It will be called Wrestle Force America. I don't know if it will be a full time promotion like the WWF, or if it will be a house show promotion, similar to TCW. It was also announced that former WCW wrestler Lodi will be involved in establishing the promotion along with Big Show member, Jeff Pillars. The matches will take place in cities where the Big Show is broadcast, (105 stations in 25 states). The promotion is set for a launch date of Feb. 2, 2002. A site was not announced. C.W. Anderson called in to the Big Show today to challenge Lodi. They will have a match in Rocky Mount, NC on Nov. 16th, (the site was not announced), where Anderson can "win his way" into the new WFA. Considering that they only have Lodi, I'm thinking that Anderson is a lock. "In my opinion, a lot of really good, talented guys have been pushed down the card without really getting a fair shot at proving themselves." -Judging from Smackdown, you can mark down Edge vs. Test for the WWF Intercontinental Title at Survivor Series. Other than that and the main event, nothing else is even close to being finalised at this stage. -Due to time restrictions, the match with Bradshaw vs. Christian for the WWF European Title was cut from Smackdown. The interesting thing is, Christian actually won the title from Bradshaw. He joined USA Network in 1998 as president of programming, but resigned this week. The article cites the WWF as a contributing factor to Chao's departure. I'm telling you from beginning to end the show was fantastic. Not one bad match. Let me say right off that the Cincinnati fans were OUTSTANDING. Stephanie wasn't on, and Shane was but just a little bit. My God you couldn't ask for more. As I said not one bad match throughout the show. The opening match with Rock and Jericho vs. Test and Booker was great. I'm not even going to pick on Test. All four looked terrific. Jericho's missile drop kick hit Rock instead of Test. This caused Test to give Rock the old boot to the face, and The Book to pull Jericho out of the ring. Test then pinned Rock for the win and the WWF Tag Team Champions are now Booker and Test. But making this even better was Rock fuming at Jericho for what happened. After they both stared at each other Rock started to leave, but Jericho came into the ring and pulled Rock back. That's when Rock hit Jericho with the Rock Bottom. Rock then starts to leave, but wait Rock's not done. He walks back goes in the ring and Rock Bottoms Jericho again. God I love it, as I said on Tuesday, this feud has been so much fun to watch. And there's more to come. Backstage Vince is going crazy over the loss of the WWF Tag Team titles and Rock and Jericho going at each other. He begs Rock to make up with Jericho and tells him that it's now Rock, Jericho, Kane, Taker and Vince against Austin, Shane, RVD, Angle and Booker. Vince keeps going on how Rock needs to stay cool to win at Survivor Series or they'll be out of jobs. (I find that rather funny.) Rock says he will always be the WWF. Then Vince says that Taker will win the WWF title from Austin, and Kane will beat Angle and take the U.S. title, that's when Jericho comes in and he Rock go at it. Again the feud just keeps getting hotter and hotter. The Hardy's and Lita take on The Dudley's and Stacey Keibler. Right before this match Jeff is in the locker room and Lita comes in looking for Matt. He's not there but Jeff checks out Lita's badly bruised eye, you know the one Matt hit by accident on Raw. Lita asks Jeff if Matt has been with Stacey. Matt walks in on Jeff and Lita and isn't pleased. We are getting a little tease of what might be a heel turn for Matt. Anyway I liked this match. Even though the Hardy's and Dudley's have been in a thousand matches together, this was a good one. Again they all looked very good out there including Stacey. The Dudley's and Stacey won after Bubba pushed Matt into Lita who went down. Jeff went to check on her and poor Matt got the Dudley's 3-D. This Matt, Lita and Stacey thing looks to be very interesting. I'm wondering why Trish has gotten into it yet. Anyway I look forward to more, and I'm dying to see if Matt does make a complete turn at the Survivor Series. Now it's time for Kurt's explanation why he turned. Not the best reasoning, but typical WWF thinking. You know like Austin joining HHH, because Hunter is so sick and will do anything. Angle turned because the WWF has the weak team, and Austin is the MAN! Well he didn't say it like that but that's what he meant. Hey the whole time I watched Angle I couldn't believe how big his neck is, WOW. Anyway after Angle's done Shane and Austin are standing next to him. Shane and Austin are praising him. Just watching Angle's promo I wonder if the rumor about him being a plant by Vince is true. I don't know he didn't sell me for his defecting, but then who knows. I'll tell you it's making the main event for the SS a lot more intriguing, at least for me it is. Hey I want to say the match with Kane vs. Kurt for the U.S. Title was awesome. It was long and the fans were so into it. I thought Kane put on one of the best matches I've ever seen him in. I never thought I would enjoy this match like I did. Again great wrestling and fantastic fan reaction. By the way Kane tapped out from Angle's ankle lock and lost, but I enjoyed every minute of that match. There was a little vignette with Regal asking Tajiri to join the Alliance. Torrie was with her man and kept telling him not too, so Tajiri refused. Regal seemed cool about it, and went to shake Tajiri's hand. Then that rotten commissioner started to beat Tajiri up. He told Tajiri that he was his nemesis and he would meet him in the ring. There's more with Kurt and Austin. They are backstage along with Debra and Austin tells Kurt he loves him and has something to give him. Angle looks a little worried, and then Austin gives him an Austin 3:16 hat. But wait there's more Kurt gets his gold medals back. Austin tells him he fished them out of the river for him. Angle says it's the happiest day of his life, tells Austin he loves him and hugs him. You see a very weird look on Austin's face as he's being hugged. Rock challenges Jericho to a match for the WCW title on Raw this coming Monday. Rock wants this match to be the end of all the garbage that's going on between them. So now the question is will Jericho accept? The answer is coming up. But meanwhile as Angle and Austin are hugging RVD comes in. Austin gets a little cocky with him and tells him he better win against Edge. Angle echoes everything Austin says to RVD including WHAT? The comedy team is back and even better than that; RVD gets so annoyed with the both of them he just walks out. RVD and Edge put on a hell of a match. Unlike Monday's with a very dead crowd this crowd was hot, as was the match. It was for the Hard- Core title. Edge and RVD worked very well together, this match was fast and filled with action, the only downside was Test walking down the ramp. RVD looked at him and commented something like I don't need you. But Test interfered and RVD hung on to his title. I wish this would have just been a clean win the match was going so well. I have no idea why Test came out, but it was such a minor thing, I'm letting it slide. And the answer is yes. Jericho was asked if he heard Rock's challenge for Monday's Raw. He said he knew about it, and he would give Rock the answer right now. He walks in Rock's dressing room and attacks him; the refs come in and pull them apart. Now after all that went on last night, can you tell me you're not looking forward to their match on Raw? Regal beat Tajiri in what I thought was a good one. I'm not a big Regal fan in the ring, but this match seemed to have some nice moves. Maybe it's because Tajiri was the opponent, I don't know but again a good match. Vince is trying to apologize to Taker for thinking he was the defector. Vince also tries to pump Taker up to beat Austin for the WWF title. Taker says two things Austin can kiss his ass, and Vince can kiss his ass. A very emotional skit. Ok, just kidding. Taker looked so good in this main event. Talk about a pay per view match these two guys really gave it their all. There was Austin with blood pouring down his face, chair shots, a little brawling and a lot of good wrestling. Again the fans in the arena were so totally in this, what a difference it makes when you have a hot crowd. This match had a run in at the end from Angle giving Austin the win and retaining the WWF title. Angle and Austin after the match beat up Taker and then the two with Shane toasted each other with beer. A great ending to a very very entertaining show. The matches were all worth watching, and it seems with so little of Shane and no Steph it definitely made a difference. Also there were no long promo's which might have also made this show so good. The only thing that drove me crazy was Michael Cole constantly saying that the main event between Taker and Austin was the biggest ever on Smackdown. I find that hard to believe. I remember Rock vs. HHH for the WWF title on the first Smackdown and Shawn Michaels was the ref who screwed Rock out of the win. And I'm sure there have been many other BIG main events.
