Savage's challenge was to take on Hogan at a charity event at the Bayfront Center early next year. Hogan claimed that Savage only made "the challenge" to make him look bad if he were to decline (which Hogan did on the show). The show actually called the hospital's director during the broadcast. He said that they (the hospital) figured that it (the challenge) was a promotional work and assumed that Hogan was in on it. Let's hope Hogan doesn't sue the hospital for libel. News of the WWF knocking down WWF themed websites that don't produce hits has been around for months though. Or so it would seem from a glance at the Forbes 400 Richest Americans list, which is packed with plutocrats but includes fewer than 100 names that the average American might recognize. The modern culture of celebrity obsesses over Hollywood types but pays less attention to tycoons. Below are 15 notable exceptions: the irresistible rich, as identified by Forbes.com. Add them to your People Tracker list, and you'll automatically be updated on their latest doings. We toted up the final scores by ranking the Famous 15 against each one another on the following criteria: television and radio mentions, press clips, Web hits and books written about them that currently are in print. Ranking first in the category earns 15 points; ranking 15th earns one point. The last category was the most important; we triple-weighted this score and gave extra points for biographies published in 2001, which indicates current interest in the subject. Web mentions generated by Google; press clips by Lexis-Nexis; biographies by Bowker's Books in Print via the New York Public Library's online resources; TV/radio mentions compiled via Dow Jones Interactive's media transcripts. Net worth figures from Forbes magazine. Forbes 400 rankings are for 2001. On Vince McMahon, Forbes says: His failed XFL football venture was a major black eye for McMahon, but his World Wrestling Federation stars remain enormously popular, and he shines in their reflected glory. Who would have thought that a man could propel himself into the Forbes 400 by promoting staged fights between costumed entertainers? But TV viewers love to root for Chyna or the Rock--and to hiss McMahon, who plays himself as a cartoonish villain on the WWF program. Pro wrestling tends to fade in and out of popularity, but right now it's hot and so is McMahon, despite the XFL debacle. Vince McMahon On The Forbes Four Hundred Richest In America comes in at number 364 on a list topped by the one and only Bill Gates. ===================================================================== Article//============================================================ XWF Press Release - House Show hype NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2001 - - The XWF - - the new international wrestling company based in Tampa will proudly unveil a revolutionary approach to promoting arena events when its "Countdown to the XWF" infomercial hits the air this weekend in Chicago, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Detroit, Grand Rapids, MI, and Toledo, OH. You can't say it was dull at all. In fact there was very little I didn't like about the show. My only real criticism is too much Vince you know like too much Shane and too much Stephanie. As I always say as a face I can handle his appearances, as a heel, forget it too much overacting which means Vince becomes extremely annoying. And I still don't understand Angle not side by side with Vince, but Booker is. I don't like it. Vince with Angle flowed better this union with Booker. For me this isn't natural. Booker and Vince don't have that chemistry. I do like Ric Flair being a face, because like Vince as a heel I find Ric a little bit much, but as a face more low keyed but still entertaining. I would love to see Ric take a good swing at Mr. McMahon and hit his target. Anyway other than Vince and Booker being together the show was fun to watch. I didn't expect to like the opening match with Regal/Angle vs. Rikishi and Edge. But I liked it a lot. I thought it was fairly face paced and there was a lot going on. The fans seemed to enjoy it, and for me it started off the show very well. Of course Regal managed to use those damn brass knucks, thank to Kurt handing them to him behind the ref's back. But tonight I didn't mind that because this match was very entertaining. I'll tell you after the match when Edge did that DDT on Regal with the chair under him, it was unbelievable seeing that blood pour out of Regal's nose. For God's sakes, get him that surgery and let it be really soon. Even I couldn't take what I saw. Amazing to see that kind of blood loss from one person. Well just like Raw, Vince and Booker had to show up with their heel grins, security guards and guard dogs. That's how scared those two are of Stone Cold Steve Austin. And this time Flair took them to their own private sky box. He told Vince they need to co-exist and Flair was doing a nice job sucking up to Vinny, making him believe that Flair will do things Vince's way. Now don't tell me Vince is that naïve? Well he seemed to be. Ok here's a great part. Test my hero starts making a play for Lita. He comes off caring but when she turns him down he starts showing a different side. If you remember at Vengeance he came on very strong to Trish, and had a fit that she threw him out. I'm seeing Test's character starting to go into a would be rapist type thing, and believe me I don't think that's a smart move at all. I understand the reasoning for acting like an idiot is because he has immunity, but to come off like he's going to force himself on one of the females isn't a bright thing. Hey I'm hoping that Test continues to "break" the rules, in other ways and they find some way to suspend him or punish him, just to show him he can't get away with everything just because of this immunity clause. I hope what I wrote made some sense, because as I am writing this is sounds a little weird. Anyway he comes off strong with Lita and Jeff comes to Lita's aid. And Jeff challenges Mr. Personality to a match, Test accepts, can't wait. Tajiri is back, no it's not Heat or Jakked it's Smackdown and Tajiri and Torrie are back. He defends his title against Crash Holly. Nice match with some good moves. They both worked well off each other. At the end of this one, little teeny tiny Crash started to go toward Torrie, lights out, and we see the video of The Hurricane. Lights back on and Hurricane is on the turnbuckle and takes out Crash. Torrie is saved and Helms is back minus Mighty Molly. Are they through? Will she still be at his side? Tune in on Monday's Raw. Lance Storm came back and again begged Flair for one more chance. Flair wasn't thrilled about doing that but gave him one more match and told Storm if he loses he never wants to see him again. Storm was fine with that. Test vs. Jeff, not a bad match, and thankfully Test didn't put it in slow motion. It had a good pace and Lita did a beauty of a Litacanrana on Test. Of course Test caused a DQ when he kicked Hebner into the ropes which caused Jeff to fall, Jeff was in the process of doing a Swanton Bomb on Test, but no luck. After the match Test started to hit Hebner, Rock all of a sudden comes to Hebner's rescue by giving Test a spinebuster taking a few shots and then hitting him with the Rock Bottom. Oh a Test/Rock feud something I've always dreamed of. Matt Hardy is playing poker with those lovable guys APA. They seem to be Matt's pal but Faarooq keeps asking Matt personal questions about Lita. Matt tried not to let that bother him and the game goes on. Meanwhile Vince and Booker have a small fire in their skybox. They manage to put it out. After that some firemen arrive, and Vince tells them there's no fire, he says you're just like the cops when your needed you're not around and when you're not needed you show up. And guess what? One of the firemen happens to be The Texas Rattlesnake. He takes some shots at Vince, and then he and Booker take it out to the crowd and out of the building. You see Booker leave by car, and Austin follows right behind him. And now it's one last chance for Lance Storm and his opponent is Kane. I can't say it was a bad match I liked it nothing special but watchable. Of course Kane won and Storm lost. You see Vince holding an ice pack on his chin from Austin's punch looking very upset that Kane won. So I'm thinking that Storm will be hired by Vince, brilliant aren't I? Back to the poker game and Faarooq continues questioning Matt about Lita. Matt handles it fairly well until the question of Lita being a real red head gets asked. Bradshaw says why not ask Jeff. Well that's it, Matt turns over the table and ask if they want a match? So Matt stayed cool as long as he could, but I guess he's not quite over Lita yet. Tazz, Albert and Scotty vs. The Dudley's and Christian with Stacey. I liked this one, and it was good seeing Tazz in there. Again not the match of the night but really fun to watch and fun for all you guys since Albert pulled Stacey's little skirt down again. I was a little shocked to see Christian tap out to the Tazzmission. Are you noticing that Christian on his own doesn't seem to be happening lately? Booker called Vince from his cell phone and told him he was going to a restaurant to get a cappuccino. He said he lost Austin, but then right before he hung up he told Vince the thought he saw Austin's truck in the parking lot. More to come on that situation, but first back to Matt it's him against Bradshaw. I guess you know who wins this one? I think they both did a decent job, but no way in hell was Matt going to win. Bradshaw go the win and I can't really believe this mini feud will continue, but it just might. Well this had to be one of the matches of the night. Austin beating the hell out of Booker at a grocery store. The damage they did was great, and Austin showed absolutely no mercy on Booker. I found this to be a very good segment, long but that was fine, because it was basically an Austin/Booker match with Booker's ass getting the worst of it. This is a must see. As this is going on you see Flair smiling and Vince pouting, you know this whole thing isn't done yet. In fact a very beaten up Booker said I'll get you Austin. The main event was the undisputed champion Chris Jericho who we didn't see during the whole show. And his partner Undertaker vs. Rock and Rob Van Dam. I liked this match very much. I love the way Jericho played with the crowd before the match bragging about his two belts. Again I'm very happy about the way he's portraying his character. I wish Undertaker would change his entrance music so the crowd would boo instead of cheer. Rock was Rock and it was nice seeing RVD since he wasn't on Raw. I found it weird that it was VanDam who got the pin with the Vandaminator on Jericho. Jericho by the way was busted open on his forehead. Not taking anything away from RVD but I could see Rock pinning Jericho more than RVD. And truthfully I would have rather have seen Jericho get the win without Booker's help. I thought during this match Jericho in many ways was made to look weak, maybe I'm wrong, but I would like to have seen him dominating the match more. But it's early and I want to see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Anyway Smackdown was good and as I said fun to watch. I have to say I'm looking forward to Raw I think we could see some good matches Monday night. I would just like to see Vince keep a much lower profile but I'm sure that won't happen. I mean I can't remember when a McMahon was never eeeeeeever on a show that I've watched in the last three years. And I'm sure Vinny isn't going to disappear just yet. Don't forget Shawn Michaels on Excess this Saturday night, I expect ratings to sore, at least I hope they do. ===================================================================== Remember...========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
