doses, but it seems that the WWF fans are now major marks for it, so it's going nowhere. At least not in the immediate future. As for the news of Monday, I am holding my tounge until it actually happens. I'm not going to fly off the handle for once (Shut up!) Memo to Kurt Angle: If you want to outwit the "genius" fans that yell "What?", respond with this: "A Sphincter says 'What?'" Interesting spew job by Booker Q on Smackdown. Too bad Cole couldn't have puked on the King, and we could have had one big barf-o-rama like in Stand by Me. I'd also like to set Mr. Regal straight. He's always been a favorite heel of mine because of his innate ability to just piss me off. But I need to clarify something for you "Sunshine". You say the English are the most barbaric, vicious people of all. Is that why we bitch- slapped you 225 years ago? and don't forget who bailed you out in WWII as well. Just make sure you have your facts straight next time, okay? Monday's Raw was the first chance I got to see Jazz, and I must say she is one butt-ugly woman. And people used to think Chyna was a man. A great cat fight on Monday between Mrs What? and Mrs. Game prompts me to ask: when do we get a real match? Meow!!! Nice to see the Undertaker's heel change has done wonders for his career. You may be a bad ass, but you have as much chance of winning the Rumble as Golddust or Hennig. (Those guys are one night only, right?) As for The Game, his air of invincibility was shattered on Monday. But rest assured, HHH and What? 3:16 will be left at the end of the Rumble. The question is: Will HHH win outright? Will Austin? Will they do a Bret Hart-Lex Loser ending? Only Vince has the answer to that one. Nice to see some of the other talent in the WWF pushed to the back of the bus. A main event with no Rock, Austin or HHH. A chance for Jericho, Christian, Storm, Rikishi, and the APA to showcase their talents. And what do we get? A quick match so we can see the HHH/Austin/Taker script. Nice job Vince. How many people besides Chris Jericho and his family care that he's the world champion?
