We came to the agreement that should I be offered a position with the WWF and I chose to accept it, that they would not hold me to my contract. Awesome, however, feels that he can work with the current injury and reportedly would like to do so. He has been working out the last week and thinks he can work on it. He has another doctor's appointement on Monday and if he can get clearance, may actually come back within a few weeks. One thing to note is that Flair is asking for $1 million, which would be $800,000 for what he's making to sit at home and an additional $200,000 to actually work. However, if he arranged a buyout at 50 cents on the dollar, the WWF would only have to come up with $600,000 to get him to the $1 million mark. To think that $600,000 could be a deal-breaker. To give you an indication of where Vince's priorities are, consider this: Because no deal has been made with DirecTV, the WWF will lose anywhere from $800,000 to $1.2 million on Survivor Series tomorrow. That could have paid for Flair. Since this is the second show in a row without DirecTV, as of Monday they'll have lost between $1.6 and $2.4 million. Of course, plans always change. -The rules for the main event, in case it's not entirely clear, is single elimination, just like the survivor series matches of old. -Stips for the battle royal are exactly like the Royal Rumble, only there's no timed entrances. They all get in the ring, and go. The winner has a guaranteed job no matter who wins the main event for at least a year with the winning company. -Expect the Rock/Jericho feud to continue on after the PPV for the WCW championship. You may find it odd that all titles are being unified except for the worlds.
