As those who have been following this story closely are aware, this is not unexpected as she never fully recovered from a seizure on Sept. 28, and since suffering a further attack on Oct. 12, doctors had informed family members that she would likely not recover. She was 76. According to Federation Superstars, Helen was an exceptionally warm and compassionate woman, and a good mother. "Even when I just met her right off the bat she was very, very, very, very friendly," said Chris Jericho. "She reminded me a lot of Owen Hart in that respect." The late Owen Hart, Helen's youngest son, was one of the most beloved superstars among his peers. Another of Helen's sons, Bret, is among the most decorated superstars in Federation history. The entire WWFE family sends its heartfelt condolences to the Hart family and all others affected by this loss. -Hardcore Holly has posted an interesting interview on WWF.com. In it, he talks about how he was disappointed with the situation where Kurt Angle broke his arm after a moonsault last year, which has caused recurring problems this year. On this week's edition of 1Wrestling Radio on 1Wrestling.com, Jeremy Borash intimated that Steiner would be a part of the group's next tour. Upon checking it out, I have found out that Steiner will be appearing on the tour, which starts near the end of this month and runs into December. I believe Steiner's AOL contract expires at the end of this month, so he may not actually wrestle until December, though I am not sure on that. My understanding is that Steiner will use this tour to get some ring time and get back into ring shape after being out most of the year with a badly injured foot. At that point, I don't know what his future holds. The WWF is on the record as saying that they want him, and in my opinion, bringing him in would be a strong move for them. WrestleMania tickets went on sale to the general public Saturday morning at 10 a.m. By 10:01 a.m., almost 2,000 tickets had already been sold! At the end of the first hour 50,215 tickets were gone as fans from around the world purchased their tickets to the March 17 event taking place at SkyDome in Toronto. By noon, 52,930 tickets were in the hands of World Wrestling Federation fans. Although there are very few tickets currently available for WrestleMania, the SkyDome staff -- in conjunction with Ticketmaster and World Wrestling Federation Entertainment -- are looking at ways to add seats. Source// WWF.com ===================================================================== Article//============================================================ HULK HOGAN TALKS ABOUT THE XWF Patrick MacKenzie's report: Hulk Hogan was on Real Radio 104.1 FM in Orlando on "The Monsters of the Midday Show." Host Russ Rollins is a wrestling fanatic and had a great discussion with Hogan about a number of issues, including the new promotion and Goldberg's involvement, an agreement to wrestle Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania, and his feuds with Vince Russo and Randy Savage. Rollins asked Hogan if his last match was a work or a shoot. Hogan said, "it wasn't memorex," and explained that he couldn't talk in detail due to legal problems. [Hogan currently has litigation pending against then WCW owner Time Warner]. He said many people told him he used "colorful" language, but that the worst he said was "the S-word," and then he proceeded to spell it out for those who couldn't figure it out. He said Vince Russo swerved him and changed plans at the last minute to screw him. Rollins said a lot of listeners wanted to know if Goldberg would be involved in the new promotion. Hogan said they share the same attorney so they have talked, but that Goldberg will be sitting back and "taking that Ted Turner money." He did say that he talked to Scott Hall two days ago, and that Hall is interested in doing some "Hey, yo's" for his promotion. He also hinted that he is strictly a behind-the-scenes guy, saying that his body has taken too much of a beating. He dropped names of guys who are on his list, committed to the promotion: Piper, Valentine, Nasty Boys, Public Enemy, Vampiro, Konnan, Bagwell, and many others. He said the young guys will get their chance, it will showcase wrestling and limit the use of scantily-clad women. He said it will be kid-friendly. Hogan said he had an agreement to wrestle Vince McMahon at last year's Wrestlemania, but that the deal fell through when he realized how many days he would be away from his family and how much work it would take. He said he loved Vince McMahon and that he was starting something new that would someday raise the industry to a higher standard, but for now, they were not competitors of the WWF. Rollins asked Hogan if Randy Savage would be involved. Hogan did an uncanny dead-on impression of the "Macho Man" and said he doesn't know where he was and that Savage always blames him for his girlfriend troubles and accuses Hogan of being the "special guest referee." That was some reference to Hogan "hooking up" Savage's girls with other guys. David Rosenberg of the Wrestling Angle's report: Hulk Hogan was on Real Radio 104.1FM in Orlando this afternoon and the Monsters of the Midday show. He talked about the XWF. He said they still don't have a TV deal yet, but the syndication offers are pouring in. He says he's gonna be in the background and not play politics so the young kids could get there chance? Huh??????? He said they have Vampiro, The Harris Twins, Nasty Boys, Greg Valentine and many other stars. He says that the Macho Man blames him for every woman that leaves him. Hogan came off as real cocky (Gee there's a surprise). He said he spoke with McMahon last year about WrestleMania, but nothing ever materialized. He also said that Goldberg will most likely sit and collect Turner money and not join his promotion, but said Goldberg would be with him when his deal is up. He also said that he wants to put on a great show and not some show where a guy will threaten to throw you off a bridge, then hug you the next week. He said he is not trying to compete with the WWF. He says he is shooting higher. The guys on the show kind of kissed his butt as if he was the Elvis of wrestling. Dave Scherer's Thoguhts: My point of view on this is that Hogan is doing a sales job right now, which makes sense since that is what the fledgling company needs. It would not shock me to see Hogan later say that "I didn't want to be on camera but it's what the company needed to get TV" or something like that. Anyone who thinks he doesn't really want an on- screen role is fooling themselves. On top of that, David said that the host treated the Hulkster like he was the Elvis of Wrestling.
