In actuality, Hogan is not the owner, but he will play that role on television. Apparently Hogan wants to be the on-air version of what Vince McMahon is on WWF television, so he began that "worked" persona today on the radio. The real financial backer and owner of XWF, one source tells PWTorch.com, is Walter Frank, whose net worth apparently exceeds $100 million. A second source says that Frank has told people within XWF he is willing to spent $30 million on the promotion. "He's willing to lose that much as long as he has fun in the process," says the source. "Even better if it's profitable and successful in the long run." Rudd Denney, a business associate of Frank, is going to be in effect the CFO of the promotion while Mike Lima, a Chicago businessman, will also be involved in the corporate operations. Hogan's interview on the radio today has already irked some within the XWF who fear that he is going to "go into business for himself" in terms of the public face he gives the company when in fact he has had little to do with the company's start-up efforts thus far. The fear is he is going to do what's he thinks is best for himself without consulting others first. The following is an excerpt of the statement: Vince and I, along with J.R. had a chance to speak at length and clear the air about things, and it really made me feel good when Vince said to me, "King, You know this is your home, and you're always welcome here, but we know you want to get your personal life in order, and when you get that done, we'll talk again." Maybe you're wondering where I'm coming from? Well after watching Test on Smackdown I think he has become the number 1 WWF wrestler that really gets on my nerves. I swear I can't take every show hearing JR, Heyman or Cole just ranting and raving about how important Test is, and how he is maybe the greatest thing the Alliance has. Come on give me a break. If you recall they did this with Albert for a while and look where he is now. Wait I don't know where he is. Anyway the reason I'm mentioning all this is because for me it wasn't too much Stephanie, Shane, Vince or Linda it was too much Test, and too many close ups of him. Enough already. Other than that Smackdown was OK. I wouldn't call it fantastic or outstanding but it was simply all right. Yes the show did open with the McMahon children coming out with Alliance members and berating Kidman, Hurricane Helms, Rhyno and even the Dudley's. They were yelled at and The Dudley's, Kidman and Hurricane were even attacked by fellow Alliance members. I have to say when I read this in the spoilers it sounded really bad, but watching it was more entertaining than I thought. Hey Stephanie even fired Chuck Palumbo for opening up his mouth. Yeah the Alliance is starting to crack, at least I hope so. Of course their famous leader Stone Cold Steve Austin came out to what I thought were huge pops not boos. He told my girl Steph to shut up and said the most important thing was keeping the Alliance together so they could win at the Survivor Series. Austin also decided to make a Battle Royal, winner gets Y2J for the WCW championship. Austin had to get Regal's permission for this and Regal agreed. So it's on to the Battle Royal. Now I'm not one for Battle Royals, they're kind of cheesy. I can't take them seriously. This match was no different. You had Raven, Credible, Storm, Booker, and others out there and one by one they're being thrown out. And the remaining happen to be RVD, Booker, The Dudley's, Raven and yes Test. Raven took out D-Von, Booker got rid of Buh Buh Ray, and darling Test threw Raven over. So now it's RVD, Booker and Test. And Mr. Alliance, Mr. Wonderful Test manages to get RVD, leaving it just him and Booker. Thankfully Booker took Test out and Booker would meet Y2J. Test gets rid of RVD, need I say anymore? I again liked the women's match. Molly vs. Trish. Trish is really looking decent out there. Of course this match isn't the top of the night, but again it was fast and it flowed very well. I like seeing Trish win since she always seemed to be at the losing end before her injury. She's giving it her all and I think it's making the matches look a lot better. Vince and his cuddly wife Linda were talking to Jericho. Vince told Jericho he really needed to beat Booker. I found this interesting, Jericho told Vince I've never let you down and Vince replied yeah you have. Could Vince be making Jericho feel unworthy of being a part of WWF? I don't know but so far Y2J is a loyal WWF member. Vince tells Jericho he now will go talk to Rock and Jericho tells Vince to tell Rock the champ says hi. Now isn't that sweet? Foley and Regal were together again, this time it wasn't as funny as Raw. In fact it wasn't funny. Christian walked in and asked Regal if he could have Kurt Angle for the U.S. Title match, since Angle said Christian had beetie eyes. Regal naturally granted Christian his wish. Christian leaves saying at least one commissioner isn't a joke. Foley laughs and tells Regal Christian just insulted him. Yeah that was the humor between the two Commish's tonight not very strong at all. Nidia made another no wrestling appearance. Tazz was yelling at her, telling her she doesn't have what it takes. Al Snow came to her rescue, and told Tazz that all he does is bully people. Al told Tazz to leave his kids alone. I'll tell you Snow was very serious, but I thought he came off very very good. Tazz meanwhile let Al know that he would bully him in the ring. Vince showed up in Rock's locker room. Vince couldn't have been sweeter, only Rock isn't buying it. He asks Rock to go for the Hard- Core title against RVD. Vince told him how important it would be to him. Rock looked at Vince and said a few choice words. Then said he would do it but he would do it for the people. Vince seemed ok with that. Christian and Angle were next. And you know I'm going to say it was a very good match. Lately any match Angle's in comes off so good. As I always say both guys worked hard and very good with each other. Angle was bleeding again, and no RVD wasn't the reason. I don't know what happened but it looked like his lip was cut open. But hell Angle must be used to it, because in the last few weeks I don't think Angle has had many matches without be busted open. As I said another good one and Angle again won putting the Ankle Lock on Christian. After the match you see a very upset Austin. He's backstage with Booker. He starts pumping up Booker for his match against Jericho. Austin's watch says Booker is going to be 6-time champion. Yeah Booker is pumped and ready. Again another good one. Jericho looking very good as did Booker. I was watching Jericho and like Angle, Chris has really come into his own since the summer. He works hard takes major bumps and every match he's in looks good. Jericho managed to hang on to the WCW title. Unfortunately I didn't get to see most of Snow and Tazz's match. I did tape it and will watch it but I got a phone call. Normally I don't answer any calls, but I unfortunately I picked up this one, and paid for it. As I said I will watch this match, because I'm very interested not only in Snow and Tazz but I want to see all the fans in the arena took to it. Sgt. Slaughter comes in and says Shane wants Vince outside. Shane wants a street fight. Vinny is already and he and Slaughter leave to go find Shane. Linda stays behind. This is where I thought the show was weak and corny. Vince and Slaughter are in the parking lot looking for Shane; he's not there. Why? I'll get to that in a minute. But first it's Y2J and Rock having a little conversation. Jericho is getting a little more hostile each time they talk. Which seems to make Rock a little more nastier as well. Rock congratulated Jericho for winning another big one that would be his match against Booker. Jericho tells Rock he hopes he beats RVD then like Jericho Rock can be a double champion. Rock mentions to Jericho that Chris should know something about Hard-Core matches. He tells Y2J that he wears the black around the wrist, he has the sideburns and wins matches with chairs. Whoa, low blow, Rock. Rock leaves and Jericho just looks at him with a grin. OK back to Shane, he's not in the parking lot because he and Stephanie who by the way looked very nice last night, were with Linda. Shane grabbed Linda's arm and let her know he was not to happy about her calling him a wuss. Then he held Linda and Steph slapped mom hard in the face. Linda fell to the couch. Now we saw this once before with Steph and Linda, so it wasn't that shocking. Even though Michael Cole seemed totally saddened and shocked by it. But I think what bothered me was after break Vince comes in, Linda's crying and covering her face. She then tells him what happened. I don't know the whole thing seemed too much of a soap opera with Vince and Linda, having nothing to do with wrestling. I don't mind Vince being a face, but I don't need the over caring and loving husband. It's not him. By the way, are you ready? Another Street Fight on Raw. Shane vs. Vince. Oh boy I can't wait. I hope they don't think that's going to drive the ratings up? I'm afraid just the opposite will happen. Another Hardy's vs. Dudley's match. This is for the WCW Tag Team Titles. These four have wrestled against each other so much I kind of lose interest. It wasn't a bad match it wasn't a great match, and the belt was won by the Dudley's who now are the only ones to win WWF, WCW and ECW Tag Team Titles. Congratulations Buh Buh and D-Von. A nice main event. RVD vs. Rock. And this is for the Hard-Core title. This match for me got better as it went along. RVD didn't have the crowd behind him like I thought he would. There were RVD chants, but the Rock chants were louder than I expected. There were some great RVD moves and things were going along fine until Shane had to run in and interfere. He pulled the ref out of the ring then ran in and DDT'd Rock. RVD pinned Rock but Rock broke the pin. I have to say this started getting the fans really going. Vince starts to run out so Shane runs away. Back to the ring, RVD tries the VanDaminator on Rock, but he misses, Rock then DDT's RVD, and my favorite Test runs out and does the pump handle slam on Rock. This brings out Jericho who goes after Test. But wait Booker now comes out taking out Y2J and then Rock starts beating on The Book. Things are looking good for Rock who does the spine buster on RVD, but Booker trips Rock and then hits him with a garbage can, this helps RVD, who then gets the win. Test and Booker put Jericho in the ring and they both beat on Rock and Chris. And that's the show. Not a bad match, however I could have done without the interferance. There was very little of Austin last night, and Angle did no mic work. Also, noticeably missing were, Edge, Kane, Undertaker, and DDP. Noticeably seen too much was Test. Ok, I'll stop with Test now, by the way do you notice all he seems to do is his kick to the face and then he gets in position, waves his hands and yells come on. My God I know his every move. Anyway there's going to be a Street Fight on Raw, and I'm sure it's Test vs. Jericho for the WCW title, and I don't know if Booker and Rock are going to go at it. Or maybe it will be Test and The Book vs. Jericho and Rock for the WWF Tag Team Titles. Whatever happens I hope it's good those ratings are falling bad, they will need more than hyping up a Street Fight with the McMahons to make you watch. But whatever happens I'll be there. Oh one more thing for those of you who watch Excess, and I don't think many of you do, the show will be on two hours earlier Saturday night. Did you notice no guest was mentioned? I'm thinking they're trying this time slot to see if they can get ratings and maybe put WCW in there sometime soon. So please watch it so the ratings go sky high. I really want them to go their separate ways and soon. ===================================================================== Remember...========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
