Hogan had been holding out for a major money deal to work these tapings according to sources close to the company. Whether it was a Hogan work (probable) or not is unclear, but reports from yesterday did make it clear that people were expecting Hogan to be part of the show and he was giving indications of it. Source// Dave Meltzer ===================================================================== News from the WWF//================================================== -WWF announced it will once again be doing a $14.95 PPV on the web of Survivor Series. They tried that last month and it was nothing but problems. They want to get more heavily into this because of it's potential, but people who have tried viewing PPV's on the web have always been disappointed in the results. Of course, nobody but boxing and WWF these days do big PPV numbers anyway. Click http://tm0.com/wwfent/sbct.cgi?s=22543250&i=419689&d=2018198 for more information. -Last night at WWF affiliate Ohio Valley Wrestling TV tapings, Rico Constantino lost a loser-leaves-OVW match to Kenny Bolin and Prototype. Constantino has worked several dark matches for the WWF over the last few months and may actually show up on television VERY soon. -Mick Foley's comments on Raw on Monday were controversial for a number of reasons. He has made it clear on recent radio interviews and in more detail with conversations with friends that he is fed up with how he has been treated by the WWF since his retirement from in- ring action, so much of his emotion was genuine during his promo on Monday. His shot at X-Pac ("nobody cares that he's gone") was the only scripted comment in the entire speech, and it was inserted by scriptwriter Brian Gewertz. X-Pac and Gewertz have a "Seinfeld- Newman" type relationship. X-Pac was very hard on Gewertz when he was put on a trial in a locker room grilling session by wrestlers who were fed up with what they believed was his arrogant and disrespectful attitude toward veteran wrestlers, and X-Pac spoke just a few weeks ago against an element of backstage skit that Gewertz was in charge of. There isn't much sympathy for Gewertz taking shots at X-Pac considering the reason X-Pac is out of action right now is that his neck, which has had major surgery due to years of taking bumps, needs therapy since he has been suffering from increasingly serious pain in recent weeks as a result of, as one wrestler puts it, "taking bumps, something Gewertz doesn't have to worry about," -There is said to be a sense of saddness in the WWF locker room among Eddie Guerrero's friends. As expected, he was fired as a result of his DUI arrest last weekend. He had just completed rehab for pain pill addiction. He spoke about his situation in a WWF.com interview a couple of weeks back. His personal life was already in shambles, and friends of his had hoped he could be clean on the road and get his professional life back on track. His friends, however, realize the WWF had no choice since Guerrero made the bad decision to get behind the wheels while intoxicated. -In an interview with Chairshots Radio, D'Lo Brown said that he was told he would be brought back up as soon as the writers come up with something for him and it could be as soon as January or WrestleMania. He also said that he's lost 40 pounds since we last saw him in the WWF and he is ready to go.
