Vince McMahon held a meeting with producers to tell them that he appreciated their opinions on the matter, but that the three were coming into the company. The Law say that the three have been signed to a minimum of three-year downside contracts. Morale in the meeting was said to be low at that point with many seeing it as a slap in the face by Vince McMahon. Front office members have been set against the signing of the three for weeks now but probably faced the fact that Vince McMahon is the boss after that annoucement. The hosts of The Law suspect that men like Jericho, Angle, Edge, Test, Booker, RVD, Benoit and may more have had at least two years chopped off their careers by this move as Hall, Nash and Hogan are not known to take their kind of offensive manuvers. They also say that Eddie Guerrero has also been backstabbed by the signing of Scott Hall whose sheet of wrongdoings is much longer than his. The end of professional wrestling is grusomely being predicted by the folks at The Law. Let's hope not, but the signing of three people who had a BIG hand in ruining a top promotion won't help. With only six days until Sunday's monumental Royal Rumble Pay-Per- View, you had better believe that emotions will be running at a feverish high tonight in Dallas! Since being busted open by Mr. McMahon, what will Federation co- owner Ric Flair have up his sleeve before his match-up with McMahon this Sunday? Also, after The Rock pinned him this past Thursday on SmackDown!, you know that Chris Jericho was plotting revenge on the Great One all weekend. Will he hatch his scheme tonight? And finally, we already know ten participants in this year's Royal Rumble match, including Triple H, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Kane and Big Show. Will anyone else throw their hat in the ring tonight? Also, as announced on HEAT last night, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle will battle the Big Red Machine, Kane, tonight on RAW! Watch it all unfold tonight LIVE in Dallas at 9/8 CT only on TNN! --Apparently, whenever Mr. Perfect's name was mentioned on SmackDown! in teh UK this weekend, it was edited out. --Staying with Curt Henning, it looks as though Hogan's influence was felt a week before his signing as it was his recommendation to have Henning added to the Rumble main event. --More info has come in on the signings of Hogan, Nash and Hall. As previously reported, they all signed downside guaranteed contracts which mean they can actually make more than what is being reported. The Law reports that Kevin Nash and Scott Hall signed for three- years in the $600,000 - $700,000 range while Hogan is believed to have signed on for a paltry $1.2 million also for the ussual WWF minimum of three-years. The one stumbling block in negotiations for the past two weeks were the number of dates these three were required to work. It looks as though Hall will work less dates to be home with his family (only TV dates and PPV's) while Nash seems to have bent on his house show hatred and will work a couple dates a month including TV's. Wrestling reports that Martha Hart's book that's co-writen by Calgary Sun columnist Eric Francis is tentatively scheduled for a fall release from Key Porter Books. The Stu Hart book currently in production by the ECW Press is set to be released around WrestleMania in March. --Over the weekend it seems as though XPW upset its continent of fans by promising a big surprise for their show last Saturday but not delivering. 1Wrestling now reports that the "person you would never expect to see in XPW" reported on their website was none other than Joey Styles. At least they thought. Apparently, Styles had called the XPW offices a week ago in the hopes of syndicating his wrestling hotline. XPW then began calling Styles in the hopes of getting him to LA to appear at the show but Styles told them that he was pretty content on staying retired from pro-wrestling. PHILADELPHIA- RF Video presents Ring Of Honor is proud to announce that it has signed former ECW World & NWA Champion "The King Of Old School" Steve Corino to be a regular member of the Ring Of Honor roster. Corino will be at ROH's debut show on February 23rd, 2002 at the Murphy Recreation Center in South Philadelphia just five blocks from the ECW Arena and five minutes from I-95. In fact, there are no plans for Corino to ever wrestle in ROH. Instead, Corino will take his career in a new direction. He will announce exactly what his role will be in ROH and why he has selected that to be his future in wrestling on 2/23. Corino has a long relationship with RF Video that includes his hilarious parody of a shoot interview in 1999 and his entertaining, insightful and extremely honest real shoot interview, which was just released. Corino has also hosted tapes for RF Video including Extreme Matches Vol. 2, which featured the most hardcore matches ever to take place in ECW and The Best Of Steve Corino. These titles are available at RFVideo.com. Ring Of Honor will present wrestling as an athletic sport, not as sports entertainment. ROH will feature well organized cards that flow from the first match to the last. ROH has assembled a roster of only the most talented wrestlers who can perform Japanese, Lucha, American and hardcore styles. All of ROH's storylines and character development will begin on 2/23. The first show on 2/23 is headlined by a double dream match main event of "Latino Heat" Eddy Guerrero vs. "The Insane Luchador" Super Crazy and a three-way dance pitting "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. American Dragon vs. Low Ki. The card features the best talent from all over the United States including Jay Briscoe vs. The Amazing Red in their first ever singles match; Spanky & Michael Shane vs. Oz & Ikaika Loa in a battle of the top students from the Shawn Michaels' Wrestling Academy; Joel Maximo vs. Jose Maximo vs. Brian XL vs. Quiet Storm vs. Chris Devine in an Ultimate Aerial Elimination bout and Xavier vs. Scoot Andrews.
