In the Prime- Time Nielsen ratings for Oct. 8-14, Smackdown! scored a 3.9 in the ratings and came in at 79th out of 126 shows. Last period Smackdown! had a a 3.7 and finished in the 88th spot. Though its debut on UPN beat Smackdown!, Buffy The Vampire Slayer was defeated by Smackdown! this period. Buffy had a 3.7 and finished 82nd. Enterprise still beat both the WWF and Buffy though with a 5.0 at 66th. The Number One rated show was Friends with a 17.9. The rating is the percentage of America's estimated 105.5 million TV homes. Each ratings point represents 1,055,000 households. Source// slam! ===================================================================== Article//============================================================ Rock being saught to star in "Conan 3" HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) – With "True Lies 2" and "Terminator 3" in the works, it seems Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning to yet another past success in order to pump up his flabby box office fortunes of late. The action star confirmed his participation in a third "Conan the Barbarian" movie, dubbed "King Conan: Crown of Iron", and gave some details at the Bakersfield Business Conference on Saturday, according to a scoop at The Arnold Fan. "Yeah, we are making 'Conan 3,'" Schwarzenegger answering an autographer's question, and then revealed that pro-wrestler The Rock was his choice to play Conan's son. "We are trying to get him to sign on," he added. The third "Conan" was penned by John Milius, who co-wrote and directed the first film. But, according to the final draft that the Arnold Fan read, the role of Conan's son Kon is supposed to be 18 years old, making the Rock a bit long in the tooth to play it. Though such details can be easily modified if Schwarzenegger really wants him for the role. Schwarzenegger's "Collateral Damage" was pushed back from its original Oct. 5 to next year, possibly February, out of sensitivity in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Production on "Terminator 3," with Jonathan Mostow ("U-571") at the helm and not James Cameron, was pushed back to summer 2002. The original "Conan" grossed nearly $40 million at the box office back in 1982, which would equal about $70 million today, adjusted for ticket price inflation.
