You can read his great article at http://www.canoe.ca/SlamWrestling/dec8_madigan-sun.html Source// DJ, 1wrestling, slam! wrestling ===================================================================== Article//============================================================ News & notes from Jim Ross -Here are this week's latest news and notes from Jim Ross: *William Regal may have surgery as early as next week to fix his nosebleeds problem. *Perry Saturn may have a strained lower back or bruised kidney, but he will not miss any TV time. *Shawn Stasiak will have to wait another few weeks before his bursa sac is removed, to see if the inury can heal by itself. *Edge will continue to wear a brace over his knee, and since the brace has been worn he's experienced no problems. *Test is still suffering back spasms, and further examinations will be required to determine the extent of the injury. *X-Pac is about 50% away from being at full health as he is still suffering from neck problems. *HHH will return to the ring full time in early January. *Mike Awesome will be having ACL reconstructive surgery next Friday in Tampa, FL. *Ironically enough, DDP chipped a tooth at a house show last weekend and will go and see a dentist to get it repaired. He won't miss any ring time. *Taka Michinoku is still in Japan, and will head home to Puerto Rico soon. He still has 4-6 months of rehab before he returns. *Hugh Morrus is still working through some shoulder soreness. *Randy Orton's shoulder is improving drastically, and will return to the ring early January. *Kanyon is still rehabbing every day from his knee surgery, and is about 4-6 months away from returning. *Hardcore Holly, who is doing Tough Enough 2, is still several months away from returning to the ring in a full capacity. *Scotty 2 Hotty won't need surgery to correct a neck injury, but he is rehabbing and is using a special traction device at home. *Jerry Lynn will be released to return to the ring early in January. *Tiger Ali Singh suffered a concussion in Puerto Rico last week. *BJ Payne in OVW is suffering from some lower back problems. *Russ Haas, who suffered a heart attack a few weeks ago, has been cleared to return by his cardiologist. However, the WWF is going to seek a 2nd opinion on this matter. *J.R said that he wouldn't be surprised if many of the released talents this past week would return to the WWF in the upcoming months. *The Rock will be doing a photo shoot to go along with a story in Vanity Fair soon for an issue in the early part of next year. Stuff Magazine is also going to be doing some stuff with The Rock in the spring. The Rock will also be appearing on the cover of Muscle and Fitness Magazine early next year. *Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum which has museums in London, New York, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Las Vegas, is looking to do a wax figure of The Rock. *Triple H is going to be involved in Parade Magazine this Sunday answering a reader's question. *Lita's interview and photo shoot in Rolling Stone will be out in early February. *Kurt Angle's going to be doing some work with ESPN's "College Sports Century," with a profile of another amateur wrestler. *DDP's doing a Toys for Tots drive in Atlanta a little later on this month, and he also has an interview and photo shoot for a tentative March release in Yoga Journal. *Trish Stratus is doing a photo shoot Saturday in LA for Oxygen Magazine for a story that's going to be coming out about her in early 2002. *Some Japanese affiliates including Total Sports Asia want to interview Tajiri to do some PR work. *Ebony Magazine considers Booker T one of the sexiest bachelors in entertainment. *Chris Jericho's going to be out in Los Angeles playing in the NHL All-Star Celebrity Hockey Challenge on January 30 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. *J.R noted that several developmental talents will more than likely get the call up to WWF TV early next year.
