Hovering precariously near "two rating" territory, Raw Is War scored a 3.2 while War Zone rated a 3.3 broadcast. Following the No Mercy pay-per-view the night before, you can be sure that the WWF expected higher numbers for Raw Is War. If Raw Is War ends up falling into "two rating" territory -- a field filled with low-rated WB and UPN shows and programs that are a second away from being axed -- you can expect heads to roll in a big way. Each ratings point represents 1,055,000 households in America. During the same interview, he said that Rikishi will be back by the Survivor Series PPV. -WWFAuctions.com currently has a few articles from Chyna featured. The items include ring attire and other articles of clothing. Items featured on the site usually are signed by the people who wear them. However, these items don't. The FMW has announced that the paralysis in the upper part of his body has been declining, but nothing was mentioned about the lower extremities. -Smackdown did a 4.5 rating and 7 share on the overnights based on the top 49 metered markets, which was the same number it did last week. Friends did another monstrous number, an 18.3. Competition may have been easier so staying steady is not a good sign, as there was no baseball (for those of you who want to use the baseball excuse for Monday, and it is a very slight valid excuse like the difference between 3.9 and maybe 4.1). UPN finished fourth for the night. Matt Hardy and Lita will arrive in the U.K. early, on Oct. 31. Jeff Hardy is staying behind to participate in a special Halloween function in North Carolina. -Officials were very impressed with Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton after their outings over the last three television days, and their house-show (non-televised event) appearance last Saturday in Columbia, Mo. -Steve Austin, who has nine staples in his head, had an MRI on his lower back Wednesday which proved to be negative. Austin's lower back has been a "sore spot" (no pun intended) since June's King of the Ring. -William Regal's torn biceps is healing and will still make his house-show bookings. Regal is a tough hombre. -Several international tours are being discussed for 2002. Nothing has been finalized; however, several areas that have been airing our TV broadcasts for quite some time are hoping to get live Federation events next year. -Ivory is in Alaska -- Juneau and Anchorage -- making appearances at Kmart this week. -WrestleMania tickets go on sale in Toronto and through Ticketmaster on Nov. 3. -The Big Boss Man, Ray Traylor, is giving new bride Terri away at her Nov. 3 wedding. Source// WWF.com and of course Jim Ross ===================================================================== Article//============================================================ Mick Foley Talks Mick Foley came in live to promote his Halloween kids book on the Opie and Anthony show in NYC Friday morning. Here's a report from PWTorch.com: When he came on, the guys were discussing their proof of their producer Rick being gay. Foley brought his two kids with him and they were in the green room, so the hosts had to tone down the talk. Foley did tell a quick story about walking in Time Square near WWFNY with his kids and they took a wrong turn and passed a gay peep show showing movies. Foley said his daughter wanted to go in since Mick has always preached that they shouldn't spend a lot of money and they both thought the 25 cent movies were a good deal. He obviously kept walking. He also told the Beyond the Mat story about how his daughter's favorite word for awhile was nipple. Foley praised Al Snow for his role on Tough Enough. Said its hard to make fun of Snow now that he is so respectable. He joked that his appearance on T.E. was cut to two minutes after he spent two hours there. Perhaps it was Snow's revenge? He said MTV wasn't interested in seeing a broken down wrestler teaching ring psychology. He said the Hardy Boys and Lita were on for like ten minutes because people want to see high flyers. Since the Snow jokes are now passe, his new target is Test and read the line about his horse teeth in the book and how the illustrator did a great job. Put over Triple H's appearance on Tough Enough and that it drove one of the contestants out of the running that night. They talked about Triple H's torn muscle injury. Foley joked that despite his injuries, he was able to stick around a long time because no muscles equals no major injuries. He mentioned that Regal is the latest victim, but said he's not going to take time off and fix it. Foley said the worst injury he had pain-wise was a torn abdominal muscle when he was WCW. He said he was examined by a proctologist(???). He said he was afraid that he might have broken his pelvis because his unit turned black. Yeech! The hosts announced that Foley will be doing a book signing at WWF New York on Oct. 29 from six until Smackdown starts. They added that he will be on the "Today Show" on Halloween to read from his book in front of a bunch of kids. O&A and Mick then exchanged stories about book signings and how sometimes they expect long lines and don't get them and then when they don't expect them, they do. After a commercial break, they took questions from callers. Foley was asked if he did indeed turn down an offer to come back and wrestle William Regal (as reported in the Torch Newsletter). He said yes. He gave a long answer, which he said would get him in trouble with the WWF. I didn't understand it but he basically said that he feels he's got one big match left and he didn't want it to be with Regal. He talked to Regal to make sure he understood it wasn't a slight against him. He said he needs to drop about 30 lbs. before he comes back. He also joked that Vince has this internal switch when he sees a red light on a camera that turns him into a maniac, especially after the Bob Costas interview. He had a great line asking what investor would want to drop money into WWF company after that interview. He later put over Vince as a genius and the coolest billionaire. Another caller asked Foley what he thought of the current Steve Austin character. Foley said that while Austin is great and a great heel, you probably shouldn't have your top heel do comedy. But he did say his skits with Vince and Angle were some of the funniest things he's ever seen. Foley said he thinks once Austin turned on the WWF at Invasion, he should have been the old Austin heel and to heck if the crowd cheered him. Next caller asked Foley what it was like to be back in Kansas City after the Owen incident. Foley said it was a weird feeling and it still gives him goose bumps. Foley talked about taping the segments with Regal from Monday's Raw and that they had to shoot them a bunch of times because they kept cracking up. He said that humor is missing from the WWF and maybe that's why he's back. Foley had to leave to do a charity ice cream eating contest to raise money for the homeless.
