Source// wwf.com ===================================================================== News from the WWF//================================================== -Dave Scherer reports that WWFE has released former WCW wrestler Evan Karagias, who was expected to be released Wednesday but didn't due to him missing the scheduled meeting with the developmental talent co-ordinators. -Scherer also notes that all of the released HWA talent will work advertised shows through until December 19. However, it is expected that Alan Funk aka Kwee Wee will not work these shows as he already flew home to Atlanta as he took being released very hard. -All HWA talent still under contract have been re-signed to a 3 month contract, at which point they will be re-evaluated. OVW will hold their cutbacks meeting next Wednesday is Louisville, KY. -According to 1wrestling, Mike Sanders was on the verge of getting cut yesterday as part of the developmental cutbacks, but the WWF changed its mind and now has a gay gimmick planned for Sanders which may debut on WWF TV at some point. -WWF.com has posted an article on Ric Flair titled "It's always interesting when the Nature Boy is around", which you can read by clicking http://www.wwf.com/news/headlines/1099150 -As heard on SmackDown! last night, Triple H will guest star on MADtv this Saturday night on FOX at 11/10 CT -After the jump due to the returns of Ric Flair and Jerry Lawler to the WWF, Raw Is War's ratings fell back to where they were before showing that the viewers who came back to the WWF's flagship show were not impressed with the direction of the storylines and matches. In the Nielsen Media Cable Ratings for Nov. 26th to Dec. 2nd, Raw Is War (the first hour of Raw) scored a 3.4 coming in at 5th while War Zone (the second hour of Raw Is War) brought in a 3.6 and came in at 4th. Both hours were beaten by a broadcast of the movie 'Call Me Claus' (5.1) on TNT which took the Number One slot, NFL Football: Bills vs. 49ers (4.7) which took the second position and NFL Football: Eagles vs. Chiefs at third (3.8). Each ratings point represents 1,055,000 households -The Torch reports that Maven and Rikishi are expected to appear at upcoming HWA shows. One can only assume that Maven's position is secure. Sources have indicated that he is working under a one year contract. Even if his deal has a 90-day review clause, cutting him would hurt Tough Enough's credibility and open the company to some bad publicity. Besides, Maven has received good reviews from WWF wrestlers who have worked with him. More than one of those wrestlers put Maven over as being better in the ring than the majority of the more experienced developmental wrestlers. -Ric Flair is the guest on Byte This! today at 4PM Eastern. -"A (very) full moon at SmackDown!" is a story on Rikishi's return to WWF TV last night to give Mr. McMahon a stink face.
