While many would think that Rock/Test, Austin/Booker & Jericho/RVD are obvious fixtures for the PPV, you may wonder why we're seeing those matches blow off this week alone. We saw Y2J/RVD on Raw, and we're also going to see the other aforementioned matched up on SmackDown! tomorrow. The belief is that the much anticipated January 7th Edition of Raw will make the PPV more pronounced and throw everything we've seen so far out of whack. Of course, that speculation can turn on a dime and we could very well see the very same matches listed above. The early word on the Rumble itself is that Triple H is the shoo-in, but we might be swerved since that outcome may be too obvious. Historically, the winner of the Rumble gets the World Title Shot at WrestleMania, but sometimes that isn't the case. That's usualy a last minute decision made by the Federation for planning the road to WrestleMania. Most insiders believe that Jericho will hold onto the Undisputed Title about as long as the February PPV (which may have it's name changed from No Way Out). Not unlike Kurt Angle's World Title run of a year ago. At that point, he will drop the title to whomever the WWF wants to headline WrestleMania in March. Source// ===================================================================== RATINGS//============================================================ *Raw on Monday night did a 4.0 according to Neilsen's media Research off of hours 4.0 & 4.0 Raw isn't expected to get better ratings than these during the odd holiday season as the taped edition of Raw this Friday will air on Christmas Eve and the "Best of" show that will air the following Monday will air on New Years Eve. (NYSE: WWF) today announced it will be conducting a series of international live event tours in Asia, Europe and Australia in 2002, starting with a three-city tour through Asia in March. Asia's SmackDown!(TM) Tour will start at the Yokohama Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on March 1, 2002. Performances will also be held at the Indoor Stadium in Singapore on March 3, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on March 4. Total Sports Asia will coordinate the Asian tour. WWFE also will add events around its Insurrextion pay-per-view event on May 4 in London's Wembley Arena, which sold out in 21 minutes earlier this month. The three new events will be in the United Kingdom and Germany. In addition, WWFE will be scheduling an event for Australia in summer 2002 and a second European tour in the fall. Specific dates and venues will be announced later. "Through our international television partners, the World Wrestling Federation(R) has built a strong foundation for further global expansion.
