Here is a recap of the program. The show opened with Booker T's arena entrance video. Booker summarized his career, mentioning that he was a heel when he was in Harlem Heat & a face as a singles wrestler. He then said that he wants the fans to either really hate him or really like him and that he enjoys playing both roles. Booker said that he wants to perform for the fans at the highest degree that he can. Booker stated that he wants to be remember as a superstar that set a standard & mentioned that when he first started wrestling, his goal was to change the black wrestler stereotype from being someone that just danced & did headbutts. He then said that it's still his number 1 goal. Booker introduced every video in the Players Top 10 Videos countdown. During the videos, Booker put over the artists and information about Booker's career & life flashed across the bottom of the screen. The top 10 videos were: 10. "Break Your Neck" by Busta Rhymes 9. "Bouncin' Back" by Mystikal 8. "Gets No Love" by Faith 7. "So Fresh, So Clean" by Outkast 6. "Lay Low" by Snoop Dogg 5. "How Do You Want It?" by Tupac featuring Jodeci 4. "Put It On Me" by Ja Rule featuring Lil' Mo & Vita 3. "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Jay Z 2. "Take Away" by Missy Elliott featuring Tweet & Ginuwine 1. "One More Chance" by Notorious B.I.G. Between videos, Booker appeared a different spots throughout WWF New York. He also compared the size of his hands to the size of Andre The Giant's hands, plugged WWF merchandise & thanked BET for choosing him to host the show. ===================================================================== Comment//============================================================ Rounding the Squared Circle - by Sam Jerry GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUNGRY, YOUR USELESS" OR "THE ROYAL STUMBLE?" VISIT MY HOME PAGE: http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/samjerry/index.htm With The Royal Rumble, the first big PPV of 2002 coming up next Sunday, the WWF has invited several old (and the operative word is "old") friends to be a part of the fun and games. Who will we see that we have had the pleasure of not seeing lo these past couple of years you ask? To misquote an old poet "Let me count the neighs." Returning from purgatory, aka one of the WWF's minor leagues, where they have been banished for seasoning, gimmick makeovers, etc., are: Sean Morley, aka Val Venis, who had the chance to become a star but wound up back in the minors. His biggest claims to fame were his catch phrase "Hello, Ladies," and his actions behind closed doors (or in some cases open ones). Val was the John Holmes of The WWF, getting lost in his porn star gimmick. Hopefully his time in hell has improved his ring actions and he will find a place on the loaded roster(s)? Charles Wright, a man who has had more gimmicks than David Copperfield, including Papa Shango, The Godfather (his biggest) and The Goodfather (the low point of his career). He is said to be returning as The Godfather, however, in The Royal Rumble Match he wont be able to bring his Ho's. Without the Ho's, he might as well return as the Gonefather. The pops he got were for the boobs he brought. Then we have some individuals that left The WWF for greener pastures, only to find that the pastures were desserts. Among those we will see are: Virgil Runnels little (now there is an oxymoron if I ever saw one) boy, better known to us as Golddust. What's the best way to describe Little Dusty? A couple of weeks ago on Excess, The Big Slow was the guest and being the great imitator he is, was asked to do Goldie. He said "I don't do him." To which The Little She Devil with the 36 DDD's responded, "I don't do him anymore either." For those who aren't aware, she used to be married to Little Fatso. Curt Hennig, aka "Mr. (Im) Perfect, will grace us with his presence. How can you not love a man who could shoot baskets better than Michael Jordan (in his heyday), out hit Ishiro, out throw Kurt Warner, etc.? It may have been a gimmick, but one gets the idea he began to believe it. Too bad he can't out wrestle anyone above the mid card. Now we come to the real winners. Who does The WWF need as much as Custer needed more Native Americans? more than bin laden needed more B-52's? Who else but The BIG Lazy. The one thing he did well was to remain an asshole buddy of The Emperor. After many "he dids" and "he didn'ts," he has signed a contract with The WWF, reported to be for seven figures and for two years. He originally wanted to work only on days of the week with an "X" in them, or on Eskimo Holidays (and "work" in his case is not to be confused with physical activity). Other than name power he brings little with him, unless we end up seeing his faithful Indian companion Razor down the line. It is possible, but highly improbable that Shawn (HBO) Michaels will make an appearance, Should this happen, look for him to make a quick exit if he is entered in The Royal Rumble, or at least take bumps no bigger than Princess Stephanie before her transformation. Last, and certainly least, is The Chumpster. Like The Big Lazy, he too remained but a phone call away from The Emperor. There is no doubt that there are still a lot of Chumpamaniacs who will wet their Fruit of the Looms should be appear, but at what cost. The WWF has people up the ying-yang who deserve a chance to be on a PPV. The Royal Rumble gives The WWF the chance to empty the locker room, so why do we need to be subjected to this over-the-hill zero? With all these outsiders invited, why wasn't old Grandpa Dudley among them.? After all, he can still kick Bubba Ray's, DeVon's, Little Spike's and all the other Dudley Boyz asses, sometimes two at a time. Hell, at the last Dudley Thanksgiving Day Dinner, he put Bubba Ray and DeVon thru the dinner table during dessert. Oh yeah, we will almost surely see Dirtbag Doophus Page return to action. He is needed slightly less than The Big Lazy or The Chumpster. He uglied up SmackDown last night when he appeared in an environment he belongs in; he showed up in the little boys room as Mr. Sucka was trying to clean off The Stinkface he just received from The Ass That Devoured Mexico. If he was of any use, he would have brought a 50 gallon drum of lye to help Mr. Sucka. What is significant is that the Goldie and ImPerfect (as well as The Chumpster if he shows) will make a one night appearance and disappear as fast as they came. None of the invited guests will win The Royal Rumble, a spot the smart money says is reserved for HHH. Of course, this is The WWF and anything is possible. Who knows, we could see the first female Royal Rumble winner. ===================================================================== Remember...========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
